Had a horrible experience today and was treated like theif(finding out as i was leaving it was the assistant manager Jason, couldnt catch last name) even tho I had a receipt and was within my 30 day return policy. Originally I ordered a ps3 on Game Stops Online website for their Black Friday deal. Upon receiving the ps3 it wouldnt read any game, CD, or movie so I returned it to the Covington Virginia Game Stop with ease and was treated with respect and apologizes. Manager name was Charles.. After getting the second ps3 it would play some games and others it wouldnt and the controller gave out. So today i go to the Tanglewood mall Game Stop and they were very nice and helpful and exchanged the four games that came with the bundle but didnt have a 320gb ps3 in stock so the gentleman call the Valley Veiw mall branch and ask to hold one for me. Once I get to the counter the sales associate was very nice and understanding and going to exchange the system when the assistant manager Jason comes over accusing me of sabotaging the system and telling me he doesnt know if he can exchange it and giving me a look like I stole it and was trying to get money. So then he asked the salesman to hook it up with a smerk as if Im lying. So he hooks it up and informs Mr Jason that the system is on, the controller doesnt work and there is a malfunction. So as I stand there embarrassed with receipt in hand he lets me know he cant swap it out but somehow do a resale transaction. Ive never been so humiliated in my life. All I wanted was a system that I can play any and all games on, watch movies and enjoy the system I paid for out of my hard earned money. Every Game Stop and every associate Ive encountered has always had the most out respect for all their customers. I think the store manager at Valley View should rethink his assistant manager or train him in customer service.. especially when they have receipt just asking for an exchange so they can enjoy what they paid for.

Called cause Google said they were open til 10. Turns out they closed at 9 but Google had not updated their information. It was 9:05 when I called and the guy new I was in a tight spot because Wal-Mart didnt have the video cable I needed. Not only did he let me swing by after closing to help me but also helped me sign up for their rewards program. Greg was the name of the cashier who helped me and already had everything I needed at the counter. This store has a customer for life now. Good customer service goes a long way!

Thanks for not answering the phone the first time. Then asking me to hold and forgetting about it. You werent busy, I actually walked in the store and was one of the very very few customers. While still on hold I got the joy of watching 2 employees laugh and giggle and completely ignore the phone and customers. No wonder your business is dying. Really looking forward to seeing which stores going to replace you.

Had an excellent transaction with Jason at the front desk. I have been to multiple gamestops and by far this one is the best. He not only offered excellent service, but informed me that I could renew my subscription via gamer points which nobody has informed me before about. Thanks again.
