This would have to be one of my favorite bookstores in Houston, TX . This is a place that book-lovers, and even bibliophiles, will have to go to/visit!I just love City Lights Bookstore! It may look small on the outside, but its definitely bigger on the inside, kind of like the Tar dis from "Doctor Who". Hana. There are so many books to browse through all over this huge bookstore. It usually takes me about one and a half to two hours to look around, and sometimes even a few more hours. Lol! And I like it that this place opens late, too.

Predatory pricing, not the most knowledgeable/helpful staff, and they actually stock wrong textbooks for classes, which can become very problematic. Whats the point of having a campus bookstore if they sell you the wrong textbooks? Horrible return policy mean you might be stuck with multi-hundred dollar book you will never use or need. In addition, they are very inefficient, resulting in waiting in long lines, and they treat all students as potential criminals. Save your time, money, and sanity by ordering off of Amazon.

Very frustrating when you return your rental textbooks and they tell you one of them has water damage.......really?!!!! What the hell are we supposed to do if that is the way we received it in the mail! Money hungry people!!!!

The best place I buy my schoolbooks. There is usually a line, but not much can be done about that given the demand.
