*Edited my review due to the pretty rude comment left by the business owner (which appears to have been deleted). I thought I had made it clear that I had already returned to West Africa by the time my computer acted up - its not easy with our lack of internet and phone service to call the US to report a problem that cant be fixed remotely anyway. Also, contrary to owners response, I thought I had made it clear that my computer hasnt HAD any viruses since he fixed it - at least not according to the virus software that he recommended. A helpful hint for the owner as well - Google reviews can be edited. If his response was nicer and offered a solution, I would have definitely upgraded my review, not downgraded it. Thats your incentive - and this WAS me reaching out to the business.* I used The Computer Repair Connection to repair my Lenovo laptop recently - we live in West Africa and it had been giving me problems for awhile (blue screen of death, telling me there were no boot drives when I restarted, etc). I decided on the The Computer Repair Connection because of the great reviews (both on Google and Yelp). Getting in touch and dropping off my computer were pretty simple - Juan then had it ready the next day so that was great. Turns out my computer had a lot of viruses that corrupted the registries (I have no idea how - I dont click on things I dont know, nor do I click on click-baitey things on Facebook). Juan recommended Kaspersky virus protection for the future. I thought Juan was a really nice guy and he definitely tried to be helpful. I picked up my computer, but didnt start it up for a couple days (I was on vacation) - I started it up only the day before we were heading back to West Africa. Unfortunately, the first start-up, I got the "missing boot drives" error again. Juan had done a full system wipe/restore/data backup for me, so I figured it was just a fluke. I hoped it was. I restarted and it worked just fine. The first thing I did was download Kaspersky virus protection. The computer continued to work fine for about 2 weeks - and then started doing the same crap again. I now get the blue screen (same errors) and the failed boot drive pretty regularly. Thats kind of disappointing since Ive been using the recommended virus scan (which has never found any viruses or corruptions) and Im back in West Africa where I cant take it back in for Juan to look at again. The "fix" didnt even hold up a month. I dont use suspicious software (I dont do torrents, or download things other than for work-related purposes). I spent almost $100 to get it "fixed" and it works about the same as it did before - which is to say its barely functional. Im coming home to Austin again in September so I will have to figure out if I take it back here or if I try a new place. Im kind of bummed about it because I really did like Juan - so Im a bit sad to give him not a great review.

I had a great experience with The Computer Repair Connection. I had frequented a Mac repair shop across town where I experienced rudeness, condescension, plus slow and expensive work. I vowed never to go back to that other place, and was lucky to find Computer Repair Connection. Juan was exactly the opposite of the owner of the other repair place -- extremely professional, polite and knowledgable and wants to help in a very timely manner. The customer service is top notch! I also love that the company is named exactly what it does; the marketing is excellent as it comes up first in my web search. Juan was able to help me out in a pinch with my broken laptop AND in addition to getting it back in working order, sold me a perfect refurbished desktop computer which I had been searching for, in great condition, for far less than what Id seen elsewhere. All around, an excellent experience - thank you! Highly recommended!

Juan was great. I called and got no answer at first but did not leave a message. He called me back! My laptops hard drive crashed and I needed to see if I could pull my data from it. Unfortunately I could not. All of my files were corrupted. He replaced my hard drive and cleaned my laptops fan out. I dropped my computer off at 3:30pm on Monday and was able to pick it up first thing in the morning. He was willing to stay open after 6:00pm for me to pick it up same day but I did not want to drive back downtown. I would recommend him if you are needing something done quickly! He politely gave me references to a couple other places that could possibly get my data back using methods (but for a hefty fee of more than $800). Data recovery aint cheap! But his prices were very reasonable. I paid less than $200 for the whole thing.

I got my computer repaired here and all I can say is they are great! I used the speedy check in not really knowing what to expect, but once I arrived I simply told them I had completed the speedy check in, they asked my name, verified my phone number and issues and just like that I was done. Took one minute! They called me about 3 hours later with my quote. I approved as the price was great,(hard drive replaced and data transferred for less than $200) and it was ready for me an hour later. Thats just great. They really do create a great computer repair experience. Im a Apple guy and this place took care of my Macbook just as well but faster than when I had to take it in for Apple care which has since then expired. I will only be dealing with these guys from now on.

Ive had problem computers in the past that ultimately drove me to problem computer technicians. CRC was a complete 180 from what Im used to in Austin computer repair. Walked right in, told him my problem, he assessed it, walked out, he called me about two hours later after further review, i picked it up at my leisure. No talking down to me because I dont know tech, no unnecessary watching him endlessly click on who knows what behind the counter, and no waiting days on end to figure out what was going on, no multiple people working on my case having to check with one another re: what one did in a previous session. Mature, sensible, no time wasting. Awesome experience.

Juan Morales and the team at The Computer Repair Connection came through for me. As a real estate professional I highly rely on my laptop to run my business. One day I was in a panic mode because my laptop dropped and wasnt functional. Just when I thought I lost everything I was able to get a fully functioning laptop, quick service and professionalism from the team. I was up and running in less than 24 hours and I couldnt thank you guys enough! I wont forget it and I will definitely refer out to anyone I know needing help thank you so much !

We had all of our Internet cards updated! We had to make a clone of our server. And increase the RAM in some of the computers in our office as well as upgrade one of our operating systems to Windows 7 professional. Our point of contact was a gentleman name Juan. He was a very honest decent and professional individual! He even came after hours to make sure the job that he had done went perfect. As a dentist, that is very valuable to me to deal with that level of professionalism. These guys are top notch and I highly recommend them. Thank you
