Three Strikes. You’re Out. The first time I went to this place, I was over charged for a Black Box of wine that was tagged at $18+ that I later realized, looking at the receipt at home, I was charged $21+ for. No, it was not the tax. I was taxed on top of that. I wrote it off as someone made a mistake. The second time, I went in looking for a cider by Gypsy Circus called “Vaudevillian” (Great stuff) but they did not have it on the shelf and the employee informed me “We have Growlers of that for $7.99.” I had not purchased those before but I agreed. I get to the counter and the charge is about $20. When I ask about his $7.99 price, I was then told that $7.99 was just the deposit for his bottle. Again, I had not purchased this way before but I was more than a little irritated about the crappy communication and was tempted not to pay for it, but realizing that it was from a tap, and could not be “Put back” I made the purchase. Third and final strike…I went in to have the Growler jug filled up and was told, by the same employee that sold it to me, that they closed their taps at 9:00 and it was close to 9:30. This was never communicated to me either. I reminded him of the previous poor communication and he goes to another employee and says “He wants to talk to you.” (I had not asked to speak to anyone.) I gave the account to the 2nd employee (I don’t know if he was supposed to be a manager as he never introduced himself) and he says “Oh we have THAT cider in cans now!” So I requested to return my jug for the deposit back and I would just purchase the cans. He tried to discourage me from this stating that “You can take it anywhere to be filled.” Finally he returned my deposit. (As if I wanted to tote his jug around in case I wanted a “Fill up” somewhere) When I ask where the cans of cider were he walks back to where they have two OTHER flavors of Gypsy Circus (NOT the Vaudevillian) When I told him that neither of these were the “Vaudevillian” that he had on tap, he then pretended to not know which flavor I had purchased, though it was the only one he offers on tap and we had just discussed it! I will not be back. They do not want to be inconvenienced with your business.

A Private User

The sales clerk checking me out didnt give me the "sale price", was checking his phone the whole time he was ringing me up. (Reason he didnt realize they werent ringing up on sale). AND I asked if they gave a military discount. He said yes. I showed him my id, he looked right at it, said "cool" but didnt even give me the discount. Maybe if he wasnt on his phone the whole time I would come back but I felt rushed out so I will not be back. Customer service is everything....

In contrast to the previous reviewer, I have enjoyed good customer service at Farragut Wine & Spirits for the past two years. I buy wine by the case when it is on sale and have never had a problem with discounts at the register. The salespeople are courteous and usually offer to help me take my boxes and bags to my beat-up car (no, I am not rich and yes, I live in Farragut). The employees are also pretty good with suggestions within pretty much any budget.

Plenty to choose,offers a rewards card with discounts, staff is very knowledgeable on their products, has brands that others do not offer at great prices. Staff has awesome sense of humor and very speedy at service. Plenty of parking,wheelchair accessible, easily to locate from road. Very clean neat and well stock.

Save your gas and time. Farragut Wine & Spirits is "stripped" bare shelves where Spirits were! NO inexpensive wine left. Only good for decorative items.
