Ive had to switch to Best Buy and Walmart for my games. Staff there are condescending 99% of the time and only have friendly tone/decent customer service for male customers. They dont seem to have much knowledge either. I came in on a Sunday wanted to purchase/preorder a game for Tuesday and Pancho said I couldnt until the release date. "You wont be getting it since the game doesnt come out until Tuesday." I knew I wouldnt be getting the game but I just wanted to pay the balance just in case someone else needed to pick it up. He then told me it wasnt available for pre-order but if I came back Monday Id be able to buy it. If Im willing to drop the $80 why would it matter between Sunday and Monday? Not sure what system they work on, if Pancho was confused or he just was trying to save the Deluxe edition for a buddy. Horrible, horrible service.

Well the staff is very nice and ready to help, but dont seem to pay attention to the details. I traded in some old PS3 wireless duel shock controllers and explained they both had glitches..but the guy that helped me straight up bagged up my controllers and marked them both for $35.99! Didnt test them or anything. Then he sold me back two used controllers which were both marked exactly the same, except one turned out to be a knock off and doesnt have the duel shock feature needed for proper gaming. Also the charging cord they gave me doesnt even go with either controller!!!! Im expect more from GameStop as a member, wish this store would tighten up some.

This place is terrible. I went here a while back and they had a pre-owned section with a PSP-3000 for $130. So I buy it, then come home to find out the model is actually the OLD PSP-1000. I go back to the store, and the cashier apologizes because a new employee misplaced the price sticker on the pre-owned PSP3000 box.. It was actually $130 for the OLDER PSP model. So then I ask for the PSP 3000, and then he tells me its $40 more! WTF? Thats YOUR fault that you put the wrong price sticker on the PSP 3000 box, not mine! I got a refund for the PSP and left the store. TERRIBLE customer service. DONT recommend this place.

Ive been going to game stop for prob a my about 10 years now. The company is what it is, I have no qualms with that. But, this particular location is awful. Mark -Ferret- (its what his nametag says), is consistently a condescending jerk every time Im in there. Ive worked in sales for years, the best way to get someone to see the value of a warranty or rewards program isnt to belittle them... It even seems like the other employees are intimidated by him. Ill be going to best buy, or a different game stop till Mark is terminated. Literally the worst retail experience Ive had in my life. So bad that it was comical.

If I could leave a review with 0 stars I would. Staff is not knowledgeable about products and doesnt seem to care about it. Manager is condescending and more worried about speed and getting someone out the door than customer service. I have been to this store twice now for a repeat issue and each time was not pleasant. If you must do business with Gamestop then check out the Northwoods Mall or Mt. Pleasant locations. Much better customer service and more attentive to your needs as a customer. GameStop as a company isnt the best and horrible customer service from the West Ashley location doesnt help their case.

Beware of the dude who looks like the son of Doc Brown from Back To The Future. Hes a pushy condescending rude prick who is confused about where he works. You sling video games at a corporate video game shop bro you need to settle down a bit, work on your please and thank yous and overall you need to learn to respect the wishes of your customer instead of trying to browbeat us into seeing it your way. It comes across as very prickish.

Terrible trade in values and return policy . Purchased an xbox one, the next day I tried to return it because i was not happy with my purchase and they would not except any return. I was told my only option would be to trade it in for a very low price or keep it. Im sure amazon or bestbuy would have taken it back. Purchase your gaming content elsewhere

Went there to buy headset for Xbox One. Kids wanted to look at some games. Found headset for $5 less at Best Buy which is literally across the street. They would not price match or even consider. Will not be buying games or accessories from them again. They lost a good customer that has three kids that buy lots from them (use to).

Went in their to buy baritone ninja storm and the manager was condescending about my choice of the game. Telling me I shouldnt buy it and I should get some other fighting game thats more popular. Maybe I dont like standard fighting games and ninja storm is one I actually enjoy. Think about that? Hes an ass. I hate this location.

It is sad when on a saterday you only have one register open. I waited in line for over 20 min and the guy was still talking to the same customer that was buying one game. There were over 8 people in line. The manager of this store should be ashamed. Not only did they loose the hundreds I was about to spend but I may not go back.

They didnt really know what they were talking about. 1.) The difference from digital downloads and having the game as a cd is just that. The physical disk as opposed to digital game. ALL content purchased for Xbox 360 is transferred if u own that same game for Xbox one. No need to repurchased.

The assistant store manager, mark, I suppose the doc brown looking guy mentioned earlier, is an insufferable jerk. Very short and condescending, literally insulting people as they try to shop. I know retail is hard, but this guys behavior is inexcusable.

Terrible customer service. Felt like I was being yelled at for no preorder. Im pretty sure one of the employees grabbed my ass. Physical and verbal harassment
