The absolute worst experience with any department store!!! Ordered online because JCP is a partner with my carriers frequent flyer eshopping program. I ordered on the 6th November for store pickup. Received email on 7th November stating out of stock and to call customer service. I advised customer service that I will keep order until they fine a store that had stock or until the company reordered stock. On the 8th November received email saying Good news, your pants have shipped to store and available 4-7 business days. Was never contacted that they arrrived. Call three different times to the actual store (told to do so by customer service) and couldnt get one person to answer the phone in any of their departments. Finally got a hold of Judy, manager for JCP Hurst, gave my order number and was advised they were there. Asked why I was contacted when order was available was told she had had similar experience. Advised my designated person for pick up would be in next day. Next day I got a refund notice from JCP crediting back my account. When I called the toll free customer service line I was told once again I had to call the store. Called and spoke with another manager who said it was refunded because the item sat there too long. Mind you, they never notified me as promised that it was ready for pick up. Now the refund they did invalidates my eligibility for bones miles that I was expecting. Have never ordered from JCP before and I will never do it again! Oh, and heres the kicker, my friend who drove to the mall just to pick up my pants, had to leave empty handed. So Im wondering, are JCP execs just sitting around actually wondering why their sales are lagging? These big salaried morons who cant quite figure out how to turn the company around? Maybe they should start reading here as a good jumping off point.

Love the department store itself. My issue is with the salon. Horrible experiences the last three times Ive gone. When i attempted to get simple highlights, the expert color tech turned my hair bright yellow and i had to go back the following day for another 3hrs in an attempt to fix highlights. Then today i went in for a walk-in appt about 10:30am, only wanted a trim- they couldnt take me... So i opted to schedule an appointment, the girl couldnt give me an exact appt time, said she just wasnt sure but shed call me when it was time...maybe 1:30, 2:45 could be 3 ....ok... 3o clock comes, no call so i call up there.... Missed my appointment, my stylist has another appointment coming in (clearly a priority over me) next available time would be 5:30.... What!? Spent the entire day waiting for a TRIM .... Ugh! And ZERO customer service and ZERO attempt to even try to rectify the situation. Very disappointed - most horrible salon Ive ever attempted to go to.

So. I ordered pictures from the northeast location. I went on my lunch break to pick them up. I needed a plastic bag so I could secure my photos in a plastic bag large enough to carry the photos. At the Photo Center they had only a small bag. The associate in the Photo Center told me I could go to customer service to get a larger bag. The lady at customer service explain to me that she could not give me a bag because I had not made a purchase. I showed her my photos that I obviously had purchased and she told me she still could not give me a bag. That is horrible customer service

I made an appointment at the salon for 3:30 that day. Just a haircut was all I wanted. I took off work early to do this. When I showed up, I was told that my appointment was moved to 5:00. No one called me or anything. I asked if I could just be a walk in. The receptionist said no because all those hairstylists in there were having a class right now. Talk about horrible customer service! Who turns away a paying customer (in this case a platinum JCPenney customer)? A room full of hairstylists and not one had the time for a customer. Thats sorry.

They have the worst collection, horrible customer service especially this location(most of the time the employees just talk amongst themselves) and when you ask for help they reluctantly turn around like you are a nuisance. Dillards has a much better collection cuter clothes, shoes, purses etc., better prices, better clearance, better service, and the store is cleaner.

JC Penny has started selling large appliances. I received the best customer service from Martee . Martee explained available options among their major brands. Also, I was treated with patience as I was having trouble deciding among some features. It all worked out thanks to the hard work and perseverence of my salesperson, Martee. Thank you!

I went to the salon today. Teresa cut my hair and I am beyond pleased. I have super thick and had super long hair, she took her time making sure the length and layers turned out great! Also, she didnt force awkward small talk with me so that was a major plus! :) will def be going back to her!

Horrible service! Waited for an associate for about 15 minutes , then when I found one she told me to find another lady to help me? She was on a personal phone call when I approached the counter & then hung up and told me to find someone else ?? this may be why the store is doing so poorly.

Its a nice store and they have a wide selection of clothing and other stuff; however my experience with customer service e has been horrible every time Ive had to deal with them. They take a long time to service you and seem as though they dont care whether you leave as a satisfied customer.

I went to pick up some items and they couldnt find them and had no idea where they were. The blond lady of the pick up area didnt have a badge and was rolling eyes all the time and has poor eye contact with clients. This place is going downhill.

Horrible customer service. One of the employees there was rudely accusing me of wanting to get free clothes when I was asking her about the discounts on clothing. Apparently she cant define nor differentiate the meaning of discounts and free.

Thoroughly miserable! Confusing checkout process, after waiting some time I was told I was lining up the wrong way. Several hundred dollars worth of merchandise is now sitting in a nearby heap, not purchased.
