The Inkery offers a very unique and personalized experience like no other tattoo studio out there. Scott Spencer is an amazing artist. He is very interested in getting to know exactly what you are looking for so that he can personally design a true piece of art for you. He is extremely humble, personable, professional and experienced. He not only believes in what he does, but wants to make sure that you walk away completely happy and satisfied. When I moved to Austin I was in the market for a new artist. Immediately when I met Scott I realized I had found him. When I took my initial idea to him he asked me questions to make sure he understood why I had decided on this particular design. My answers helped him add details as needed to match the feeling beneath the tattoo itself. Speaking of detail, that is the number one thing people always comment about when they see my tattoos. Scott has an amazing attention to detail and his art reflects that. I always carry his business cards with me because I get so many questions when people see my tattoos. Everyone wants to know who the artist is and where they can go to get the same quality work. The Inkery itself is a really wonderful space. You almost feel as if you are walking into a spa rather than a tattoo studio. It is very quiet, comfortable and personal. Everyone at The Inkery tries to make you as comfortable as possible. There are always options available to listen to any kind of music, watch anything on Netflix, or just talk with him. He is also very in tune with when you may need a break and is open to listening to changes you need to make along the way. If you are looking for a person who is interested in creating a personalized work of art for you, and a place that is a professional, comfortable, high end studio then The Inkery is definitely the place for you!

If I could choose "Better than Excellent!" for the quality, I would have! I met Scott around December 2011/January 2012 for my first piece by him (a cover-up of some earlier work I had that I was very disappointed in). I had searched for months to find someone to do some artwork for me, but I was so selective I wasnt sure I would be able to find an artist whose work I truly admired enough to wear, that I also wouldnt have to spend a fortune completing. He turned the dismal, bland, amateur "tattoo" I had on my arm into a gorgeous photo-realistic half-sleeve that I will continue to enjoy...well, forever! Since then, Ive had almost 40 hours of work done by him, at the Inkery, and I couldnt possibly be happier or more impressed with the results. I can hardly go out in public with my tattoos uncovered without multiple people stopping me to compliment and inquire about his work (even people who say, "I dont typically like tattoos...but this one..!"). Im proud to wear them and Ill be adding to my collection as often as I can. The Inkery is a wonderful studio that I always feel right at home in every time I walk in the door. Scott and his lovely wife Bee are friendly and accommodating, and I recommend them with enthusiasm. His dedication and talent are unmatched - please go see for yourself!

Scott is an incredibly talented artist, and whats better is he is very humble and down-to-earth (no rockstar attitude here!). His work speaks for itself with his outstanding realism. He is well-versed in his field and understands how to make the tattoo work with the canvas of your body. The studio is very clean and modern, and very relaxing - even his machines are state-of-the-art and quieter than your average tattoo gun! His prices are very reasonable and the experience is one-of-a-kind. I urge anyone in the area whos interested in being tattooed go have a consult with him, and see for yourself!

I began seriously looking for a tattoo artist when I was 35. I was extremely picky and it took me 8 months on personal interviews, phone conversations and leafing through portfolios before I decided on Scott. Matter of fact, I visited him at the shop he worked at to explain my tattoo and get a feel for him face to face. After the meeting I was forever sold. Scott has since completed a half sleeve and chest piece for me. I would be happy to entertain any questions you may have about his service, so feel free to contact me. Chris

The most relaxing tattoo studio Ive ever visited. A koi pond would not feel out of place. Truly the best tattoo experiences Ive ever had. Scotts work is incredible and speaks for itself. Hes got a very relaxed, friendly manner while he is working. I have spent probably close to twenty hours sitting with him and it feels more like hanging out with a buddy than anything. A buddy jabbing you with a needle gun but hey! I couldnt be happier with the tattoos I have from Scott.

Saw a friends striking new skull and headpiece tattoo and I had to know who the artist was. A few months later and I had my own beautiful piece from Scott at the Inkery. The studio is has a modern spa feel and when paired with Scotts personality and way of working equal a relaxing tattoo experience. My husband, David Poe, started working at the Inkery as a tattoo artist, and my next great Inkery tattoo is in progress with many more to come.

Scott is a fantastic artist! Hes also very honest and will tell you what will/wont work, and will offer plenty of his own insight to make your tattoo the BEST it can be. I cant thank him enough for his amazing work on my memorial tattoo for my pup. <3 Ill be coming back to him over and over and over!
