Couldnt be any more disappointed. I shop at Menards frequently, in several states. (Im a construction superintendent). This morning, I went to pick up a steel post driver, and a cheap plastic mailbox. For starters, the aisle I needed to go down to get to the post driver was blocked by pallets...as were the second, third, fourth, and FIFTH aisles I tried to use. Thank heavens I didnt need any lumber or plywood, it was all completely inaccessible. Went to get a mailbox, and there were two people stocking that area. One asked what I was looking for...I said "the cheapest plastic regular size mailbox you have". He handed me a 24.99 metal mailbox, said "this is the least expensive one we carry". Stupid me, I thought the 9.99 PLASTIC mailbox I was grabbing was the cheapest one. Lastly, I went to the registers...well, register. There was one open, and no one anywhere near it. Someone with a clipboard was standing behind the counter where the rebate slips are, made eye contact with me a couple of times while I stood there waiting for someone to take my money. No one showed up, so I left. Terrible customer service, store hardly shoppable due to pallets and bunks of lumber blocking aisles, employees who either dont know their product, or were lying to get me to spend a few extra dollars. Just super disappointing all the way around.

I purchased a Yard Sport 4x4 for the upcoming hunting year. Menards loaded it on my trailer and I took it home. I drove it 1/2 mile and it died. I called Menards and they said no returns. I asked where to take it to get repaired and they did not have an answer. I called the factory and gave them the model and serial number. The 4x4 was already 20 months old. The factory said it would need a new carburetor , not cleaned, but new. Also there is not an approved repair facility within 100 miles. I asked Menards for a refund. They have denied me this. Menards told me to trailer it to Holiday Power Sports where it sits today. I know you get what you pay for but 1/2 a mile. Really. No one at corporate will return my phone calls, and all correspondence needs to be done through US Mail. Have you heard of email or fax? Hopefully this will get me a call?

I like Menards selection and layout, but NOT their customer service! Nearly all of the people working there this morning, ignored me when I was clearly trying to get help. I had a big cart full of stuff as well as one of those heavy duty carts for pulling the long crown molding that I selected AND a five year old. I couldnt find the oak boards, so went up to the desk area where you order lumber. The first group of men who were talking, glanced at me and went right back to talking with each other. The second person igorned me and then the last guy, who was writing something, glanced up and me and he too, went right back to writing! There were NO other customers there. Why else would I have been right there unless I needed help?! How rude! Customers are important and should be smiled at and helped! Man, that was frustrating.

If there was a "negative" or "zero" star option that would appropriate. I waited an hour, spoke with THREE different staff members asking about buying chain by the foot. No one knew who was supposed to measure & cut the chain, but they promised to find out who & send them over. Finally, another patron said they dont sell it by the foot. Ive had indifferent service at this particular store previously,but today they really out did themselves.

i like this store ok but its more then a coincidence everything i have bought from there is junk, four master garaged fans returned, shop van hose broke off returned, contractor propane heater worked twice and returned, left me waiting in the cold for propane so long i finally went back inside for my money back while an employe was leaning up against the wall smoking right by the propane. for me its time to say goodbye to this place for good.

Its a good place to start when looking into a project for your home or a rebuild. Most of the time they will have the items your need but expect one or two packages open due to rude people. If you need a quick snack or pizza for lunch they have it or small selection of can food. They do have pets stuff but manly Dogs and cats. The lines at checkout can be slow at times. This is a 90% chance they will have what you need.

I have shopped at Lowes and Home Depot and it always works out that Menards has the best selection and prices. I drive farther just so I can shop there. The staff has always been knowledgeable and helpful, the store is organized and items are easy to find. Would highly recommend shopping at Menards for any home improvement project.

Great place anything you need for home improvement, projects, etc. Always spend too much when I drop in as I find more products that I wasnt looking for but will find useful. Other than that and sometimes having to chase down staff to get questions answered a great place to spend an afternoon.

Was just there and after about 15-20 minutes of trying to find help and trying to get employees to help me I gave up and went home. I guess Ill spend my dollars elsewhere, will never step foot in that store again. No not my first bad experience with this store but will be my last.

Menards is one of those gargantuan megastores that come in handy. A fun place to shop, a wonderful selection of what seems EVERYTHING, but unlike other hardware giants, Lowes and Home Depot, they dont offer a Veterans Discount, but they had before, but discontinued it.

Terrible customer service. I bought a dryer and was told to buy a plug because it didnt come with one so I spent an extra 20 when I get home it had a plug. Then I got attitude when I asked them to load the dryer in my vehicle not happy with menards at all..

Website stated store hours 6:30 am to 10:00 pm. Drove 40 minutes to get there from Adrian only to find out they closed at 9:00!!! Very frustrating. While in the parking lot 3 other vehicles pulled up to the door to check the hours. So wasnt just us!

Service is always slow. Right now Ive been waiting over 10 minutes just to get into the lumber yard to get my 2 boards that it took me 15 minutes to pay for inside. Extremely frustrating when your on a schedule

Very good experience! Employees are very helpful with everything. My husband is handicapped so I had to have alot of help finding the right merchandise and loading all of it. Makes the shopping a breeze.

Good selection, but customer service was VERY slow every time Ive used it. Calling the store was terrible too - took forever for someone to answer. If I need something, Ill go farther to get it at Lowes.

This place has no respect for truck drivers who deliver their products take trucks out of order and refused to give trucks a dock when docks are open. Shame on you menards
