The quality and appeal of Downtown Pawz is definitely Excellent. The warning is the training they suggest with Larry Preston "Dog Whisperer." Adrian suggested Larry and was sure to note he was not a part of Downtown Pawz but he does do group training with him and partners with him on various levels. So, IF it is suggested to use Larry Preston "Dog Centric" please do so with caution. After our first training session he was asked to leave our property by the concierge and they threatened to call 911 on him due to his unprofessional behavior. We then had to start dropping our dog off at Downtown Pawz for Larry to pick up/drop off there. This was more than a little inconvenient but wed already paid $400 for this training. After about a week, Larry told me I needed to start paying Downtown Pawz since I wasnt picking up the dog until after work (which wouldnt have been a problem if hed been able to drop my dog off at my house per the original agreement). I finally called and asked to end the arrangement and request a prorated amount back on the training fees. The training ended but I never received any money back. Be prepared as 5 days of training cost me $400 and a dog that could walk on a leash.... WooHoo!

This shop exactly what we have been waiting for Downtown (we have no car, the trip to Petsmart can be a little more than we like to make). We have found that it is not only extremely well priced given its convenient location, but also that the owner Adrian is incredibly knowledgeable, and much more attentive than other pet shop pros I have come across. My dog has a sensitive stomach, and Adrian shared samples to help me find the food that Tripp likes best as well as made an incredible recommendation for natural bones, which our pup is just crazy for. Thank you Adrian for opening the doors of Downtown Pawz, I look forward to veterinary care and grooming in the future if they are avenues you can make work. I know there is a demand for it. Kudos to you on the level of customer service you provide, this will certainly make your business a success!

The the cut was absolutely awful!!!! I could have done that.....it was uneven, blotchy around the legs and his tail was cut weird....I will not be back or refer anyone there to cut their baby......mine even with a scarf looks a mess....sorry I wanted to give them a great review because of the kind staff but unfortunately the groomer does NOT know how to groom a Shihtzu. And I was charged the price of a high qualified groomer of which the groomer is not, for a Shihtzu anyway. If I knew how to post a pic, I would . Its totally embarrassing for me and the poor dog. His hair is close to a chihuahua now. Wont have to groom or cut him for atleast 2 months. guess Ill have to drive back out to my old groomer in Plano that knows how to Fluff and cut a Shihtzu.

Not a bad place, and theyre certainly nice, but weve had a couple issues here. We once made an appointment here for dog grooming, but upon arrival they said it would be half an hour before the groomer could see us and that I should come back later. What exactly do appointments mean again? Then, half an hour later, the dog groomer said they cant groom our dog because "it moves too much" - have you ever met a dog that DOESNT move, especially for grooming? We also bought a walk from their walking service and had them walk our dog one time we couldnt, but when we came back in the afternoon and took him out he peed for forever, so Im not sure if he ever actually got walked....

Sorry this took so long but last week I brought my dog in for a complete groom....now I want to say they were so kind and friendly and I believe they took good care of Max.....but the cut was absolutely awful!!!! Prices for baths are very reasonable and the staff is super knowledgeable and friendly. My dog will literally pull me into the store when we are walking by to stop in. They have a selection of high quality dog foods and treats that are made in the USA. Overall great place!

I decided to try this place for a second time yesterday and I can say I am highly impressed!! My dog went in for a bath and a trim and they did an amazing job. The staff was very friendly. I will definitely be bringing my dog back again.
