I travel a lot and shop at Whole Foods all over the country, from Maine to Florida to Texas to Portland and almost all points in between. This Arlington store is one of the worst. The rotisserie chickens are almost always scrawny compared to the other stores and way overcooked. If Nashville, Louisville, Columbus Ohio can get it right and deliver a healthy robust chicken, why cant Arlington? The music is always so loud, so much so that I feel like it is damaging to the eardrums. I write notes on their bulletin board and complain whenever I can, but to no avail. Their manager is an arrogant and unresponsive in my opinion. And I dont like being stared at by a cop when Im shopping either. Shopping at WF is not a crime. And I dont like paying 8.99 for a pint of strawberries that was grown in a third world foreign country . They have farms in America where you can get your produce John Mackey. Half the staff are nice but there is one girl working the cash register that smells and has a bunch of dirt under her fingernails. Ick! And please, I dont want to hear comments from the cashiers or the flunkies bagging my groceries about the things that Im buying. If I want their uninformed ignorant opinions, then Ill ask.........And no, dont hold your breath because I am not going to ask. And please dont come up to me and ask me if I need help finding something and expect me to wait ten minutes for you to come back and tell me that you dont carry that item. Retail rule # XX: Dont ask the customer if she needs help unless you actually have the ability to help them. If you dont know your products well, just be seen and not heard and your customer will ask you if she wants to hear from you.

Holy god I dont understand how this particular location has so many good ratings because its trash. The only positive thing I can say about this location is the staff. All I have encountered have been very friendly, helpful, and some even remember me when I stroll in for my lunch salad(very limited options when you work in Arlington). Also, the store is clean, so kudos on meeting basic food industry standards. But thats as far as the compliments go for this poorly managed cluster-eff of a location. The store is CONSTANTLY out of stock on just about anything and everything. Ive never seen so many bare shelves in a store location not preparing for a natural disaster. Why are they constantly running out of to-go containers at the hot and cold food bars? Where on earth are the rotisserie chickens? Why are there only two, at the most three, cash registers open at at time when the store has at least 10? Why do I always have to scramble to find someone to help me at the seafood counter because they appear to be short-staffed? I guess that would explain the cash register situation. Why are the basic vitamins constantly out of stock? Why does the store continuously run out of food at the salad bar? Why doesnt the store offer similar soup options as every other gd Whole Foods in the state of Texas? How much egg salad can one store make before they switch it up to at least try and compete with Tom Thumb? Unfortunately, this is the only WF in Arlington, and the best place to find a clean salad bar on my lunch break (if they have food), so my options are slim. Fortunately, I only work in this city. Get it together guys and gals.

For the reviewer who complained about one of the employees rudely cutting her off, I have to say I am skeptical. I am a long time shopper at this location and have NEVER had a bad service experience, and I talk with many of the employees there a lot in every department. Whole foods seems picky about the kind of people they let work there and Desa is one of the nicest ones. Shes always smiling, laughing, friendly and happy. She works in produce I think and always asks if she can help or says hello to anyone who gets anywhere near her. I agree with your comments on how crowded that place is though, and maybe you were trying to check out in the express lane where its impossible to tell who is in line and whos just trying to get through to keep shopping. When it gets busy I cant tell myself if I am cutting someone off or if I am even in line! Little minds are undone by little things. Dont be so eager to assume the worst of people and defame a really nice person by name on the internet whom you obviously didnt take the time to talk to! This whole foods is full of good people eager to help their customers, I promise. The food quality is generally good but I agree the hot bar is sub par. It used to be way better a few years ago but I dont know what happened. Bakery and coffee bar quality also seems to fluctuate, but has been pretty good the last 6 months or so. Produce is my favorite department, always so clean and organized and everything looks fake it is so perfect. The quality of the meat and seafood is also incredible. Try the smoked salmon dip or order a brisket wrap. So tasty!

Have been going to the East Lamar store in Arlington for several years now and have had a couple of moments where the food wasnt as fresh as they say it is. Went there today and bought chicken, this is the second time that Ive had to return a poultry product because it was going bad, but this time I found a fly in the meat. Noticed a black spec in the thigh protion of the cut and as I looked at it a little closer it almost looks as if someone planted it there or this fly was trying to crawl its way into or between the muscle and the outer skin of the thigh. Either way, Im done with this store, I thought Whole Foods stood for wholesome and goodness but guess I was wrong. I dont care how well they make the store look or how friendly their staff is.... I just want whos ever in charge of quality control to do their job. Several years ago I had to return some fish for the same reason, spoiled. I dont have the time to police or sit in front of the store and warn people that the day to day operations in the store are not up to par, but I will go online and speak my mind in a situation like this. Ive never been pushed into a corner where Ive had to do this(online) but this one is really really bad in my book. This is not a 3rd world country, this means I shouldnt have to worry about buying meat with the stench of rot and THEN find flies in it, what next Whole Foods?.....maggots!

Smaller than normal for a Whole Foods which means they dont carry several of the products and brands I count on finding at a full size Whole Foods. LIttle to no vegan items in the bakery. There is only 1 vegan cookie and no vegan cupcakes whatsoever. Bakery employees speak little English and were unable to comprehend a request for vegan items. Spoke to store manager regarding seeking a regular deli item I have purchased at every other Whole Foods Markets, he not only didnt have a clue what it was, but made no effort to find out what it was, why they didnt carry it, or whether or not he could get it in for me. Asked various employees for the location of specific items and they either told me they didnt know what that item was or had no idea what aisle it might be located in. Overall store is way too small to carry the necessary items sought after by most health conscious vegans and the management and employees are not at all knowledgeable regarding their merchandise and why one might be seeking it health wise. A huge disappointment. Although I live only 3 miles from this location, I instead drive 25 miles to the Dallas area Whole Foods Markets where I know I will find a greater selection and more knowledgeable employees.
