I called Batky Jewelers in advance to have my wedding ring appraised since I was moving out of the country and wanted to update my insurance policy. Mr. Batky was very unfriendly on the phone, but asked me to come in and he would do the appraisal on the spot. When I arrived, there were four other customers in his very small store. He asked if I was the "appraisal lady" and asked to see my rings immediately. He snatched them out of my hands, looked at them for a couple of seconds without a microscope and threw his hand back toward me and yelled, "These are not diamonds, and I do NOT deal with things like these!" He made and enormous scene. One customer even gasped outloud. Not only did my family jeweler, who is not in Dallas, customize my rings, but I have had several appraisals done over the last few years for insurance purposes. I have never encountered someone so rude for no reason. Later that afternoon, I found an appraiser who came in on his day off to look at my rings. He assured me my rings were real in and perfect condition. I told him what had happened and he said he has known Mr. Batky for 25 years and he is one of the rudest and most untrustworthy men he has ever known in the jewelry business. I would recommend taking your business elsewhere if you are in the market for diamonds/jewelry/appraisals etc.... After my experience, I would not trust someone like that for important and expensive purchases. I hope this helps prevent a terrible situation for someone else in the future.

Mr. Batky is attentive, professional, and friendly. I decided to go to his shop to get my fiances engagement ring appraised because I read good reviews about him on Google. He was the only jeweler in the area that could appraise my ring on a Thursday (the only day I had time to get an appraisal.) He was very accomodating. The appraisal was ready for pickup promptly the next day. I am very pleased with the outcome of the appraisal and service I received from him. I would recommend Batky Jewelers to anyone.

Great Service! I had a wonderful experience at Batky Jewelers. I took in a set of sterling silver earrings that had broken (extremely tiny chains that had managed to unhook, and really didn`t think they could be saved) and asked if they would be able to fix them. The lady took them to the back, and about 10 minutes later came to the front with them fixed! The customer service at Batky Jewelers is wonderful, and they had some pretty amazing pieces as well! Would definitely recommend.
