Two Stars and Two Things. #1: They saved me a lot of money. #2: Money aint everything. I have wanted my first Harley for a long time now. Ive owned almost everything else but I never took a Triumph Speed Triple, etc to H-Dog to shop. I dont understand why, but NONE of the sales persons would even make eye contact. After several tries over a year + of the same thing, I was ready to buy, regardless. And just for the record, I dont dress up nor down, just jeans and a T-shirt like most others. Im a professional and Ive gotten to that point in life, thankfully, that I can pretty much have whatever I want. Dont need financing. Youd think they could smell that type of buyer. I found what I wanted like many, with Al Gores invention, the interwebz. It was a never-before model designation and came with everything I could want and a couple of things I could live without. Not a cheap bike. 110 inch motor, ABS, cruise, etc. They didnt have one yet. Located one at another SC dealer that would involve a bit of driving and a trailer. Gave me a very, very good price over the PHONE! We had never even met! But that drive, I dont know. So, checked with H-Dog, whatever that means. Didnt have one. OK, I can give you a grand to hold it whenever. How much? Well, the tall, thin salesman with the interesting voice deferred to some finance type guy or could have been the owner for all I know. He quoted: MSRP, delivery + setup, tax, tags and all other normal legitimate charges, in case I am forgetting some. Okay, that total plus $500.00! Um...come again? I apparently heard him right. They called it "Dealer Premium." I imagine most of us would call it something else. I then told him that I had secured a MUCH better deal just miles away. He checked with numbers guy. No change. Without actually saying it, he said take it or leave it. I left it. Drove a few miles and saved quite a good bit of cash that same day. Made sure to ride it to the shop the following day. Since they didnt have one, mine caused quite a stir. One of their female employees was so excited when I told her that, yes, of course she could sit on it. Good fun. Point being, Im a reasonable guy. I was not and am not mad with them for ignoring me and my money all those times. Not even for attempting to do something pretty foul to me while calling it "Dealer Premium." But bottom line is, you have the same product to sell as every other dealer. The only way you can make yourself stand out in my mind is by the way you treat me. And that ship has sailed. It can return, but for now, you know how that goes. The somewhat humorous part of this debacle is that, when they finally got the bike, it sat there and it sat there and it sat there some more. And the DEMAND was there, heck, a buddy of mine wanted it! Presumably, it sat because of that "DP," I guess we can call it. I even took a picture of that price tag for those days that I need a laugh or if I ever start feeling like I spent too much for MY bike. HA! Yep, they saved me some real money. That is why this review is not ONE STAR! Maybe they can save you some money, too!

Hey gang. Just bought myself a preowned 2010 softail deluxe with super low miles and a really great price. The first person i met when i walked in the door was tommy (store manager, maybe part owner) and he was nothing but a first class great guy. Every question i had was answered, plus some great advice about my particular motorcycle, and others as well. Got to meet the whole h dog gang and they were just as nice as they could be as well. This was by far the best experience ive ever had purchasing a vehicle. After i pruchased the bike, tommy and the h dog gang made sure i didnt leave just with a bike. They gave us a few gifts to go along with the beautiful harley that i got a great deal on. Let me just add this to the ones before me who rated this place 4 stars or lower, if you walk in h dog with a smile on your face and a great attitude, you will be treated the same way and better (in my experience). If u walk in trying to be all hard and a bad ass with no personality, then i dont blame them a bit for not wanting to give you excellent service. But all and all, im 110% sure that they will greet me with a smile when i get service or anything i need, because i made the effort to get to know everyone just like the great people of harley davidson of greenville did for us. (wife included). Now we feel like were part of a great family at harley of greenville. Thank you guys so much for everything. It was a blast and look foward to seeing you guys in the future. Love yall!!! Derek n Shona

If there could be a NO Star Rating thats what I would give.Walking around the dealership for over an hour wanting a price on a new Harley on the floor. Finally ask if there was a salesman available, after 5 mins an older male person walked up to me and I asked if he was a salesman for new Harleys, he stopped looked at me, said he was a salesman padded me on the back and walked away. WOW. Explained to a lady in an office left of the Parts counter and she stated, Yea sounds like him, he is just OFF all the time. Now leaving me clueless on how they stay in business. SECOND day had to get parts for buddies motorcycle so went in and tried to get a firm price and break down of parts added. Should have left it alone, Still had to search for a salesman and found Jermey as he was very full of himself and spoke to me as if I know nothing about Harleys or the process of purchasing one. 1. Horrible Customer service. 2. When a new bike has a Numbered paint set from Harley, YOU DONT PAY EXTRA FOR THE PAINT SET THAT CAME ON THE BIKE FROM THE FACTORY! Wanting to charge for the install of paint set, paint set, and the factory paint set, REALLY GUYS! 3. So much more to type but NOT worth my time. 4. Could have paid cash for the bike or slapped it on any of the credit cards, or could have gotten a cashiers check. 5. Parts GUY did not know what he was doing, As I had to explain to him other products where needed and parts for the job at hand. Good Luck Greenville Harley Davidson you have a bright future?

The business is nice, and theyve got a great selection of bikes. So why the 3-stars? With the exception of the service staff, and the front retail desk, their staff is One of the most unfriendly, and unwelcoming group of people Ive ever encountered at a business. They make feel as though you are in their way and absolutely but meet them and their time. Tommy, their main salesperson (or perhaps co-owner) as well as one of the finance ladies, was very nice throughout the purchase of my bike, but over the many visits and the 3+ years that Ive been coming back over here, you would think its a company policy for them to not make eye contact with you. Ive said "hello" to Tommy on several occasions, only to have him, without a response, walk on by. Hes either extremely hard of hearing, or just a condescending, self-serving narcissistic member of the HDOG elite. As for the service crew (at the service desk), and the retail store staff, they are gracious and courteous. Cost of service is very high, but I would imagine its on par for the Harley franchise. If youre looking for a great selection of Harleys in the Greenville area, this is a great dealer. If you dont mind good front in treatment by the sales team, and you dont care if they completely ignore you after the sale, this also may be the dealer for you.
