I made my first visit to my Greenville, SC area store after receiving an ULTA circular in my paper. I just recently moved to the area and was unaware of the stores existence beforehand. When I do purchase makeup it is typically from Sephora, which is 3 hours away. I have been searching for a closer alternative and was excited to seek out ULTA in my area. Upon arriving in the store, I was not greeted nor approached by any of the sales staff whatsoever the entire 45 minutes I was there. Granted it was clearly a rather busy time for the store, but it seemed to me the free associates were seeking out the more prestige type of consumer rather than myself.I am a 25 year old mother and I had my two year old daughter with me. She is extremely well-behaved and was quiet and patient the entire time we were there. I feel as if my money is as good as any other patron of the store, regardless if they think I can spare the expense for product. The only person that was gracious to me was the cashier, who was very thorough and friendly. I am very pleased with my ULTA brand purchases in price point and quality, as this is my very first time using their products. I will return to my area store for that sole reason, in hopes that I will receive better customer service next time.

Yesterday I came to have my eyebrows and lip waxed at the brow bar. I must say, I was not impressed. I do not normally write reviews , however, a girl named Peyton completed my services and I feel like my experience could have been a lot more enjoyable.I had an 11:00am appointment and when I approached the brow bar, I was not greeted with a smile, more so she was upset because her wax was not hot. Then proceeded to tell me that she needed to wait 20 minutes for the wax to get hot and she could reschedule me or I could wait. I decided to wait, because I knew it wouldnt take 20 minutes to get hot, being a former benefit brow girl. I was not asked to sign anything before starting my services, which is extremely important. What if I had a chemical peel the day prior? I did not receive the eye cream under my eye --- Peyton did not ask me to view my eyebrow outline before waxing, nor were my eyebrows dressed. She did not offer to give me any cooling aloe, I had to ask for it, which she should also know that after waxing it feels like your skin is on fire and cooling aloe should just be offered. I feel like she may need to be trained a little better on giving the best experience.

I made an appointment for a cut for a hair donation. I showed the stylist what I wanted. Explained my hair texture, what I did not want, etc. As always, the client is turned away from the mirror. I had no idea what was going on. She cut an additional two inches off after the donation AND did exactly what I told her I did not want. On top of that, the entire cut is uneven. I called to explained what happened later that day once I realized how terrible the cut was The employee on the phone was very impersonal and never apologized for what happened. I came in the next day to discuss the issue with a manager. The manager was not there as I was told. The stylists that were present kept looking at me like I had three eyes. Not one genuine apology at all. For a salon that is highly talked about, I will not be going back ever. I left with a refund and uneven hair. I refused to let anyone there touch my hair since they messed it up the first time. Now the hunt begins for a new stylist while I walk around with uneven hair and undesired cut and style. Save yourself the trouble and dont go there. They cannot follow directions or listen to the client.

My first and last time visiting Ulta. I was so excited because everyone I know loves to get their beauty products here. As we walked in no one greeted us. While walking through the store we had so many questions and needed someone to match colors for us. No one that walked by us, at least 5 different employees, offered to help. We end up sitting at the station and trying different colors on each other. One employee even came to where we were to get an item and then walked away. I planned to buy at least 2 products in the store when initially walking in, but after seeing the horrible customer service and lack of customer service I decided to spend my money elsewhere. The only employee attention was when we were leaving the store and the lady at the front kept eye balling us and following as if we stole something. The ladies in this store need a customer service intervention!!!!

This is a nice store. Went in for the first time ever. Ive always been a sephora girl. This seems like a good place to buy makeup if you need absolutely no help. The employees are polite but not knowledgeable. Didnt really seem to know much about the differences in products or the proper use of some of the brushes. The selection is very very good. Nice mixture of high end make up and the more affordable brands. Basically this is the Walmart to sephoras target. Its big, clean, less expensive but also has less knowledgeable staff, more messes and less of a stock of good quality products.

The ladies there are rude as hell. Ill never shop there again. They literally chased me out the door thinking I stole something bc I decided not to get an item one of the ladies helped me with. I was so angry I called & spoke with a manger & she was rude about it to. I posted a status on my Facebook & had four different girls tell me their service was awful & they were watched like hawks while shopping there. I just read the 6 reviews before I posted & not one thing was positive. Definitely try ulta in another area. Dont waste your time on this rude nasty staff!

This was the worst hair experience I have ever had. I expected it to be fun and relaxing; instead, it was stressful and sickening. I went here because it was conveniently open on Sunday and nearby -- bad mistake! The so called "Master Stylist" costs a fortune and does not do color well at all. She cuts well, but that is it. I came with my roots showing and left with my roots showing 5 hours later. Its awful. She didnt even own up to not knowing what she was doing and placed the blame on everything else like the bad lighting in the salon.

DONT ORDER on LIne I ordered several items to get up to $50.00 purchase for free delivery and a selection of my free gift. My free gift was to be the fragrance sampler and did not get it I got a tiny facial cream packet. I called and complained and they said the fragrance is in stock and that I will receive it next week. Well I got the same thing again the facial cream. The supervisor said they cant send fragrances by themselves it has to be in a box. My stupid facial cream came today by itself in a box. DONT ORDER ON LINE a total joke
