Recently, I bought my "dream" car - a Porsche 911 Twin-Turbo - from Texas Import Sales (TIS). Here is my opinion of the experience: Texas Import Sales specializes in EXOTIC luxury vehicles. I believe they source them at high-end auctions and/or off-lease programs. They really do have a wonderful selection of beautiful vehicles. When buying an exotic vehicle from a reseller not associated with the manufacturer I STRONGLY RECOMMEND that one pays for an independent vehicle pre-buy inspection from an expert in the particular vehicle you are buying. I did this, paying a specialist $300 for his 100+ point inspection which takes about 4-5 hours. During the inspection he found a few small things that needed attention - plus one BIGGER more serious issue - a leak from the Tiptronic transmission - which appeared to be just a bad oil-pan gasket. Discussing these issues with the salesman we came to agreement that Texas Import Sales would fix the leak. A few days later, I picked up the car on a Friday afternoon about 3pm. Being busy that weekend I only managed to drive the car about 20 miles. However, on the Sunday morning I noticed spots of oil on my garage floor, so I returned the car Monday morning feeling really pissed off about the whole affair. Now, for those unfamiliar with Tiptronic transmissions - they are HORRENDOUSLY EXPENSIVE to work on requiring expert transmission specialists - in fact, Porsche simply recommend replacing the entire unit at a cost of $15K plus! So, now a little finger pointing took place. WHO was financially responsible to fix the oil leak? The positions were a) TIS said they already fixed it b) the specialist said it must have occurred AFTER his inspection and c) Im pissed because I had already signed the "BOUGHT AS SEEN - NO WARRANTY" paperwork. Obviously, no one wanted to cough-up $15K plus for a new unit! My opinion (being a professional engineer) is that the specialist actually missed the "second" leak. I actually went under the car with him and one could clearly see lots of oil around the oil pan gasket - but some of this oil must have come from a higher up seal and trickled down to the oil pan. So, several days of tense discussions took place between the 3 parties. In the meantime I had found a local specialist in Tiptronic transmissions - luckily located here in Dallas. "FixEuro" if anyone is interested. They actually work on all automatic transmissions including exotics. They have the capability to full rebuild then - if required. Eventually, the General Manager of TIS, "Adam" made the decision to "keep the customer happy" and he agreed to "fully take care" of the repair. For this reason - I would give Texas Import sales a "5-Star" rating. I met Adam only once during the whole affair and he is really a really nice, friendly "stand-up" guy. He gave me his personal mobile number and we variously communicated via text & phone throughout the repair process and he was very responsive. This was very comforting. I hope this helps in your decision to buy a vehicle from Texas Import Sales.

BUYER BEWARE!!! I dont even begin to know where to start. I purchased a 2008 BMW 750 Li for Texas Import Sales. I worked with Dominick (The sales manager) who ensured me that the car was in great shape and ran well. I purchased the vehicle when it was delivered there were MULTIPLE deficiencies. 1) A wheel was bent 2) There stereo system did not work 3) The hydraulic struts that hold open the hood were broke 4) It was 1,600 miles overdue for an oil change 5) The electronic locking system was broke 6) Missing one of the keys I was told by Dominick to take the car to my local BMW dealership to have things repaired. When he got the bill, he said that he was only going to pay $1,200 of the bill (less than a third of the total bill). When I told him that was unacceptable, he continuously called me a moron, and he said I could ship the car back. (after I already paid to have it shipped to my house). I will happily provide any of the paperwork from BMW in its original PDF form if anyone would like to see what Texas Import Sales Considers "Excellent condition, inside and out." Stay away if you know whats best... I was deploying in the days after I purchased the car, and Dominick kept delaying calling the dealership hoping I would eventually leave him alone. My out of pocket expenses after buying the "excellent" car: $2,649.87 (Ill happily show anyone the receipts) If he will rip off a solider as he is deploying, God knows what they will do to you. UPDATE 11/9/2015 (In response to the below retort) Texas Import SALES.. This is the buyer.. you offered to pay $1200 on a vehicle that needed $3700 worth of work... Congratulations,, that still makes you $2500 dollars short for a car that was described as perfect. You also offered to buy the vehicle back for me after I had it shipped to me for $1500 and I had to pay to have it shipped back to you which was another thousand on top of the 2600 that I paid for the repairs. And in regards to where I get my car fixed, Dominick told me to take it to the BMW dealership and then when he got the bill, He told me to take it somewhere else. I have always gotten my vehicles serviced through BMW, Just because you sold me a car with repair issues, does not obligate me to begin getting my car fixed at non-authorized repair shop. I am not happy with the purchase do not put words in my mouth. I have filed a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau and eBay. Youre $1200 payment barely put a dent in the Bill repair bill, And all it tells me is that you know that you responsible for a vehicle that was not as described, or you would not have paid anything. I will happily edit my review if you fix the vehicle to as described in its listing. I will be litigating You can buy that car back if you pay for my shipping costs to and from plus the money that I spent at BMW.

These guys are legit fraudsters. They have defrauded their floorplanner/lender by selling us cars and not paying their lender (Nextgear Capital) as well as pocketed the vehicle trade-ins without paying those lenders which is why some of you are still receiving payment notices. I have received a certified letter stating they are in "disagreement" with their lender and that Nextgear has my title and was given the contact info for Nextgears representation. After contacting Nextgear I was sent an affidavit to fill out for the suit that they are bringing against them and have contacted my financier who is also apparently aware of the legal issues being brought against Texas Import Sales. I will be contacting the DA and getting an attorney to file criminal charges. I would suggest anyone else caught up in this to do the same. This place is apparently owned by Shafaamri Inc which was established by Ahmed Shafaamri AKA Adam Shafaamri whom I hope gets thrown in jail. Others that are apparently intimately involved with the operations are Ahmed Elgalad and Mary Villanueva-Shafaamri and Im wondering if Ahmed Shafaamri is actually a psuedonym comprised of the names of these individuals. UPDATE: These guys have definitely defrauded everyone who is still without a title or is having to make payments on trade-ins. Just visited their location and the placed is entirely cleared out and non existent. The inventory has been cleared out and the building is up for lease. Its like they never existed. Happened to talk with a former employee their who was also screwed over by their overnight disappearance and he claimed that they were making payments on the trade ins to make it look like they had paid them off and when things got tight they stopped making payments leaving the contracted party with the bill. This is going to be a large scale fraud case and everyone should seek counsel.
