Dear Family Christian Stores, I had the unfortunate experience while shopping in one of your stores this morning (12/7/13). Store #360. Your employee, Tracey, was blatantly rude. She stopped her transaction with the people in front of us and scolded us condescendingly to "folks, were forming one line right here, RIGHT HERE. That means BEHIND me, right HERE!". I was embarrassed by this experience and, had my children not been present, I would have confronted Tracey about her rude tone. You are a CHRISTIAN BOOKSTORE and should not only exude the spirit of Christmas this season but GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE and PROFESSIONALISM to which your employee, Tracey, did not. The shoppers in line behind us looked at us sheepishly in disbelief and I was disappointed that your representative, your VOICE of Family Christian Stores, treated us in such a manner. Furthermore, your employee that checked us out, LUCAS, appeared as if he was confused as to HOW to check us out. We presented him with a coupon YOUR STORE emailed us and he looked at it skeptically and asked "was this REALLY Family Christian Stores that emailed you this coupon?". My wife stated "Yes, I got it the other day and the coupon is good today between 9 and 1. Lucas then said "Well, it could have been a fake or a fraud. We see a lot of those these days". Having been embarrassed by Tracey, I then decided to put my foot down and I told him "Look, this is a VALID coupon coming from YOUR store. See? (I then held up my wifes iPhone with the coupon in FULL VIEW for Lucas to see). After he finished checking us out, our items (20 items worth 200 dollars) were still in the basket. He then says, and I quote surprisingly "Hey, I trust you so you can take this basket out to your car and unload then bring it back to us." Again, I was FED UP with the unprofessional nature of your employees and looked at him while trying to maintain my composure by saying "Seriously? We need a BAG for all of these items". At that point, Lucas appeared as if actually walking to get a back was a complete imposition for him. I will admit that both Tracey and Lucas DID say "have a nice day" but the shopping experience in your store was a failure on your part. You, as a corporate office, should be ashamed that this behavior exists in your retail store. Afterward, we went to LIFEWAY to complete our Christmas List and I must add that they demonstrated a HIGH LEVEL of customer service and professionalism. In fact, there was no comparison. Lifeways attitude versus your stores was of no comparison. Lifeway spoke to us in an adult way unlike the juvenile manner your employees at #360 demonstrated. I walked away from Lifeway satisfied in knowing that we were spoken to like adults and treated with respect. Without question, I will not be shopping at your store anymore. Granted, you probably wont miss our consumer dollars as we, one family, wont be wasting our time or money there. However, word of mouth advertising is something a retailer truly cannot buy and we will go OUT OF OUR WAY to tell people of our experience in your store and recommend genuine retailers such as Mardel and Lifeway that arent run by uncaring, unprofessional, immature employees that only care about themselves. Im not a passive voice. Im a member of several online communities in Humble and Kingwood. Pairing that with Facebook, I believe you are in for a negative influence in your retail area. I might even print up a few hundred flyers and hand them out at Deerbrook Mall one afternoon so people can truly see what kind of disappointment your store is. James W. Snyder Kingwood, TX

The Family Christian Store in Humble is now under new management which really shows! They have made some really great improvements in the organization of the store, there is a bunch of sales going on now, and there is going to be a special event on October 4th to celebrate some of the changes. Also, they are going to have a FREE Bible study seminar on October 18th to talk about Bible study tools and the different translations of the Bible. I really like the new feel and focus of the store. Great changes!

The owner operator knows the business. If you let her know specifics and or particulars, she WILL show your her talents and more importantly resolve your concern. You will leave as a satisfied customer with the intent to return.

The staff was very friendly. The atmosphere was just great. I needed someone to pray for me and they did. When I left I felt really blessed that I walked into this store.
