VERY disappointed in the service received today. We purchased my engagement ring and my husbands diamond wedding band from here. The service up until today has been decent. My wedding bands are from Kay Jewelers because I couldnt find anything I liked at Robbins...not a problem. Before our wedding, I wanted to have all 3 of my rings soldered to prevent gold scratching. Since Kays offered a discounted first time sizing I chose to have the bands sized there. Since Robbins is who would be doing the solder, I dropped by to ask a "trained professional" what size I should have the bands sized to, since the thicker the band the tighter it would fit. He didnt size me. He put my engagement on the mandrel and told me what to size my bands DOWN to. I asked, are you sure since it will be a tighter fit. He said yes and off I went to Kays. They came back sized correctly, and I gave to Robbins to have soldered and engraved. We also gave my husbands band to be engraved. The rings came back and we picked them up. Mine fit really snug however I didnt have time to redo, and I also thought maybe it was just due to maybe stress in my body and not feeling well. My husbands grandmother passed away that week before our wedding...we came after the funeral to pick up our rings. Since then my ring has continued to be extremely tight, I use an old jeweler trick of Windex to get it off. I go into Robbins today to explain they shouldnt have been sized to this size, and I wish the associate didnt tell me to do this size. I was hoping they would understand and maybe offer a discount to resize my bands to the correct size. Instead I got a no, we havent seen you since December. Um what? I said to the associate the rings were all in to be soldered and engraved the week of our wedding. He said "well Im not saying youre lying but its not in the system". So you cant find the work you did?? Check your cameras, Ill tell you the day and time we picked up the rings. I can even tell you what I was wearing since like I said, we just came from my husbands grandmas funeral. I then all to speak to the manager. He flat out said he will charge me for the resizing of my bands. He showed no compassion. He said he was trying to help me. How is telling me the exact thing your associate did helping me? He didnt even apologize for not being able to find proof of the soldering and engraving. The associate who sold us everything was the one who sent it out AND was there when we picked up. Maybe ask him. This has been horrible customer service. I truly feel like you just took the sale and are horrible with the follow up service. The associate today also suggested he can put it on the mandrel and stretch it... a good jeweler would know thats horrible for gold with stones, that can lead to lost stones. Its very sad that we spent just under $10,000 on 2 rings...and you cant take a $50 "hit" to help a customer resize rings that shouldnt have been sized down to begin with. Come anniversary, birthday, milestones... we will be shopping elsewhere. Very very sad.. the only good thing about this place was our original salesman, Andrew.

I went into this place fairly guarded and ready to move on at a moments notice if necessary. I have seen some bad reviews, most specifically relating to poor customer service and high pressure sales techniques. I have found this to be common with any high-end sales environment so I still like to make my own evaluation. I shopped around at more than a few places, from small jewelers, mall department stores (yuck), to Robbins Brothers and the like. A couple of things that I found noteworthy and possibly helpful to future buyers: -> The engagement selection is vast and like no other. You have some of the top designer brands (Such as Tacori) and many other great collections to choose from. ->The diamonds are clearly hand selected with outward beauty and brilliance as a high priority. The choices were so difficult because of the consistent quality. I did view some of the less expensive options, sacrificing color, clarity, and cut for a bigger carat size but in the end I was able to find a perfectly well rounded stone to suit my needs and blow my fiancées mind. I think its safe to say that they have something to fit everyones needs and budget. -> My customer service experience was superb. I found most of the staff to be courteous and helpful. Ask for Ryan M. if you really want a wow experience though. I did not land him at first, but after my very detailed and lengthy questions, he was brought over to me to save the day. Remember, I was skeptical at first. None of the other places I shopped even came close to this full service experience. I spent hours with Ryan across different days before making my purchase. There was no pressure and he literally did everything but physically hold my hand through the process. And Im sure if I asked nicely enough he would have done that too! My fiancée is still raving about her ring and how everyone finds it to be stunning. Ryan listened to what I wanted and he delivered. The process was not short, but its a purchase of a lifetime, and Im glad I was able to take my time and that I was fortunate enough to have such an expert by my side. Dont get me wrong though, if you know exactly what your budget is and what you want, he will find it for you and youll be on your way in no time. Whatever your needs are, he will cater to them. They earned a lifetime customer for all of my other jewelry gifting needs.

GENTLEMAN TAKE NOTICE: At first I thought it would be more "cost effective" to go online or to some small jeweler with low overhead. I soon realize that the potential to MAYBE save few dollars was not worth my future wife not having a place where she was comfortable going for service and place she would be proud to tell her friends about. Women love a good experience and this location consistently delivers. I went to the Dallas location after trips to several DFW jewelry stores and online websites while searching for the an engagement ring. I went to compare what they offer at certain prices compared to online dealers (James Allen, Blue Nile, etc.). After looking at every option including, retailer, wholesaler, and online, I can honestly say that what Robbins Brother offers is the best package in terms, of value, selection, service and atmosphere. On multiple trips there I met with 2 or 3 sale reps (all of which were knowledgeable) and ended up dealing with Nino when it came time to purchase. He was attentive to all my needs and went the extra mile to please me and please my fiance, who did not shop with me. I am not easily pleased since am also a salesman in my line of work so this is really saying a lot. I was treated very well throughout the process, even before they knew what I was willing to spend. This is a true sign of professionalism. He was also knowledgable about the product and even though I had done hours of homework, I quickly realized he knew things that you cant read about on the internet. This made me more confident in the decisions we made. I disagree with the negative reviews that say this store is "pushy" and "high pressure", they simply make an effort to earn your business by encouraging you to make a purchase once they have guided you through the selection process. Nothing uncomfortable or dishonest about it. Since purchasing the ring Ive have had zero buyers remorse and thank Nino for encouraging me to make a purchase that I may have dragged my feet about due to human nature. My fiance loves what I gave her and enjoys the upscale atmosphere and treatment she receives when she visits the store. Save your time, I did countless hours of shopping around and this is the place to go.
