I am a huge doughnut fan. This is the 2nd time I had driven a half hour to go there, the first was on the day they were supposed to open weeks ago and didnt. So after being delayed for weeks I was excited to finally try the doughnuts. I got there before noon and they were already out of everything but some german chocolate crap, so I got that and it wasnt very good. You sell one thing, make enough if it, make more than you think you need, better to have too much than too little, especially on opening day. Even at full capacity they only offer 3-4 kinds, its not like a normal doughnut shop where you have a wide selection. It appeared that they are all cake doughnuts (though I couldnt tell for sure since they only had one available) cake doughnuts are not good in my opinion. Also the doughnuts are way overpriced. Thank god we have krispy kreme in west ashley, dunkin doughnuts, joey bag of doughnuts in Mt. P and doughnut connection in goose creek. Epic fail on opening glazed gourmet.

Glazed Gourmet Doughnuts offers sweet and savory selections that will satisfy even your pickiest of eaters. It took me FOUR trips to finally sample their treats, so plan to arrive early! Treats are baked fresh daily, so once theyre sold out, youre out of luck. My daughter and husband (who is SUPER picky about his food) loved their maple bacon doughnut, and I devoured the orange old fashioned. Its tight quarters on the inside, so not ideal for large parties. There were four of us on our visit, and we were squeezed in tight by the door. Service was fast and friendly, and our chai drinks were very tasty, too. Remember that this is a "gourmet" experience, so it is not the cheapest place to go for a morning sweet craving. We will stop by here every chance we get!

Lovely people. We hurried in just five minutes before closing and they seemed as happy to see us as if we were the first customers of the day. They even gave us a couple of free donuts! Excellent donuts. Wonderfully light, scrumptious yeast donuts. We tried the raspberry, chocolate glazed, and cinnamon sugar and couldnt decide on a favorite because we liked them so much. I personally think the raspberry was the best (by a hair) because the glaze was just the most perfect raspberry flavored ANYTHING Ive ever had. The cinnamon sugar was likewise not only delicious, but I loved its curly S shape. Fun, whimsical. Get there before closing so you can try more donuts! I definitely recommend this place.

Donuts that are like a hybrid between fancy pastries and regular donuts. They fill their chocolate donuts with a filling that actually tastes and looks like real chocolate, which is a big deal for the world of donuts. Everything weve had has been pretty amazing here, the coffee is pretty good too. The only complaint would be that they have a menu that wont do you any good since they quickly sell out of whats listed. Just point to what you want. Is it the best donut youve ever had? For us its one of the two best donuts weve ever had, if it even counts as a donut anymore.

I was personally not a fan of this place but also know that Im not a huge doughnut fan in the first place. I do prefer a Krispy Kreme when the hot and ready sign is on. My doughnut was pretty bland, dough or icing didnt melt in your mouth the way I expected it to considering how much ppl rave about this place. I ate 3 bites and threw the rest away. Sorry, wish it was a better experience. My friend on the other hand downed her pistachio doughnut so Im guessing she liked it and she is always talking about this place. She also has an excessive sweet tooth! (<-slerner)

We were staying at a nearby hotel so we came here for a mid-day treat. My wife thoroughly enjoyed the donut with dark chocolate in the middle and she said that it was like having a pain au chocolate in donut form. My daughter had the peanut butter pie donut and loved it. My son liked his donut with chocolate icing and sprinkles and I really enjoyed my strawberry shortcake donut. If you want cheap donuts go to Krispy Kreme or DD. But if you want really outstanding specialty donuts go to glazed. Its worth it.

These donuts are addictive. If you ever find yourself on King and Glazed isnt closed yet, run inside real quick before they sell out. And believe me, they do sell out. I recommend virtually any donut on the menu - my personal faves include Raspberry and the Purple Goat. They have a donut for everyone, vegan options included. And dont think they only sell donuts, they offer a wide range of coffee and tea options and a few other specialty items from time to time.

Does anyone else think their donuts taste like they use Splenda/artificial sweetener!? Something was seriously off with the sugary flavor in these donuts. The chocolate filled donut left a strange, artificial sweetener flavor on the tongue--I would not recommend it at all. The apple fritter with bacon pieces was okay--pretty dry, but the big apple slices inside redeemed it a bit. Try it for yourself and see if the donuts taste like artificial sweeter. Yuck!

We were expecting something a little more unique than what we got. Other reviews said that we could expect long lines due to popularity, but it was empty, save for one couple, at 9:30pm on a Saturday night. So fortunately (I guess), we walked right up and ordered. We got a chocolate with sprinkles and a bramble berry buttercream. Both were fresh, which was essential, of course, but my wife and I both agreed that it was just nothing that special.

Doughnuts are definitely a treat here with a rotating flavor selection with choices that go well beyond normal grocery store/chain varieties. The fresh raspberry glaze on my ring doughnut was simple but delicious with a great tartness. I would probably pass on the iced chai as it was a flavored syrup variety and therefore WAY too sweet with a doughnut and stick to coffee instead but all in all worth the weekend trek to King St.

I felt like they were way too pricey for what you got. The quality was very fresh, but the cinnamon twist was doughy in the middle like it needed to be cooked longer. The black and white was well cooked and good. The honey bun was very good...I truly just did not like the price I paid for what I got. Coffee was good, and frappe was excellent, and that was reasonably priced.

If you have some time to check out this place I suggest you do. My wife and I got two of the hand made doughnuts. My wife got the black and white donut which she says "it was heaven" and was made up of a powdery out side and dark chocolate inside. I chose the blueberry pancake which tasted just like it sounds. Side note they have V and GF choices as well.

I absolutely love this place! Whenever were in Charleston we have to stop in. I havent tried a single donut here yet that I didnt love. And I know it sounds crazy but, if you do drop in, try the blue cheese drizzle one. Id never have thought Id like that one but it is my absolute favorite. Pear compote, cabernet glaze and a blue cheese drizzle. Heaven...
