I came in three days ago and silly me signed a contract where basically they could take my money and try and get me back in within a few days to get it fixed again! I didnt read that they wouldnt cover phones that were cracked. but it was due to the phone sensor not working since the moment I picked it up. I even made a comment when we got in the car how excited I was but then it wouldnt even immediately swipe to unlock my iPhone 6. Unfortunately I work full time and am super busy with Christmas stuff and my family I thought I had this "warrenty" but he told me if I would have brought it in immediately he would have re repaired it. I had a incredibly horrible experience with this company and the owner or boss I believe on the telephone, Bill. I tried to call and was nice at first but of course Im an unsatisisfied customer and could only be so nice for so long considering the fact I was getting SCAMMED!! DO NOT GO HERE. I WAS DUMB ENOUGH TO TAKE MY PHONE THERE AFTER THE DID THAT SAME CON WITH ME THREE OTHER TIMEA THIS YEAR BUT WOULD TRICK ME WITH A 10% DISCOUNT FOR FREQUENT CUATOMERS... RED FLAG SHOULD HAVE WENT OFF THEN WHY WOULD A PHONE REPAIR COMPANY THAT DOES A GOOD JOB HAVE SO MANY FREQUENT CUSTOMERS? THIS PLACE IS NOTHING BUT A QUICK HUSTLE FOR CASH WITCH IM SURE THEY ARR RAKING IN THE DOUGH CONSIDERING IT TAKES THEM 20 mins to do a very bad repair job for upwards to 30% higher rate than other local companies that dont have the same exact bad reviews and same bad things that happened to them on this site. I had to replace my glass on my phone multiple times with the same company silly me with my iPhone 5 In the beginning year of 2015. I even told him I didnt think I wanted them replacing anyways bc they do such a bad job even if he would call and offer!!!! Please save your money and go somewhere reliable!!!

BEWARE OF THIS PLACE! NOVICE TECHNICIANS WHO DONT KNOW WHAT THEY ARW DOING AND STILL CHARGE YOU $200!!!!! GO TO APPLE STORE INSTEAD!!! I just picked up my iPhone 7 from this place for the second time today - after the first time it wasnt fixed correctly - and it STILL is not right. I came in with a shattered screen, it happens when you drop your phone, and when I came in the woman behind the desk didnt know if what I had was an iPhone 6, 6S, or 7 and had to ask her colleague. (First clue I should have ran out of there ) She first quoted me ~$100 to fix my screen and then when she realized it was an iPhone 7 she charged me $213!!!!!!! (Second clue this is not a place of tech experts) And get this, when I came to pick it up, the screen was fixed but the home button was broken and the gold ring wasnt flush with the phone. A jagged ring. The whole point of getting Apple products is their elegant seamless design and this one feature was perfect when I brought it in and now its broken! I realized it when I walked out, turned back around and brought it back in. They ended up having to redo it and alas, IT STILL WASNT RIGHT!! And their explanation? "Its the best we could do. I worked hard on it for 30 min and thats all I could do to, maybe it will get better as you use the phone over the next couple of days " huh!? For $213!?! This is the service? Not even an offer for a partial refund for returning a flawed phone to me at best or an "Im sorry we messed up" at base. Terrible service and lack of expertise. Better to take your iPhone to people who know what they are doing for the same price at the Apple Store and wait the few days. At least you know your phone wont be worse off after its returned to you.

I had a cracked screen due to a drop. The phone would still function, it just had a dead area at the bottom and I had to take extra steps to get where I wanted to go. I e-mailed PhoneMD and they promptly responded telling me to bring it in. Parking is a major pain on King St. after 12pm, but I was able to get there in the late AM, drop it off, go have lunch and come back and pick it up. The price for repair was fair; around $150, which included an entire new front for my phone (not just the glass,) labor and tax. I didnt think to test out all the features at pick up, but quickly realized there were issues once home. I had zero sound. Im pretty handy and by simply removing the back cover I quickly saw it was due to a bad connection, fixed that and all worked well. Over the course of the next few weeks, other issues started to pop up. I chalked most of them up to needing to factory reset my device, but before doing that I took it back into PhoneMD and had them recheck the connections within; camera and sound wasnt working properly. They blew out the speaker, checked all the connections and I went home and factory reset. So far all is well and am Im pleased with the work. Id give them 4.5 stars as it was inconvenient to have to bring it back in for a recheck, but am pleased with the results of my doing so.

I decided to replace my iphone screen at Myphonemd. I thought that it was a little pricey but the sales clerk, Brett Dodge, assured me that if anything happened to the screen, they would replace it free of charge for the next year. About a week after the screen was replaced, I noticed that the black screen was fading to white around the edges. There was also a 3 second delay every time I tried to do anything on the phone. I decided I was going to take it back to be fixed the next time I was in Charleston, and a few days later my phone dropped out of my purse and the screen shattered again. I was not worried because they assured me the screen had a one year warranty. Well that is not the case. If the screen has any crack in it at all, the warranty is voided and I was told I would have to pay another $185 for it to be fixed. Their whole business is replacing screens and the warranty is only there to cover their mistakes when installing it. I would never have purchased it to begin with.

A lot of these 5 star reviews are all written the same. Theyre fake. Price for the screen replacement was a bit excessive. Got my phone back, next day the glass was coming out of the frame. I could see that the home button was also damaged, as it sat lower than the new glass they installed. There were small black spots behind the screen, and it appeared to either be dirt/dust or the LCD itself was damaged. I didnt drop my phone or anything since the repair. I then had to waste gas to drive 25 minutes back downtown, fight to find a parking spot, and virtually waste about 2 hours of my time because they couldnt do the job correctly the first time. Upon return they fixed their mistakes and my phone seemed to be repaired properly, aside from the home button. They gave me a free screen protector for my trouble. And now, I see after a second visit they still messed up. The glass is loose and coming out of the frame once again, and I havent dropped my phone. DO NOT GO HERE.
