Recently bought a house and wanted to restore our beaten up kitchen cabinets to make them look like new. We went to The Home Depot to get some ideas when someone told us about the refacing program they offered and said about the free consultation. We scheduled an appointment, and a representative came out to look at our cabinets. The discussion went well even though it was a little short and we decide it would be a great fit for what we wanted to do. It took about a month to order the parts as expected and then the process began a week or so later. We found out our contractor was not a licensed contractor and just works under a licensed one. This is absurd considering we were spending over $ 10,000 for just refacing our small sized kitchen, and that did not even including replacing the countertops. Only one man did the entire project which was okay, but he consistently made relatively significant mistakes, complained about his job and his personal life. Then when he thought we were not in the room he sometimes even complained about us to his boss on the phone. Which was extremely uniprofessional. Not even a week after starting he thought he was finished to protection. The crown molding was cracked and not even nailed all the way into the cabinets, pieces were not all the way together, all the door handles were crooked, the slide out drawers was not all the way screwed in on most of them, and you could see large gaps in between the lament. This is just a few examples of errors made. We called one of his supervisors, and he came back out acting very confused why until we showed him everything. We had him redo one of the panels and while he was doing that he left it in our oven and turned it on thus catching fire. There was smoke throughout our entire house and melted the plastic on our brand new stove. When we asked him how he was going to fix our oven he told us "We" should be able to take care of it ourselves and then left immediately afterward. Very concerned we contacted his supervisor again only to be told they were booked until next week to get someone different to look at it. The new person that came out was the actual licensed contractor he was working under. We were thrilled because he told us almost half of what the other guy did was completely wrong and he would fix all of it in no time and take care of our stove. Come to find out that the man that works under him only does such a bad job because the licensed contractor does a horrible job too and ended him back another 2 or 3 times to fix his mistakes or other things he promised he would fix, but did not the first couple of visits. In the end, it still looked nowhere near the $ 10,000 asking price they quoted us as a "steal" and looked more like a $ 4,000 to $ 6,000 job. Please do not make the same mistake we did and go to a local company and please do research on them!!!

This home depot us so unprofessional. The managers are rude and obviously dont care if people spend their hard earned money at their store. We purchased a refrigerator about 3 days before Thanksgiving and were to have it delivered on December 17. We get a courtesy call to remind us about the dimensions which was fine. But I ask if we are still good for the 17th and they say "actually you wont get it until the 29th! What!! When were they going to tell us? I have a family of 5 and paid $2,000 for a refrigerator, I expect it to arrive on the agreed upon date. So my husband and I call the store back and speak to a manager to see what we can do, I need a fridge. Well he said the general manager is out and he has to check to see if he will approve a loaner. This was Wednesday night. No call back, nothing. We continually call on Thursday to see whats going on and we kept being brushed off. They take our name and number and say well call you back. Well finally some one calls back and says we dont have a loaner to give you and its not our problem? What??? It is your problem, you sold me the fridge that wasnt available. You had no problem taking my money.. And then the manager called my husband and liar that he didnt call. So basically, they cant do anything and Im out of a fridge. Do NOT go to this store! My husband has a home depot card, and he said he is paying it off and shutting it down. They list our business. This is upsetting because we shopped at home depot all the time.

I went to Home Depot back in April and was immediately greeted by a man in the plant department who helped me find everything I needed for my grandmothers garden. He even radiod someone to ask if the okra had been dropped off yet, and they said the truck had just pulled up and it would be about 10 min. Well, a few minutes later I saw a man carrying a tray of okra into the plant area and I asked if they were for me, and he said yes and apologized for taking so long. I was the one who chose to wait, so of course I didnt mind. Well, after I checked out (btw, they give military discount), a young man employee came up to me on the way to my car and gave me a huge tray of flowers to plant and some organic fertilizer for my veggies. He said it was for my inconvenience. I was so happy! Made my day, and made me a customer for life☺️

Im a loyal Home Depot customer (also a contractor) with the exception of this Home Depot I have routinely received bad customer service there which is unacceptable. it seems like every other Home Depot has gotten the memo and this one has not. Thanks to the west knoxville Home Depot just wasted almost an hour this morning thats my time that Ill never get back. Update: Ive gotten my pressure washer back after didnt work it only took four weeks. I was never once called to explain why there was a delay I had to call every single time I wanted an update this is frustrating because according to the local Dawalt store the parts were not on backorder it was a Home Depot backorder awesome. One half star and thats being generous

Horrible services! I called the store about an order that was placed in store two days ago which seems not go through (I paid it using credit card already!) I was put on hold for 10 minutes and twice was kicked back to the main menu. Some of the staff members are not trained to do their jobs! Their IT department sucks - it is so hard to use. One member was clearly afraid to use the system! The two stars are for some staff members who are capable and willing to help!

No one asked us if we needed anything even though we spent quite a bit of time standing in the same place looking at the tile. Then when we got to the checkout with our sample tiles which we picked out all by ourselves there was no one to check us out. Lastly I was unable to buy one of the tile samples that I wanted to buy because there was no code on the side of the tile like theyre usually is.
