So this afternoon I came into the store to do some shopping for summer and i realized I I had some G-rewards that I get when I use my Gordmans Card. Basic rewards shopper card. Well I approached the customer service desk and waiting patiently till the associate could assist me, when it was finally my turn I asked he could help me find out what rewards I had and that I have $20 g cash without even letting me finish what I was saying he starts chuckling and saying "they dont care, they cant help you. This happens all the time" I said "excuse me? Whats so funny? Why are you laughing? Can a manger assist me?" He replied still chuckling "he wont help you" he proceeded by calling a manager over the radio saying "I need your assistance" 3 times. First, a lady comes up and the guy says "no, I need Michael" he might have said Mike. And after 3 or 4 minutes Michael approachs him with this disgusted look on his face and they swap words and Michael unknowingly that I was standing right there made it clear he had no time to deal with me. So I introduced myself and reached out my hand to shake his. For him to ask "what do I need?" So I explained to him I just had some inquires about my account and what my options where to use my expired by 1 day $20 bucks. NOT A BIG DEAL. If the policy was strict on no exceptions . I understand completely working in hospitality for 10 years. But! It doesnt hurt to ask. Sometimes there is an exceptions? Right? .. apparently I was wrong? This man seriously raised his voice at me infront of several customers and my 3 year old repeating him self over talking me at a time saying "ARE YOU IN THE SYSTEM" but it was was sarcastic seriously speaking to me like i didnt understand. I finally said hell if I know! I just told you I have G-rewards and a visible Gordmans Card in my hand so obviously yes. He then again raised his voice saying that he wont speak to me unless Im professional! Mind you readers I was calm and not even upset, confused but not in any way disrespectful untill he kept raising his voice for no reason when I wasnt even speaking. He proceeded to tell me my rewards dont mean anything didnt even attempt to go look me up yet Im suppose to know what the system says? He was so hash and rude he scared my daughter literally. Honest to god. This man Michael continued telling me that I should be paying attention to my account and when Gordmans was sold I should received a "TEXT" AND "EMAIL" IF IM REALLY A REWARDS MEMBER! I said thats fine but you dont have to insult me! And why is your associate laughing at me ?? He shrugged and said "well" I finally asked why are you treating me like this!? Why did you come up here and tell your associate you didnt have time?? I said is it cause what Im wearing!? My tattoos? Is it cause Im young!? Whats your problem!? You scared my daughter ! I would NEVER talk to any one how your talking to me like Im trash or not good enough? He said SMERKED AND SAID "IM DONE WITH THIS CONVERSATION AND NOT GOING TO CONTINUE TALKING TO YOU" I said fine. Whats your name? He said Michael something and walked away. I said okay and proceeded to my daughter and my husband who was calming her down. And a bystander stopped me once I reached the doors and said he recorded the most of altercation, he was kind enough to send it to my e-mail. I have reached out to ever customer service e-mail and phone number and sending my statement and video contacting corporate offices. THIS IS NOT TAKEN LIGHTLY. PEOPLE SHOULD NOT BE ASHAMED OR PUT DOWN MENTALLY OR EMOTIONALLY FROM ANY ONE LET ALONE A STORE MANGER FROM A PLACE OF BUSINESS. THIS COULD BE HAPPEN TO ANYONE IF THIS IS NOT CORRECTLY ACCOUNTED FOR. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE BY ANYONE OR BY ANY PLACE. YOU DO NOT BULLY PEOPLE CAUSE YOUR A MANGER OR HAVING A BAD DAY. ITS NOT OKAY. I WOULD NEVER LET MY EMPLOYEES, COLLEGES, CO-WORKERS, FAMILY, FRIRNDS OR CHILDREN TO ACT IN THIS UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOR. TREATING PEOPLE LIKE THAT IS INHUMANE! MY BUSINESS WILL BE TAKEN SOMEWHERE ELSE. SINCERELY A TRAUMATIZED CUSTOMER.

I just love this place period! Im pushing 6 months pregnant and although they dont have maternity clothes they have other clothes that are stretch pants that are very comfortable actually more comfortable than maternity clothes! The prices are always great, the customer service is just how I like it (less nosey) but the staff is always curious if you found everything you needed when you get to the cash register! Ive also realized that if you do have trouble looking for something, the staff is always willing to offer an extra hand. And I love the fact that they have shirts that actually cover my fat belly! I literally walked in and bought 3 complete outfits with accessories and an extra three pairs of shoes not to mention baby clothes and a few other items and I spent less than $200 totally surprised me absolutely excited every time I go in there! And they have the cutest little clothes for infant girls!! Totally worth the cheap prices as these clothes last longer than other department stores for those prices!!

I love Gordmans for their affordable, stylish clothes! I find a lot more style in the Juniors Section than the Womens, however. They always have plenty of variety in the womens section, but it just isnt as stylish or trendy. Ive had problems with a few of the pieces Ive bought from there, but not big enough problems to keep me from going back. I had a dress rip, but I sewed it up. I also had an oversized t-shirt shrink significantly. There may be a reason their prices are so good, not the highest quality. Their home decor section is great! A lot of variety and cute signs and other decor items. I especially love the wine and coffee decor selection. A week after Halloween their leftover Halloween merchandise was 75% off! Great bargains on different items! And there was still plenty to choose from at that point. Not everything I buy there is a winner, but with such decent prices, I can afford to win some and lose some.

After spending 45 minutes in the store we approach check out with 25$ gift card my daughter gave me for my birthday. The cashier rings up the its and I give her the card. She informs me that Gordmans has new owners so I have two options. My purchase is under 50$ so they can give me half off purchase. My total is 31$ and change and so she wants 15$ and my 25$ gift card. (If you do the math I would be losing 10$ of the gift card with this option. My other "option " is I can wait till July and get a new card (from new owners) for full 25$ value. What the hell? Really? We left without the purchase and our cashier Megan returned my card to me. So my question is...Why should I settle for less than the value of my gift card just because you filed bankruptcy Gordmans?? Not the customer fault or responsibility. Just rediculous!

Great store in general. Had horrible customer service. I went to return a pair of toddler shoes I had bought for $14 because they were a bit small. I was then informed the shoes were priced at $25 and I needed to pay the difference before the return. The fact that they were priced wrong isnt my fault. Then I was accused of sticker switching. The manager was involved and I asked them to pull the tapes if that was a concern. I have yet to return to the Rock location. Buyers beware.
