Carvana was almost great but ended up falling short of expectations. Im still giving 3 stars because the online experience and the local pickup options were mostly seemless and considerably better than a tradional dealer. The vehicle was priced competitively. The customer service people that answered the toll free number were courteous and professional. I was pretty excited to pick up the vehicle and see the "vending machine" retrieve it. The rep on site was friendly and professional. Unfortunately the first thing we noticed was how the interior was covered in dirt and fur. There is no excuse for not cleaning the vehicle. The cloth literally had two tones due to the amount of dirt on it. The rep on site was horrified when we pointed it out and promised to vacuum it (and even give us a $75 credit for detailing). There were also several noticeable scratches to the paint and the floor mats were missing. They promised to order some after market mats if we accepted it. We decided to reject it despite there willingness to clean things up and buy mats for it. We just didnt feel great about spending that much money on a vehicle that didnt appear to be well kept. The business model and the company have traction. The overall experience was still better than any Ive had with local dealers. I would consider Carvana or one of its online competitors again. Because you have to get a loan (unless you are paying cash) ahead, I am in no rush to get another vehicle through them. Why finalize a loan and add a vehicle to your insurance just to see that it looks like somebody left windows down in a dust storm?

I just picked up my new car a week ago, and was quite pleased with the process! As a first time car buyer, I dont have much to compare to, but I thought the process was fairly smooth. The only few hitches was that I had to fill out and sign the contracts twice, as they didnt save the first time, and there was a brief delay on pick up as a flaw was discovered the night before I was supposed to pick up the car. However, they fixed it and I was able to get it early the next week. The best part of the process was definitely the customer service, as since I was a first time buyer I had lots of questions and everyone I spoke to was super helpful and friendly, and walked me through a lot of the steps. They also work a lot of hours so you can contact them earlyish in the morning and in the evening, which I really appreciate. As well, they were proactive about contacting me as well, letting me know when some paperwork went through and checking in towards the end of the 7 day return period. Finally, I got a fair price for the car I wanted, and had a fun experience at the vending machine pick up place, instead of having it delivered! The 7 day return policy is nice, as you can essentially have a 7 day test drive. One final detail is when I got the car the gas tank was full, which was a nice touch. Overall good experience and would buy again in the future!

Im not a fan of the car buying "experience." Since Carvana had the car I was looking for, I decided to give them a shot. Overall, it was a very easy process. For most buyers, everything can be done online. However, my trade was worth more than the car I was purchasing, and this seemed to cause some problems with the Carvana software. After a couple calls to customer service, everything was fixed, and a check for the overage was waiting for me when I picked up the car. When I picked up the car, it was ready for me on-time. Within 15 minutes of walking into the Austin location, we were ready to start our test drive. While on the test drive, a Carvana rep checked out my trade. Much to my surprise, there was no haggling over the price of my trade, they simply gave me exactly what I was quoted on the website (which happened to be over $1000 more than anyone else had offered). From the time we arrived at the location to the time we completed all paperwork was less than 45 minutes...good luck doing that at a typical dealership. Based on this experience, Ill definitely look to Carvana for any future used car purchases.

I bought my car on their website in less than 15 mins. Their financing was actually the cheapest I could find shopping around and it didnt add any time to the car buying experience. Two days later, they brought the car to my house. They even let my daughter help do the controls to bring the car down. She loved it! The guy who dropped off my car was SO NICE. This is truly the best way to buy a car. Their website was smooth, detailed and easily workable. I went to a dealership to test drive a similar car and I was there for hours and didnt feel satisfied. Im going to be using carvana from now on simply for the ease of purchase and great customer service.

Everything about buying a car from Carvana is great! In about an hour I was able to find the make and model I wanted, check out the condition and the Car Fax, see my trade in value, and calculated monthly payments, then review and sign all the paperwork and pick a time for it to be delivered. The couple of times that I did have to talk to someone at Carvana; they were very helpful and a pure pleasure to talk to. My car was delivered right on time. So fast, so easy I will never buy a car any other way again.

Beautiful experience. Purchased car online and visited this location for pickup. Staff was courteous, professional and fast. Overall the car I bought (2016 Maxima) runs and looks like a beauty. Only issue was the cars oil change was 5,000 miles past due. I contacted Carvana customer service and they offered to reimburse me of for the cost of an oil change.
