In January we purchased a Fisher&Paykel refrigerator. The experience was good and we have been pleased with the purchase. Six months later it was time to replace the filter. (Info: you may purchase a replacement filter through Fisher&Paykel and pay for the filter and shipping and save about $20, or purchase through Depew and spend $20 more. I bought the filter on 7/18 and it arrived on 7/20). I then discovered that the mounting bracket was positioned in a location to the side of the refrigerator to make it more convenient, but it was so far back that it was at the limit of my arm length. I, also, discovered that the filter is very securely attached to the filter head. In the process of removing the filter from the filter head the bracket separated from the wall resulting in two holes in my wall and the putty on the bracket pulled paint and sheetrock from my wall. I believe that if the bracket had been mounted in a differnt location that would have been more easily reached by myself; then, the wall would not have experienced any damage. I called Depew and spoke with a nice gentlement who passed me off to Mike. I later learned that Mike is the owner. I learned quickly that Mike likes to speak over his customers. He will ask the same question four or five times, and, of course, gets the same answer. Mike apparently doesnt really want to hear what the customer has to say, or he would ask once and fully listen once and wouldnt want to debate the facts. He did tell me that installation is not warranty work and I can understand that, but wouldnt one think that if something that the installer did has negative repercussions; then, for the sake of good customer service they would want to address it. Mike finally said he would send someone out, and handed me off to someone else. I was so frustrated after trying to speak with Mike that I elected to live with the issue, repair it myself, and write a negative critique of my experience with Mike. He might be a good owner, because Depew has been in business so long, but he is lousey at customer service.

Do not call this company for service!!! I had issues with a dryer not heating. I figured it must be the heating element. I made the mistake to call these guys. A service men came to the house, he was nice, and kind, no issues there. He did not look at the dryer, as it was in narrow place so he could not get to it alone. He said it must be the heating element, without touching the dryer, and he has to come back with a colleague, and he will order a new heating element. This was less than 3 minutes in "labor". He said hes not charging for service as he did not do anything. I got a call next morning from another guy, with a quote for service and parts for $430 and change. A new heating element cost between $18 and $70 online, while a new, similar model dryer starts at $600, so figure. And when I cancelled the order I was "kindly" asked to pay $89 for the "service". I agree, that when you call somebody to your house for service, you owe them a service fee! But then be reasonable, and have another fee to charge for your time, when you dont do anything. I guess this is a really nice business model; you dont have to do anything, just go to somebodys house and collect a "service" fee. Anyway, you got the point, dont call them!

Ive read a lot of the reviews on here and to tell the truth, I was going to give a really bad review if Depew did not come through on time with their estimate of a delivery of an air conditioner in the midst of summer. However, the A/C arrived on the last day of the estimated time and everything worked out. To be fair I have to give them all the stars. I have done quite a bit of business with them. Like any small operation that has been in business a long time, they can be cantankerous, and slightly overpriced if you are going to be shopping big box stores and amazon. But they are a lot easier to deal with than either of those if you have a problem, especially on large items, and the items they have fixed for me, have stayed fixed.

We have done several transactions with them. We had a discrepancy with 1 and was wanting to clear it up. After 2 weeks, I finally got to speak to "Mr Depew" himself and ooohh boy was it interesting. His employee thought he put me on hold, but I heard the entire conversation and of course I had to interrupt. He then cursed me out and hung up in my ear. A simple yes or no would have solved the issue, but instead he spoke to me like I was a servant. How dear he. This is the last time we will EVER do business with them and I will take my business somewhere where people speak and not bark. The moment i speak to the "owner" I had an issue. Hes not a good representation of his own brand.

Excellent! If you are looking for a lot of attention and pushy sales people then this is not the place to shop. It is not a big box store. It is a great neighborhood appliance store with top of the line appliances. I like that the store repairs everything they sell. The delivery people are excellent, courteous and pay great attention to detail. I bought a new gas range and stackable whirlpool duet clothes washer/dryer from Depew. I would highly recommend Depew to anyone needing quality appliances without the hassle. They will match any price, so they charge the same as any other store. Their repair prices are less than most stores. They are very knowledgeable on their products.

My husband and I have been customers of Depew Appliance for about 30 years. We have been extremely pleased with the owners, sales people, and especially with service and repair. Three days before Thanksgiving last year, my stove was in need of repair. A serviceman came to my rescue before the holiday! A few weeks ago, we decided to purchase a new refrigerator. I worked with the sales office and Mr. Depew over the phone. In coordination with their expertise, I purchased my refrigerator. I never left my home!! It was delivered from their warehouse. I love this company! The personal attention makes the difference! My husband and I rate them 5 star in all areas.

PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. The owner Mike Depew is insane (quite literally) he has major anger issues. They flooded my kitchen from a refrigerator repair and we were asking them to accommodate our schedule to come survey the damage. The owner completely lost it. He lost control screaming at my husband said he didnt care about us, about the problem and nobody dictates to him when they will come to our house. He said he didnt care if we were home or not. He was completely out of control. He is racist against hispanics and should not be in business. From my conversation with the other person who works there it seems they are afraid of him.
