Having been born & raised in California where old school doughnut shops far outnumber chain ones I know what a good donuts tastes, feels and smells like. We have been sadly deprived of real doughnuts having lived here in s florida the past 6 yrs. After my son & I were watching the food network on all these amazing doughnut shops I decided to go online and see if we even had any here in Ft Lauderdale. My only wish is I wouldve looked online yrs ago, lol. I detest the chain shops here and their mediocre quality. You will never want a dunkin doughnut again after you have one from this place! We got there as they were closing up and the doughnuts still tasted amazing!! I can only imagine how yummy they will be when we go back sunday morning :) I will gladly drive the 10 mins to get a doughnut from Dandees then get one from the dunkin right around the corner from my house. Very nice owners too...they gave us 3 free doughnuts just for saying we were searching for a real doughnut shop & we were glad we found them.

So I readed about them in a magazine ...popular place to eat a doughnut.So I had to try them out...I brought three doughnuts:chocolate frosted with sprinkles,chocolate eclair,and sour cream doughnut(the popular one)....the chocolate sprinkle was ok but the actual doughnut was bread like.The chocolate eclair was overflowing with a vanilla pasty which was decent but very breadlike but the sour cream doughnut was a very rich dough...I like.very buttery but yet a tangy from the sour cream....nice glaze too....I love this doughnut so much....when I was leaving the breakfast platter that was coming out smell delious. The 3 doughnut was big and less than $5 dollar.besides the sourcream doughnut the rest had a breadlike taste

the food was terrible and had several hairs in it maybe because the cook doesnt wear a hair net.the place has a very strange odor and the bathroom looked like it hadnt been cleaned in ages!! the owner is verbally abusive to the waitresses infront of customers. half of the waitresses look like their on drugs and are completely incompetent especially the old one with glasses....as my waitress was cashing me out the older one decided to step in and screw everything up trying to charge me for all sorts of things i didnt order!! i would not go or return here ever agian just terrible all around!!

If you enter a ‘donut’ place and get greeted by a nose smack of heated bread, coffee, and meats—then I already consider that a good drool. Besides donuts, this place is a crowded, little diner serving other brunch fare. Although I didn’t join that area, I could see the patrons there were happy, their food looked great, and the service appeared very friendly and vigilant. Meanwhile, the counter ladies were much sweeter than their donuts which stayed moist and fluffy in both the bread and icing. Their coffee is decent and nothing extravagant—but pairs well with the coffee.

Theres something strange and sickening about this place. I cant really put my finger on it. It just feels old. When you walk in, its pretty low rent and dated looking. The pizza is sitting out, uncovered and not under a hot light so it looks congealed. The hotdogs here that they advertize are absolutely vile. I suspect theyre microwaved. Maybe they have really good coffee and donuts, I didnt try them. Instead I stopped for lunch because they advertize all sorts of regular lunch foods which are a terrible, terrible idea if youre looking.

My family and friends are obsessed with Dandee Doughnuts I however was not impressed. The doughnuts were just okay, not worth the hype. My honey bun was as dry as can be. The red velvet was okay, but a little too sweet. Boston cream was as you would expect it, just okay. Strawberry pie barely had any jelly, so it was pretty much flavorless and a HUGE disappointment. Ive been saving the Oreo because it looks promising, lets hope Im not in store for another disappointment.

2 people standing in line Took for ever to be waiting Is it strange odor in the store And little bugs flying around The restrooms look like theyve never been cleaned And a pizza and sitting on a plate With no Heat Lights And not covered Makes me never want to order one Frank the owner Sitting in his office And only comes out When he sees a pretty lady. On his monitor in his office Cameras all over the store This place give me a really bad feeling I recommend stay away.

About 2 years ago me and my husband came down for my birthday from Charleston and tried dandee donuts for the first time. It was so delicious! Every time we come we always eat every morning here and usually take some donuts home with us. This time we traveled with family and there was 10 of us and dandees was very accommodating and delicious as always. Thanks for putting up with us 3 days in a row! Keep up the good work and food!

Food is good. Its always crowded during breakfast and near impossible to find seating. Yet they want to charge 59 cents for to go breakfast meals. No thanks. I only want my things to go because its too busy to find seating. I really dont think they should be upcharging for that. Youll actually be making more money on my order then, regardless of your to go supply expense, since Im not taking up a seat.

Not a friendly place then they clean while youre sitting down eating they dont have no consideration then if youre sitting down eating they shouldnt be mopping a sweeping all that desk is all over your food they dont have no manners and they dont teach the girls how to wait for the customer to leave before they start cleaning everything they dont have no manners thats close that store down

Dandee has gotten better since I last showed up , they overhauled the staff and the ladies now actually care about the service. The doughnuts have stepped up alot since the emergence of mojo doughnuts that not to far away and really amamzing. Prices are still a little high but I can deal with them. Dandee will always be a staple in hollywood.

The name for this place is Dandee DONUTS, for a reason, only good for DONUTS. If you are taking breakfast to go, taste a little bite before you leave. THE WORST HOUSE POTATOES EVER, they are cooked with refried oil (dark, hard and burnt) and tasted horrible. Of course they charge $0.59 per breakfast (NOT PER ORDER) to take that POS to go.

Very good place for quick breakfast. Even though they have only 1 cook, she can handle orders quickly. All waiters and cashiers also very professional and well trained. This place is much better than any Dunkin Donuts with more vatiety of fuud and much better service. Thats why it is so popular among the locals.

Waited in line , watched the owner wait on customers in front of me and then he decided to go to the kitchen instead of waiting on me . This is the second time it happened . Customers always come first, shouldnt matter if you like them or not!! I will never spend another dime of my hard earned $ here.

One of the best hole-in-the-wall breakfast places ever (I have eaten all around the globe). They know their clients by name. The girls are fast, the food is fresh, and the donuts to die for! Beside the donuts and bagels, try the spinach pie and cabbage soup. Kudos to Frank and Laura.
