I took my bike to monkey wrench cycle. they were paid 300 to drain my gas tanks and use rust inhibitor and clean the carb. When I picked u the bike that sat there for 2 weeks, i was told the rust remover had to soak for 2 days. I picked up the bike and got less than 7 miles. My bike spit and sputtered as bad a when I took it in the shop. I tried to blow it out and get past what was caught in the carb. It rained 4 days strait. When I went to ride the bike I turned on the petcock and fuel rn out of my overflow. it was pouring. I took it to my local shop and asked what was going on. They checked it out and showed me the sludge they pulled out of my tanks. they said the sludge was built up well over a year and no way in 2 weeks could that happen. the oter shop(monkey Wrench never drained my tanks or removed the rust. maybe they flushed the carb, it did run 7 miles. they charged me $300 and 2 weeks fr a job never done. I am a lady rider and it is so screwed up to be ripped off when you pay $300 for a job a shop that actually did the work did for $132. Shame on you. So if you want to pay for a job never done, go to monkey wrench. They have no problem taking your money and lying about work not done. RIP OFF>>>>Yes i could have taken it back but if they did not do the work the first time, they werent going to do it the second time. So buyer beware. Just take it to Darrells the first time and save $170 and get it done right the first time in 5 days. Shame on you Monkey Wrench.

Ive been going to Monkey Wrench exclusively for about 4 years now. It all started with the installation of a tire I didnt even buy from Frank. No shop around would install it because either I didnt buy it from them or my bike wasnt a Harley. He asked me to let him price the tire next time and his pricing is as good or better than mine, so he has been furnishing my tires ever since. This last service was on my 2013 C90T BOSS. Not a common bike on the road and nothing like the older model C90Ts. I got a valve adjustment, oil change, plugs and front tire for $610 out the door (I furnished the plugs and oil). Note: Frank doesnt like to send a bike out the door with dirty oil, so either you change it prior to the service or let him do it. I dropped the bike off on Friday evening and it was ready to go Wednesday morning. I trust Frank so much now, I dont even ask how much, just when can he. Now, maybe after he finishes rebuilding the 2009 Spyder he has in his shop, I will take my wifes 2008 Spyder to him. :)

This is an amazing place to take your motorcycle, scooter, bike, etc. These people are so kind and the prices are very competitive. I would dare say that this is the best place in the DFW metroplex to get what you want done complete in a very satisfactory way. I love their honesty and friendliness. The last time we took our bike in, there was no charge at all. I do not think it would have been like that had we gone somewhere else. We bought our bike at 360 PowerSports. It was a brand new bike. We had it for less than 2 weeks before something happened. They (360) charged us quite a lot to fix it and then it broke down less than a week later. We decided to take it to Monkey Wrench. We are so happy we didnt take it back where we purchased it. Good luck to all of you. Happy Biking!!

Ive been coming here for various repairs on my Honda Shadow and the people here have been honest and good with prices. Recently came here with a busted fuel pump (That was thankfully warrantied) and I decided to replace my side panel. Unfortunately, I wasnt expecting the price to be as high as it was. ($320) While it did help and I now have a compartment for tools, I would rather have had that money go towards a new seat if it was gonna be that much. I trust these guys, but couldve used a heads up. (Id rather my bike be running than look pretty) Aside from that little incident, I like this place as its been honest with me and have been given advice for certain issues. (Found out I didnt need to use premium for gas)

I had an 08 Kawasaki Vulcan Custom a while back (first bike) that I had to get the starter fixed and was recommended this place by my brother-in-law. They did great work, including searching for the best priced starter and all i had to do was buy it. I continued my business there and, as I was (or am) a newbie, I constantly asked questions and advice and Frank willingly spent hours searching and providing answers for everything. When I got my 07 Kawasaki Mean Streak, I took it in to get the exhaust worked on as the baffling makes it very quiet. I asked for a rush job constituting a lot of work and Frank got it back to me in time. He and Joe did a fantastic job on it and it sounds amazing.

My 1996 Road King blew its main cam bearing, which caused a ton of damage to the engine. Frank convinced me that the most cost effective repair was to use the Harley factory rebuild program. Monkey Wrench handled the entire process and all interaction with Harley. I contacted Frank after the initial break in to ask why the low RPM throttle control was ‘jumpy’ and why my MPG was around 30. They modified the carb and now the bike runs fantastic. I highly recommend Monkey Wrench to my friends who ride.My 1996 Road King blew its main cam berring

Frank corresponded with me via email to ensure that I had all the parts necessary to install my ape hangers. His replies to my questions were very prompt. When the time came to do the install, I dropped my bike off and in less than 24 hours I was back on the road with the apes. Frank and Joe did excellent work running the wires internally. The price for the work was very reasonable too. I recommend anyone in the DFW area to give them a shot at wrenching on your bike. You wont be disappointed.

Called twice about bringing my bike in for work. I dont have a trailer so they offered their service to come get it. First call they advised they would call the next day. They didnt. That next afternoon I called and they scheduled pick up for 930a this morning. No show, no call which left me hanging. Im glad they have so much business that they dont need me. I decided on another shop while on my way to find out why I had to work so hard to get MW to take my money.

Ive had occasion to use Monkey Wrench several times for motorcycles and scooters, and have always been pleased with this shop. I think most telling is that I live 45 miles away in Richardson, and choose to pass probably half a dozen dealership shops and who knows how many independant bike garages getting to MW. His turnaraound times have been great, and his prices fair. As they say, good work isnt cheap, and cheap work isnt good. Id highly recommend this shop.
