Please read before you plan to have Dirty Dog Depot board your animals. I was an actual customer up until this past Saturday that was until my loving, healthy dog suddenly passed away while in the care of Dirty Dog Depot. The animals are not boarded on-site, they are taken to a kennel with a dog run, very minimal shelter and very little attention is paid to your animal. My dog was left out in the heat for an extended period of time while “someone” was cleaning the kennel. Mind you, animals are more susceptible to the heat. This can cause stress to animals not used to being in extreme temperatures. Some stress conditions which can occur, especially with dogs is a condition called “bloating” This is where the dog is trying to cool his/herself off rapidly with heavy panting, unable to cool down the dog and or cat will go into stress causing the stomach to flip. This condition actually strangles the animal from the inside cutting off the blood flow to the intestines, liver and kidneys, known as internal strangulation. This is exactly what had happened to my dog while in the care of Dirty Dog Depot, she was left unattended in the heat. According to the autopsy from the vet, my dog was a perfectly healthy 6 year old lab, no internal conditions which could have caused her sudden death. Her heart was in great shape, teeth were clean, and lungs were clear, no signs of puncture or any type of disease, not even fleas; all due to stress of being left in the heat. In doing some further research, the facility where the animals are boarded is an outdoor dog run with kennels, the only shelter from the heat is a plywood overhang. When it happened, rather than taking my animal directly to a vet, she lay there for 18 hours until a vet was located. I’m sorry to say, there are several 24 hour emergency animal facilities. Please do your research on boarding facilities and don’t assume that all actually care for animals.

NO NO NO! Horrible Experience. My Dogs stayed for 2 days. They were returned rank and smelled horrible. One came back with a rash. Their play beds needed to be washed when I got them back and the killer here was they did not give back to me the left overs of the 1 gallon of food I left for my dogs. They gave the excuse that the dogs ate all of it or either kicked it over so they had to keep refilling the bowl. Bull! I called them out on that and they gave me $25 bucks in return bc they knew they were wrong. Its essentially 2 companies, one is the boarder that lives near Lake Wylie where the dogs go at night and the other is the groomer and thats the Dirty Dog Depot in Fort Mill. The boarder is horrible and neither of them are on the same page with each other. Hell the boarder tried to get my business from Dirty Dog Depot when I picked my dogs up and wanted me to bypass DDD. I will never walk foot back in either locations. DDD is hurting from doing joint business with the other company. My friends mom warned me of them as she went thru the same thing with this company. Choose another and pass on Dirty Dog Depot. Its the worst experience Ive had in a while.

we love all the staff at Dirty Dog Depot i never have to worry about my dogs safety WHEN THEY ARE THERE BEING GROOMED i know they are given water during their stay......they know how we want them bathed and they always do a great job ! ....We love all of the groomers there. BOARDED MY DOG OVER THE WEEKEND. I DROPPED OFF HIS 60LB BAG OF DOG FOOD WITH HIM. PICKED HIM UP 3 DAYS LATER. HE SMELLED OF URINE AND HIS COAT WAS A MESS FROM DIRT. SMELLED VERY BADLY. THEY DID NOT HAVE HIS FOOD WHEN I ARRIVED TO PICK HIM UP. AS OF THIS POSTING, IM STILL WAITING ON THE FOOD. 3 DAYS LATER. I URGE YOU TO LOOK ELSEWHERE WHEN CARING FOR YOUR LOVED ONES.

My puggle Punkin loves to go there for boarding. She always come back healthy, happy and clean. When she needs medication, they make sure she gets it. The little dogs are separate from the big dogs so I know shes safe and sound. They do a wonderful job with the grooming. Ive been a customer for over 5 years and wont go anywhere else.

Love love love the staff at Dirty Dog Depot! They are always so willing to work with my schedule & the grooming staff knocks it out of the park! My Boxer loves it there, proof is when he walks himself in! Dont over pay & put your animals at risk @ the big box stores. . . Bring then to the Dirty Dog Depot! Youll be glad you did! ! :-)

Left my 2 dogs for over a week at Dirty Dog Depot. I was worried because I have never left them that long. I went to pick them up today and both dogs were happy and very clean (They both had baths) The staff there really seems to get to know the dogs that stay there and really care about them. I will definitely be using them again.

I dropped my dog off to be boarded for 3 days in the summer of 2007 & when I picked him up he smelled of urine & had feces in his hair & all over his body.
