Their grooming service has officially crashed and burned! Today was the last time I shop Petsmart. Too bad Banfield has to be attached to them. The "groomers" never know how to use the computer/scheduling system; one employee even refused to update my dogs rabies information because it wasnt technically expired (for another week) even though the paperwork was in my hand simply because he didnt know how to use the computer! Today was the last straw though - I came in for a nail trim, and again just needed to update the info. The girl that approached the counter looked high as a kite (had that problem the last time, too, different employee). She met me with a deer in headlights look when I asked what they needed from Banfield to update the dogs info, and she started talking about muzzling my dog! Hes never been muzzled, and never will be, especially with up to date vaccination just because the employees cant handle medical records that are in the vet clinic 20 feet away! She asked another employee in the salon about muzzling, and I repeated that that would NOT be happening. While they exchanged blank glances I just turned and walked out. They used to have a great groomer on the Petsmart team, but I havent seen her in a couple months. I dont know their criteria for groomers, but it needs a rework. I didnt want a single person in that salon touching my baby!

Grooming Service: I took my tea cup Yorkie in yesterday for a shampoo and hair cut, I showed not 1 but 2 groomers what I wanted done. I get a call from one of the groomers about 2 hours after I had dropped off the dog saying my dog had a few mates and they may need to go a bit shorter..I said thats ok but do not cut him short...I get another call from another groomer letting me know he was ready to pick up, she was very very rude and said she had to use a 7 instead of a 5 on his back legs..I had no idea what that meant but I did say.. my dog better not have short hair...she hung up! I arrive to pick my dog up but was first asked to pay...I had never done that before getting my dog so I just went and paid...then they brought my dog out...OMG they shaved him, left his head long and his cut was longer on one side than the other (he is 2.6oz with hair)...The groomer that did him did not show her face the other that I had shown the pictures to said we called you and you okd it...WOW this is a group of disorganized groomers with zero communication skills..not one of them apologized to me. I did get a full refund after the manger heard my story and saw the pictures..he was very kind and apologized.. I would never recommend using this facility for dog grooming service stay as far away as possible...

Awful, awful experience. I took my puppy in for a grooming because her hair was getting in her face. They trimmed everything except her face. Then, I took her in a second time and she had mattes in her hair. Id never dealt with that before, so I didnt know what to expect. I took her in and she was YELPING in the parking lot and SHAKING uncontrollably. Once I got her in, they told me they were going to have to shave her completely bald...IN DECEMBER. I didnt know what the answer was, but I knew that wasnt it. I told them I wasnt going to let them do that and they said, "Well, you really need to make an appointment for after winter then because this could really hurt her and needs to be done." I was made to feel so guilty! I took her home thinking that I was going to do it myself, and ended up calling a local groomer who DID NOT have to shave her bald to get the mattes out. These people have NO idea what theyre doing.

Our 2 year old puppy was taken in for a trim and bath, for the first time at the Murfreesboro location. He is very good-looking Shihtzu with a teddy bear face and gorgeous eyes. Normally very fluffy and cute. However, after giving very specific instructions on how we wanted him trimmed, we returned to pick him up and they had literally cut his hair down to only a 1/4inch. He doesnt even look like our family pet. No one there could explain what happened and not even a real apology for the mistake. If you are planning to get your animal groomed I WOULD NOT TAKE THEM TO THIS PETSMART IN MURFREESBORO, TN! they are awful, rude, and very un-professional. We will definitely not ever return to PetSmart for anything to include shopping there. We should have never taken him from his normal groomer....

7/7/2016. Had an appt to have my dog the ferminator treatment. I should have known better when he cried and hid behind me not to stay. He likes everybody and Ive never seen him like this. Hes had a croniccear infection since we got him at 10 weeks old. Spent $$$ money for months getting it under control - explained and told them Do Not Touch his Ears. Do not wash his head at all. --- we go to pick him up and they stated he was too nervous with shaking and only washed him. Didnt dry him , no ferminator brushing and the girls smiles and says "but we cleaned his ears ". I was in disbelief and raised my voice enough that everyone stopped what they were doing. Got him home he didnt move for hours, wouldnt eat. Now its 15 hrs later and Im off to Vet with him. Dont take your animals here for grooming.

I took my dog there about 2.5 weeks ago and she was extremely nervous because my second dog did not go. The lady seemed nice and ensured she would take good care of her. The woman who took her back put her on the floor and made the leash into both a collar and leash and was tugging on it when my dog was restraining, causing her to slightly choke. About a week later I noticed a scab on her neck (Im assuming from her cut) at that point I decided that I just wasnt going to take her there anymore. I am writing this review 2.5 weeks later because I just found ANOTHER spot on her from when she was cut. I used to like petsmart but Im not giving them any of my money anymore

The dog grooming department is absolutely clueless about rabies! They said my dog was out of date but yet they are good for 3 years in the state of Tennessee. Even called the vet in front of them and yet still wasnt accepted for my dog to get groomed. My vet gave me recommendations to not use PetSmart because they dont have good people working for them. I will not be back, especially while I was waiting and seeing staff really talk to one another and animals. PetSmart should be embarrassed because the dog grooming salon is pathetic! And this is not sour grapes I saw it and heard it with my own two ears!

I did the monthly payment option last summer for my dog. I finished paying off the remaining amount this year in April and express that I no longer want the service. After four months my card was charged for a renewal. When I called the office they could not find any of my information, yet my card was still charged. I was instructed to contact their customer service office to get a refund and officially cancel my account. Save your mine and go to an actual vet office
