I decided to change Optometrists to Wilken, primarily because they are very close to where I live and work. I really needed a new glasses prescription. I dropped in without notice, looked around, met the front desk staff, asked some questions and scheduled an appointment for my exam. Carla did the initial part of the exam, and Dr. Bret took over after that. Both exams were very thorough, actually more thorough than at my previous Optometrist. Afterwards, I sat down with David, who walked me through the frames, lenses, and options. We talked about $$$, and I ended up ordering two pair of of glasses; a two zone progressive pair for work (scanning back and forth from documents on desk to computer), and a true progressive pair for all around use. He said it would take about a week to get them. It took eight days. I went in, and put the first pair on. Wow, perfect. Then the second pair. Same thing, perfect. After Angie made a few adjustments so that they fit my face correctly, I was out the door. Couldnt be happier. Great service by all involved, and they got it right the first time around.

There is no better service to be received in Texas (or elsewhere I imagine) than at the Wilken Family Eye Care Center. I was recently invited to the Valentino event and purchased more glasses than needed. This was due AGAIN to the exceptional service received by the entire staff. Everyone participated in helping me pick out every pair purchased. I picked them up (before the holiday) and am still bragging about the service and exceptional choices. This may sound crazy, but it was very hard to decide so I ended up with numerous glasses that I absolutely LOVE! I have been visiting Dr. Steph (and Dr. Bret) for years and I cannot give enough praise. The professionalism, knowledge, recommendations, etc., have never let me down and helped in so many ways. Also, I usually get lucky with David being the one assisting me with all the finalities. Do not miss out on his expert assistance. And, if you ever get the chance --- GO! You will not be sorry!! Dr. Steph and Dr. Bret and team are the best!

This was by far the best eye appoitment I have experienced. Everyone was very helpful and very friendly. I felt like I was dealing with people I had known for years. Its a very fast process and they go over everything with you. Dr. Stephanie is awesome! She was helpful and upfront and really made me feel comfortable. David helped me pick out my glasses and he was able to help me find a pair I liked quickly and effortlessly. He listened to what I wanted and was able to find me a pair of glasses that I love. He was also very thorough with all of my insurance and costs. I would recommend Wilken Family Eye Care to everyone. They are the best! I will definitely be coming back, along with my husband!

The online appointment maker resulted in a quick call-back and a convenient appointment. The visit was excellent. Carla, the Doctors assistant, was very helpful, competent and gave clear explanations to my questions. Dr. Bret is always great with his examinations and has always given my family a sense of caring and outstanding service. David Hilario, the optician was very helpful in selecting bifocal sunglasses and explaning the insurance coverages. When you consider that health care is not cheap, and with our insurance coverage, Dr. Wilken and his team provide exceptional value! I highly recommend them.

Very satisfied with Wilken. I realized at 3:40 PM that I only had two right side contacts left when I thought I had an R&L. My RX had just expired and I needed contacts for an event on the weekend in which glasses would just not work. I called Wilken and they were booked until the middle of the next week. I explained my situation and they squeezed me in that afternoon. Now that is service! Both Dr. Wilkens are friendly and caring. Plus they have the machine that screens without dilating your eyes. A++

Everyone at Wilken Family Eye Care was extremely friendly & courteous! I had to change my appointment a few times, and Gillian was very patient. She also promptly answered all of my insurance questions via email after my visit. Dr. Bret Wilken was very thorough during my visit, and sincerely cared about my satisfaction. The facility is beautiful, clean, and complimentary coffee and snacks are offered while you wait. I would definitely recommend!

Dr. Royal, excellent. Angie, awesome. Environment, welcoming and fresh. They have a vast number of frames to chose from. Angie the Optician is very knowledgeable about the frames they offer and can recommend the best style to fit a customers face profile. Wilkens Family Eye Care is a great place to go for your eye care needs and use techniques Ive never seen in over 20 years of wearing glasses. I will be back each year.

The staff and Optometrist were great. My only concern was that I specifically asks to see an Ophthalmologist. I was told they had one and made my appointment. Months later still having issues with my eyes. I called and asked for the name of the Ophthalmologist that I saw and was told it was an Optometrist. Really??????? Now how am I going to pay to see the doctor when I have already paid you?????

I called to see how much a contact lens eye exam was and I was told that they started at $155 dollars. I had been calling around town and most places start at $100 and go up for things like a stigmatism etc. A $155 starting point is ridiculous. Im sure their offices are nice, but if this is an indication of theyre pricing Ill be taking my business to the optical center located within Wal Mart.

My family and I are very happy with Wilken Eye care. We have been going there for the last two years -- much happier than my previous dr!!! We love their professionalism and their friendly service. And to boot they use cool technology -- the optomap -- which makes an IT geek such as me very happy with the time savings!! Next time I will try the online appointment maker

Dr. Stephanie Wilken has the ability to engage my 12-year-old daugther in a conversation about her healthcare while explaining to mom different options for treatment. Her high-tech tools and imaging reassure me that we arent missing anything and her health is in good hands.

I have been going to Wilken Eye Care for about 4 years now. Their staff is excellent and friendly. They have a great selection of frames and the doctors are fantastic. They just built a new facility and it is just beautiful. Right across the street from Market Street grocery in Coppell.

Great service and a very friendly staff. Call for an appointment and accommodated quickly. Very knowledgeable and their selection of frames is great. I ordered my new frames and lenses and was told it would be two weeks. They were completed in less than a week. Awesome!
