I was impressed with the selection as soon as I walked in. I saw several employees, and was even asked to move by one of them. But I was never asked if I needed assistance - which I did. I have rather specific needs due to some physical limitations, and have come to the conclusion that some pull on boots may be my answer. But there were so many choices, and I walked through the entire Mens section for well over 20 minutes - and I was never approached by anybody. They were aware of my existence, as they were testing their theft deterrent system and no fewer than 4 employees looked me in the eye as they did so. I was very disappointed, I had such reasonable expectations given the reviews I read before making the special trip into Clarksville, that I was expecting at least some basic customer service. I got nothing but silence beyond the initial request for me to move - and that was within the first 3 minutes of my arrival... and was not even followed up with a simple question like "Can I help you find something in particular?". With a selection so vast, and my meandering through the aisles, it seemed like a reasonable question to be asking. Im not sure what my next move should be though... I believe they are well suited to answer my questions and ultimately fulfill my needs. But Im not sure if I can overlook having been ignored by so many employees. I went to a Tractor Supply Co. nearby to look at what they had to offer. I could not effectively try them on there because of an anti theft device making it impossible to wear one boot. And honestly, they just dont have the selection either. I will end up making another special trip soon, whether I return to Boots Plus, go to another boot shop in Clarksville, or decide to travel to Nashville remains to be seen.

If there was an option for 0 or negative stars; that is what I would choose. Ive honestly never written a review before, but it only seems necessary for this unprofessional establishment. Let me preface this by saying I work in customer service, I have all of my life and I HATE when customers show up 5 minutes before close, but it happens. And I help them just like I do anyone else. So tonight we were in a rush to try and find a black pearl snap shirt for my husband to wear to his grandfathers funeral tomorrow. Weve only been in the area for 5 months and weve seen this store while driving by a few times. We decided we would try it since there arent many western stores in the area. It was 8:57, Ill be completely honest, but the store has posted hours of 9pm closing time. Once we pulled into the lot and parked a gentleman walked up to the door and turned the lights off and the open sign off, clearly trying to relay a message that he didnt want to help us. My husband was already walking to the door at this point so he continued. When he opened the door he was told that they were closed and they wouldnt help him. I called the store as we left the parking lot, meanwhile its 8:59pm. A lady answered and continued to explain to me that they are closed and have been closed because their registers were already counted and closed. She was completely rude and had no empathy or remorse just told me she didnt have a shirt for a funereal anyways and hung up on me. So, I would imagine their customer service on an every day basis is probably the same. DO NOT support this business because they have poor customer service and lack a level of professionalism that I have never seen before.

Stopped in to find some new work boots, and was pleased with the available selection. But thats where the good news stopped. The prices were quite high. The boot I looked at was a new model release, from a big name brand. The actual MSRP on the manufactures website was $165.00. That is true MSRP, and not on sale, discount, etc... The pricetag on the boot from Boots Plus was $195!!! These boots are not a special edition, rare, or anything of that nature. Boots Plus tries to offset the price hike with an "Industrial Boot Discount" of 20% off, but all they are doing is jacking up the prices, to break even at MSRP. When I asked about the price inflation, I was told "We cant offer the same prices as the internet dealers, since we operate a store-front." Now granted, MSRP is a suggested retail price... But it just seems a little too misleading to me. I will not be purchasing anything from this establishment. I truly love to support local, but many local places are making it more and more difficult.

You couldnt pay me to shop here again. Came to order a special pair of shoes for my grandmother who is undergoing hip rehabilitation. Gave the manager my order but she never placed it. Came in to politely follow up after 2 weeks had gone by and the manager yelled repeatedly at my family. I will never bring my business to this store ever again and I would advise anyone reading this to do the same.

I have had great service in the past but since the renovation and new people there the experience was very unprofessional. Nothing but cackling about personal business all over the store as they watched me scratch my head about what was a sale and what wasnt. I have purchased my work boots here for the past three years but not this year.

Walked in and was given my space to look around and get an idea of what I wanted before I asked for help, after which I was given all the help I couldve asked for and got into an excellent pair of Dan Post boots! Great experience for me! Dont forget the Apache Cream!

Hayes has an awesome selection of boots. My husband can always find something he loves there for work. The quality is great. Weve never bought shoes from there and had them tear up. Their prices are reasonable, and their staff is really helpful and friendly.
