Ive waited almost an entire year to write this review, as Ive given Duncan Automotive numerous opportunities to rectify this situation. Since they have not kept their word to "help me out" with my issue, I feel it only fair to inform the public of what transpired. I travel a lot for my line of work, and I needed a reliable, comfortable vehicle. Duncan had a 2010 Ford Taurus SHO that seemed to be in great shape. Carfax was clean and it even had maintenance records. The price was reasonable so I purchased the vehicle on April 13, 2016. The vehicle came with a 3 month/3,000 mile warranty (whichever comes first). On May 23, 2016, I was traveling back from Charleston, SC when my engine lost power. I had it towed to the closest Ford Dealership in Asheville, NC and they informed me that the engine would need to be replaced. I called Duncan Automotive about this, and although I was out of warranty due to the mileage stipulation, I was told "bring in your receipts for the repair and well help you out." After all, even after 3,100 miles, a vehicle shouldnt suffer catastrophic engine failure. Duncan had my car towed from Asheville Ford to Jerry Duncan Ford in Harriman. The service manager quoted me approximately $8,500 to replace the engine. This was the "buddy deal." I had the vehicle towed to another shop, and they replaced the engine for me for substantially less. Since it was coming out of my pocket, it made sense to be budget conscious. After all of this, I had all of my receipts for the tows, rental car, engine, and labor costs. I contacted Duncan multiple times, as was always told that the owner would get back to me. I paid them a visit in person, dropped off all of my receipts, and was again told that they would get back to me. I even went so far as to write Marty Duncan a letter, with all receipts attached. Still, no response. In total, this entire ordeal cost me $4,809.98 out of pocket in tows, rental car, and repairs. This doesnt take into account the business loss I incurred while without vehicle. Even though Duncan told me "bring your receipts and well help you out," I havent seen a dime.

Since my first car was given to me by family, this was my first time dealing with a car dealership. I was a little wary because most car dealerships, especially used ones, have some anomie. I was blown away by Duncan automotive. Fantastic car shopping experience. My salesman, Jeff, was professional and had great communication. Would text and call frequently to keep me updated. Kent, who handled our final sales, was also professional and congenial. I never felt like there were tricks or chicanery. It was a quick and painless process. If youre in the Knoxville area looking for luxury used cars, these are the go-to guys.

I purchased an used Infinity M35 from Duncan. The purchase experience was very positive and frankly better then I expected. Duncan honored their commitment to making some small cosmetic repairs. There were no high pressure sales gimmicks and they accommodated my request to have the car looked at by an independent mechanic. This was one of the best car buying experiences I have ever had.
