Basically did everything short of call me a criminal when I went in to look into selling one of my guns. It was a smaller gun that Ive had for years. I dont have the box or anything with it, which, in my opinion, isnt all that uncommon. However, the guy basically did everything short of accusing me of stealing it. He looked up the going value of the gun on GunBroker, and after some whispering with his colleague, then offered me about 20% of that. He put a lock on the gun and gave me the key and said thatd probably help with the police, but I could take the lock off once I left the store Seriously? Ive been to this location before to sell a piece and walked out without any gun lock when we couldnt reach an agreement, so this isnt standard practice. I have a CWP and am affiliated with law enforcement/local government, so Im definitely not pleased to be treated like a crook. I like to buy/sell/trade guns, and have sold at this store before, and they generally offer reasonable prices and credits for trades, but I doubt Ill be back after this. The clear impression I got was that if you dont have the receipt with your gun, theyre going to accuse you of stealing it and offer you pennies on the dollar and act like theyre doing you a favor. What can you expect though I guess? Its a crappy pawn shop, not a real gun store.

This was my worst experience ever with a pawn shop I went up there with my computer to pawn till Friday because we needed groceries and in between check and theadh who was extremely rude said if I put anti virus on it they would give me a 100 for it so I went home and put an anti virus and went back so we had started the process a second time and the lady then proceeds to tell me there is to much in the memory and if I deleted some of it she would take it so I went home deleted everything before I even walk in the door the lady was like we cant take that thing if that was the case you couldnt have told me right from the begging literally wasted my whole day. I will from now on never go to a money man again

i have never have sold anything at this pawn shop so cant give anyone feedback on the pawning side of things.but when it comes to buying merchandise this is by far the best pawn shop in charleston.the prices are reasonable and if you buy multiple items the salepeople will work with you and cut you deals which makes me excited to frequently go to this store almost weekly and buy lots of stuff..courteous service is always given with a smile.i wish i could say the same thing for all the money man pawn shops in the area.i have been going to this pawn shop for over 8 years and spent lots of money with them and plan on continuing doing so

Crappy Place, Crappy people. I pawned my pistol awhile back after I moved here to find a place to live. Not only did they rip me off on payments but at least one of the employees admitted to handling my pistol repeatedly while it was in their safe. Another location overcharged me when I purchased a PS3, they have stickers on all their items that show what the price should be after it has been on the shelves for a period of time and the man lied to my face about it then overcharged me. I will never buy or sell to them ever again. Everyone needs to make money, but pawn shops didnt used to be in business just to rip everyone off.

The current manager Joseph has really seemed to turn things around. Its a friendly place to be and the products in my experience have been inspected well before being placed for sale. The staff is very knowledgeable. They do training at that store so the amount of knowledge from associate to associate may very. But find Joseph and he will have the answers

I went in about a month to try to sell a sterling silver ring that i had gotten and it did not fit me anymore and i was tired of paying people to size it. I asked the guy how much they would give me for it and he said 1.00 and the ring itself cost me more than 50.00. My point being that all they are trying to do is rip you off. Case closed!

it is what it is, but i think the place is clean and the people are friendly. they prices for video games, movies and tools seem pretty good. some stuff is a rip-off, but i would make an offer, cause they can will deal.
