When I visited this doctor, I had the same contacts prescription for 10 years with the same strength and brand. The doctor insisted on changing the brand to a more up to date brand. Ok, seems fine here. I ask how much more they cost, and the doc says the difference is negligible. Well, ok. I finish the appointment, expecting to get my prescription. I inform them I will not be ordering any contacts today, and I am told I must schedule a return appointment to "finalize" my prescription. I inform the scheduling desk I dont have time for a follow up appointment, and I need to order my contacts as I am entirely out. They inform me thats not a problem and just to call in once Ive worn the new brand for a couple days and let them know they are ok and how many boxes to order. I proceed that day to do some research on pricing, and come to realize that the doctor charges nearly $20/box more than what I had been paying for my old contacts. Great. So I go online, and order my old brand and request via phone that the doctor change his prescription back to my old brand. They say thats no problem. Well, that all changes when the web order comes through to the office for confirmation of my order. Suddenly, the doctors office balks and says they cannot release my script. When I call to resolve the issue, the doctor refuses to finalize my prescription despite having already been paid in full for his services. He says he will order a box of my contacts for me, but he needs a follow up visit for my own good. Right. I informed him of the FTC laws he is violating by trying to withhold my prescription due to my choice to order online, and he continues to tell me the follow up visit is a requirement. My insurance company straightened him out on that, too. In the end, he was forced to release the prescription, but visiting this doctor is not worth the hassle, in my opinion.

I have been coming to Dr Huber for 10 years for myself and my children. His staff is friendly and the visits are quick. In my experience Ive never been at the office for longer than 30 minutes. My fiance has gotten contacts from him and its quick and easy. He gives us a trial pair, we like them, we buy them and come pick them up. In my fiances case there was build up on the pair she wanted so he suggested another less expensive pair that solved the problem. Dr Huber speaks slowly to be clear and doesnt give a lot of doctor speak to show how smart he is. I got lasik and took his suggestion on the surgeon. Pre-op and post op were done with him and well as the surgeon. I was happy to do it because its MY eyes and sight is IMPORTANT. Hes fantastic with kids too. Ive been taking both my kids to him since they were quite young. Anyway, great experience!

So happy we found this place. The ladies that work there were all friendly and helpful. Dr. Huber was so nice and professional. He took his time checking my daughters eyes and chatting with her to help her feel at ease. Their selection of eyewear is limited but reasonably priced. I highly recommend this place.
