Went here to get a larger harness for my growing dog; their obedience trainer, Mr. Street, decided to aggressively inform us that what we were doing was wrong (that we should be getting a collar). He talked down to us, and would not stop pushing us to change our purchase and went on a long unrelated rant about how we are incorrectly raising our dog (note, we never approached Mr. Street, nor asked him for advice). Our dog accidentally relieved herself prior to this happening, where upon I tried to find paper towels to clean her mess up. I had asked an employee who directed me to the other stand, and found it also to be empty. Before the employee was able to replace the paper towels so I could clean it up. My friend then went to the manager to report the situation, where upon Mr. Street (who was not within earshot until after speaking to the manager) tried to corner us upon leaving and remind us that we were doing things wrong. Mr. Street then complained about someone who had left a mess on the floor, which I attempted to inform him that I was currently seeking paper towels for, took it upon himself that since I "didnt ask him" that he would (rudely) do it for me. I was not seeking to have him do it for me, I just wanted to clean the mess up and be on our way. Mr. Street is very unprofessional and is unnecessarily aggressive, he does not seem to care about anyones opinion but his own. That might work for training police and military dogs, but does not go well for talking to paying customers.

Dont go to this store, at least when a dog trainer named street is around. No, Im not kidding his name tag said Street... I was walking to the grooming salon when street told me to get out of his area. I told him i needed to go to the salon and he said yeah well its locked in a menacing confrontational tone. I said that i didnt appreciate his attitude and he held his fists out and asked me what i was going to do about it. Then he proceeded to give me attitude about how he wasnt a stand down type of guy as if he was ready to fight over me trying to go to the grooming salon. I said i was just in here trying to shop. He said yeah well not in my area your not. No one came to resolve the situation, not even the manager even though several employees witnessed what happened. The time before this he made me and my dog leave the bird section. He is always giving people dirty looks and now my wife is afraid to go into the store because of him. My wife works at a retail store and talks to allot of people everyday and she brought this guy up to a few customers . They knew exactly who she was talking about and agree that he has a major attitude problem.

Prices at this store seem to be MUCH higher at this store than the other ones here in Murfreesboro (Petsmart, Animal City, Licker & Whine) as well as some other independently owned stores in Nashville and other surrounding areas and its for the exact same items. In my experience management doesnt care too much about customer satisfaction at least the one I spoke with. Also, the dog training classes are pretty much held in the store aisles. I have social anxiety plus ADD so I could hardly pay attention to what the trainer was saying while I was constantly trying to stay out of the way of customers. However I didnt try to get a refund or anything because when I paid I signed some consent saying I had some small amount of time to try and get he money back plus I didnt want to insult/argue with the big military dude who teaches the class. Lost that 110+ bucks but that wasnt an issue (I know Im weird about asking for refunds, credits, etc.) until the issue with management

There are a few bad reviews about the dog trainer Street, he is a no nonsense kind of person. If your dog goes to the bathroom on the floor and you dont clean it up, yeah hes going to be a little peeved! (if your dog is known for having accidents, bring supplies with you) He does not suggest using a harness, because it is harder to train your dog on a harness! He is trying to help! You dont need to ask him for advice, if he sees something going on that shouldnt be going on, hes going to stand up and tell you! That does not mean that you cant buy your harness (I have one for my dog so I can buckle her up in the car). After taking my dog to Street for a while, I can walk her off her leash! BECAUSE OF STREET! If you have a problem with his name, you should know that its his last name (Streeter)! He genuinely cares about you and your dog! So clean up after yourself and take his advise (weather you want it or not)!

I wish I could give negative stars to Petco of Murfreesboro. I have spent a lot of money there, but I will never go back. I was walking around the store with my well-behaved dog when the "dog trainer" Street proceeded to talk loudly to another customer about how badly MY dog was behaving (when, in fact, he was just sniffing around like any dog would do). He didnt even try to say it behind my back, and was just rude as can be. At least if he was going to have a problem with my dog, first of all, let it be TRUE, and second of all, talk to ME about it, and dont make stuff up to try to make yourself look smart. The trainer then turned to me and tried to tell me my dog was about to pee on a shelf. My dog has NEVER had an accident in a store before, so I didnt believe his lying self. This man is a first class, grade A jerk--dont ever take your dog here! Spend your money at PetSmart!

They have good deals, better prices, and carry my favorite dog treats, where Petsmart does not, but their grooming is terrible (jagged nails for $16?!!!) and if a guy named Street is there, I just turn around and leave! His attitude, and the attitude of most other employees, is elitist. Bossy, talking about customers "poorly behaved" pets right in front of them, just to try upselling his pet training. Only once has an employee asked me what I was looking for and actually answered my question, I wish I could recall her name :( Everyone else either ignores me, or just tries to bully me into expensive products that Im not interested in. I work in retail, and theres a difference in upselling and being a jerk!

The employees at this store do not care about customers or their pets. The dog trainer is aggressive towards both owners and pets. He cornered us and lectured us about his training techniques. His demeanor was very aggressive and his language was very condescending. When we spoke to a manager, they did not care at all. In addition, there was no paper towel available for cleaning up accidents in the store (our puppy has a UTI currently, so accidents happen). Overall, the whole experience was awful, and I would never feel my dog was safe in his hands for training. Id much rather pay more at PetSmart where the employees are kind, caring, respectful, and helpful.
