I like what Oh My Dog stands for and that is the reason why I decided to bring my dog Ellie, who was 3 months at the time, to get groomed. But for as long as I have been taking her, which is now almost two years, it seems that every time I arrive no one remembers us. I have always noticed it but never took it to heart, but I decided to add this to the review since I will be explaining an incident that not only happened once but twice. Back in the summer I took Ellie for a groom and the groomer accidently nicked her ear with the clippers. The wound was really small, and it did bother me, but I understand accidents happen and I moved on from it. I have taken her a few times after that with no issues until last month. The same incident from the summer had repeated, but with a different groomer. This time it was worse. Before I picked up my dog I was informed they had nicked her ear, and was assured that it was small. When I did pick up my dog though, an odd paste covered her ear and the wound, which made it hard for me to understand just how bad the damage was. They informed me to leave the paste on for a week, and that the bleeding should stop. I did question if the groomer had actually snipped the ear, but was rest assured that she did not and it was only a small cut. So a week later I took Ellie back to have the paste removed, to find that not only was the ear actually snipped, but did not heal at all and continued to bleed as if it were a fresh wound. At this point I was extremely frustrated because if I was told prior, I could’ve taken proper action, and my dogs ear would’ve healed sooner. They’re excuse for it happening was that smaller dogs, like my own, always tend to “flick their ears while they’re being trimmed.” If that is the case, you’d think they’d be more careful and take the proper precautions while grooming smaller dogs. I also did not appreciate the unprofessionalism of how they tried to hide just how bad my dogs injury was. While they did offer me a discount for the inconvenience, I honestly regret paying at all. Adding to this I also had to pay for the proper medication to care for her ear. Again I do understand accidents happen, but after experiencing the same incident with two different groomers, I decided it was enough for me to not take my dog there anymore. A month later I’m still very upset that it happened. When you take your dog to the groomer, you expect them to be in good hands, and now I’m afraid to take her to any other groomer, thanks to Oh My Dog.

My dog went to daycare here and somehow got into the cleaning supplies for the floor. I was told that the girl was walking by with the bucket and mop and he dunked his head into it and drank a big gulp of the water with chemicals in it. No one ever called me when I was at work to notify me of the situation and when I picked him up ( which was hours later after the incident occurred) he was so sick drooling everywhere and puking and they didnt seem to care at all. The poor guy had diarrhea and dry heaves and would not eat or drink water and just kept moaning. Thank god I called the vet and they assisted me. He is obviously fine now but he was like that for 3 days. He will never be going back to that place again.

This place is a joke! They have no experience in telling people how to train a dog. We adopted a pit bull and went there to get some products for her. We asked about training her. They told us to spit in her food to show her that we are the boss and its a privilege for her to be in our home. They also gave us horrible advise that is actually harmful to a dog. I walked out! We told our vet about this and our vet said that the information they gave us is false information and no one should be telling people information like this. Do not shop here. None of these people are licence trainers and everything on their web page is false informatiin.

I always make a stop into OH My Dog whenever Im in town. By far my favorite local business. Every time I visit I am greeted and offered help and suggestions with my purchase. Every employee has a smile on their face and honestly how couldnt they when they are doing amazing work. Oh my Dog is not only my favorite store but my favorite cause too. The fact that my purchase helps fund a local rescue makes me feel good about the money I spend. If youre in the area you have to stop by, meet the pups and take some treats home for your furbaby.

They are wonderful! Both my boyfriend and I bring our dogs there to be groomed and they are so pleasant, welcoming, and caring for our dogs. I completely trust both of our dogs in their care, and they have yet to disappoint. Plus, their grooming is pretty affordable; it only cost $60 for my dogs complete treatment, and he is a medium-sized furball (since he is a Southern rescue, I honestly have no clue what breed he is). I love them and their services, and I respect their dog rescue.

I have Been in contact with the owner of OH My Dog RI since its infancy. Way back to the Jacksonville Florida puppy mills, back yard breeders and dog fighters. Where the owners of this rescue found their passion. I have never met 2 people more driven to make a difference in animal homelessness and awareness. Everything they do is for the animals. They sacrifice money, time, blood, sweat and tears. To educate the community to adopt dont shop. Dont hesitate to visit Oh my Dog !!

We have been going to Oh My Dog since we got our puppy in January. He loves going to daycare and to the free puppy play dates on the weekends. The staff are always so friendly and greet us and our pup by name when we walk in. They are very knowledgeable about the products in the store and are always very helpful, even special ordering products for us when needed. Larry the trainer is also amazing! Dont know what we would do without Oh My Dog!
