I am leasing a 2014 Toyota Camry from this dealer and let me tell you something... it has been a terrible experience from the get go. First, I was lied to about what the car was equipped with. My only two wishes were blue tooth and xm radio. The salesman helped me pick the car that supposedly had what I am asking for. By the time I was done with the paperwork, it was just about closing time so the salesman told me to come another day to set up the xm radio with the 3 months free trial. I couldnt have been more pleased at that moment. I came back few days later to set up my xm radio and found out that the car doesnt come with it. I complained and he denied telling me anything about the xm radio. The managers response was simply that it does not say on any of the paperwork that it has the xm radio and I got what I signed for. Well.. He is right. They fooled me once and shame on me for trusting them before signing. Now the lease is coming to an end and I reluctantly drove there to explore my options with the intention to buy the car. The finance manager comes out and maybe because he was wearing a suit and I was in shorts he felt like I was not even important enough to bring me to his office. Out on the floor I told him about my intention of buying the car and I simply asked about my options and how the rates offered by Toyota financing compare to the credit unions. He arrogantly tells me that I dont have the option but to go with the Toyota financing if I were to buy the car. In my professional experience in life there is no such thing as there is no other way. So i told him yes there is a way. I can pay for it cash. So do not tell me there is no way. Furthermore, I did my homework and called the Toyota finance 800 number and I was told that there is a "Direct Sales Document" that the dealer and the bank can work on together to get it done through another financial institute. How about that for more options???? After my initial incident at the inception of the lease , I asked to have all my service transferred to another dealer. And now I will most likely ask them to help me with the purchase since it appears that the ones I dealt with at colonial do not know what they are doing and they are full of attitude. Thanks

I took my car to Colonial Toyota in order to get it checked out before making a long vacation road trip after being referred to them by several friends. They quoted that the possible repairs needed would cost between $500-$600 and explained everything that may be wrong with my car and the recommendations they suggested very clearly to me. I am not the most car literate person, so I appreciated this very much. I decided to return later and get the repairs on my car done there expecting (like at most car dealerships) that they would find more things wrong with my car, since I had waited a few weeks, and that it would cost more than their initial quote. They checked in my car and called me before doing any repairs, they informed me that after a through inspection of the necessary work the total would be around $250 (Which was surprising to me, and I loved to hear). I told them to go ahead and when they called me to tell me my car was ready to be picked up, they informed me that it was going to be even cheaper for me than they initially thought. The total ended up being $213. They easily could have screwed me over and overpriced things and I would have known no difference, but they seem to be very honest hard working people. Thats hard to come across now a days when it comes to car dealerships and car mechanics. They didnt try to over sell me or talk me into making unnecessary repairs and they got my car in an out within the time frame they had discussed with me. The employes were all professional, approachable, friendly, and helpful. On the downside, the time frame discussed was a little longer than other dealerships had quoted me, but well worth it for their thoroughness and honesty . Other than that I could find nothing to complain about. I highly recommend Colonial Toyota if you are looking to get repairs done on your car. They are good people running an honest business. I will be sure to update this if I ever have an experience with the sales department.

All was fine until it came to working with the finance office. I had come with check in hand for the purchase yet I had to go and sit with this guy who tried to steer me into one of his loans. I kindly gave him his due. Hes got a job to do. So by him simply putting my number into the program I started getting calls " at the desk"! from banks "ready to finalize" my application. 3 or 4 calls in 5 minutes. I finally realized what was going on and started not accepting the calls and gave the guy an ultimatum. I said stop now and finalize the purchase and accept my check for the full amount immediately or Ill walk out the door. The remaining minutes were silent. I left with the car. It wasnt until later when I began to see what damage had occurred. My bank monitors activity and began sending me notices that they received a blizzard of credit checks. These went down as black marks on my credit score and impacted it negatively. This routine of the sell process may be normal and acceptable practice to some folks but not to me. I certainly learned a lesson that day. It is that the buyer in in command if the purchase and not the financing office. If you go in ready to pay in full ask kindly to skip the song and dance or else you can take your business elsewhere. I will say my Salesperson Scott Maurice was top shelf and my experience with him and selecting the car was great. It fell off the cliff once I was required to go to the finance office.

I leased a 2016 Corolla S from this dealership this past August. Throughout the entire process I was treated with the utmost professionalism and respect. Having entered the dealership after doing my own thorough research, I was at first unsure of what to expect. However, after conversing with the salesman, Matthew Lebeau, I found everything he was saying to be both truthful and helpful beyond my own research. He discussed with me what type of lease would be best based off of my own needs, and brought me on a test drive that same day. At the time I was working full time in Boston, about an hour and a half from this dealership, and explained to Matt that I would be unable to sign any papers for a few months when I returned home again. He immediately offered to drive up to my work in downtown Boston and meet me during my lunch hour at no additional cost. That is unheard of these day! Lastly, to further add to the exceptional service, Matt dropped off my car at my permanent residence located 15 minutes from the dealership. I would highly recommend meeting with Matt Lebeau if you are interested in buying or leasing a new Toyota. I not only received the best possible deal, far and away better than any other dealerships throughout Rhode Island, but left satisfied with my experience from beginning to end.
