The Gold Loan Co. is by far the best pawnshop in R.I. The manager and the owner have gone above and beyond being helpful and informative about every question anyone has. They have been in business for almost 25 years. They work with every law enforcement agency, police, attorney general and spend thousands of dollars a year to help retrieve any stolen items for victims. Its obvious this woman (Linda Froehlich), is a victim and is uninformed, but more importantly clueless above laws pertaining to pawnbrokers and should do her homework before she slanders a honest, law biding business. Precious Metals which people sell to the pawnshop, (gold, silver, jewelry,etc.) have to be held for 2 weeks before it can be resold or melted for scrap. And when someone gets a loan (pawn), the pawnshop must hold it in safe keeping for a minimum of 120 days. The reason why people can get their stolen goods back is because PAWNSHOPS ARE REQUIRED BY LAW TO REPORT EVERY TRANSACTION TO THE POLICE AND ATTORNEY GENERAL, HELLO.....That is why police can find stolen goods..This business will not knowingly take in stolen goods and risk their license..That would be Dumb Dumb Dumb... like Linda F.

This place is GREAT.. if you like getting ripped off. They pay out the lowest prices, with out a doubt. The customer service is much better on Bernon st and is much nicer then the one on Diamond Hill ( they are both connected). If you have alot of gold to loan then consider yourself lucky if you are be able to squeeze an extra 20 dollars out of them. The prices are better if you are selling, but still there are so many other options to get the most for your gold. I drive an extra 30 to 45 minutes to go to Pawtucket. Its worth the drive as you average DOUBLE what you get on a loan and about 25 - 35% more on selling an item. I do not believe a word of the other reviews, They are so far from accurate. ill end this review with an experience that lost them my business. I once gave them about 10gs of 14k and 1.5gs of 18k, I informed the man that one item was 18k, he said and I quote " It doesnt matter"!!!!! seriously...

The owner,Minh, is the real deal, hes compassionate, honest, fair, knowledgeable and extremely patient!...Ive seen him deal with unruly customers many times and I must say he has got to be one of the most patient people I know. I think hes given me a loan three or four times on the same jewelry. I always smile when I see him. Aside from being easy on the eyes, hes genuinely a nice person, Each time I need a loan he doesnt waste time, I cant say enough good things about him and his new employees, who are a lot like him. This business should be an example to other Pawn/Loan Companies.

This man receives stolen items. ..knows that police reports have been made for these items and then CHARGES the person the items were stolen from when they go to get their things back. ..even when told by the police it is against the law.....THEN says , knowing who turned in the stolen items, that if they come in with any more stolen items that he will sell it right away instead of returning it to the rightful owner. ...AGAINST THE LAW!!! This establishment is being watched by the police. .this man is not an honest business man!!!

Very impressed! Went there with some old jewlery from ex boyfriends etc. Both with silver and gold, only a handful of peices. I expected less than 100.00 I GOT 200.00. The employee was knowledgable, courteous, and respectful. I expected something way different and I was gladly surprised. Thank you, and you will have my business again! I went to the location at Diamond Hill in Woonsocket.

This gold buyer is the best. I brought in some gold and silver jewelry. They valued it, telling what was worth what so that I could decide to sell or loan or walk away. I did check a lot of places before this place, but Min(pawn guys name) gave me the low down on the value and explained why very clearly. They offered me more for my gold than the other places by far.

I was very pleased with the gold buying service. It was a bit loud so I wont give it a 5 but it was fast and easy. The owner explained things very clearly and the price of gold is still pretty high. They paid the most of all the places I checked.

Went there with some broken jewelry expecting to walk out with $20 if that and the man broke it all down for me and explained the weight and handed me nearly $100! Very honest people. Great atmosphere. Fair prices. Great experience!

This is a check casher and a pawn shop near coffee connection. They do check cashing but the late night check cashing is over on social street called ABAL check cashing. Great service here and faster than the bank

Great place to pick up some electronics for Christmas. Flatscreens way cheap! They dont have any pawn shops in Pawtucket yet but they do have a pawn shop in Cumberland, RI.
