I have lived in Pittsburgh for 22 years. I did not used to shop at Littles, thinking that their prices were above my budget. But I have come to realize that their service is worth a million bucks! And it saves me tons of time. As others have said, they go above and beyond what any other shop around does in order to make sure that their customers are not only satisfied, but thrilled with their purchases. I bought a pair of Danskos. When I was in the store I could not get the sizing right since they come in whole sizes, but I knew they were the kind of shoe I wanted. After wearing around the pair I bought that really was slightly too big, I went back in to ask what I could do, and the owner promptly went to the back, got a pair of Uggs inserts, and stuck them in my Danskos to make them be a better fit. Now they fit and are even more comfortable than before! And Ive been wearing them that way for a few years now. Oh, and BTW, there was no charge for the inserts! Id say the service and quality of shoes are the two main reasons to go to Littles. I guess one could see the fact that sales people are waiting at the door to serve you as them being pushy. But if you think about it... THEY ARE WAITING AT THE DOOR TO SERVE YOU!!! I cannot think of another store where that happens anymore (not since the Pussycat down the street closed their doors). And it makes the shoe shopping so much easier. At big box stores I have to go find the right sizes myself, and then if they dont fit, put them back in the box and on the shelf myself. Do that six or seven times over, and you come to appreciate the service that the sales folks at Littles give you! I give this store five stars. I wish I could give them six.

This owner clearly does NOT value his customers, nor the employees excercise common sense and courtesy. On 12/7/2013, I purchased a pair of shoes for my four year old son. Within five minutes after paying a significant amount of money for the shoes, my son expressed his need to use the bathroom - it was an urgent need. I asked if my son could use their restroom and I was told "no" we dont allow public use of the restroom. Despite my - "but we just spent x amount of dollars on a pair of shoes"; "hes four years old and in need of a restroom"; "its freezing outside and youre sending my son and me outside after I just paid x amount of dollars for a pair of shoes?" the answer was still NO. I expressed my disappointment, they did not care. I asked to speak to the owner, and they said he was not here. The next day I sent a letter to the owner using their website and asked to be contacted before I express my review on-line and to friends/family. Their website indicated theyd get back within two days. I never received a response. So, unless you care to support a business that may turn you, a small child, or perhaps an elderly parent/grandparent into the cold night after you just paid a significant amount of money for a pair of shoes, spend your money at a business that cares about you, not just your money. At the very least, take your business to a location that exercises common courtesy and common sense.

This shoe store and its employees are horrible. They problem with them is they sell shoes, and for some reason that makes them believe they are better than everyone else. To know them on a personal basis is to hate all humankind. They are not friendly, helpful or even considerate, unless you can help them one bit. And sadly, that one bit would also include YOU buying there shoes. They are unprofessional on a business level. The employees are on commision, that is they reason the mob you when entering their store, they dont care if they please you, they want to get paid, ask about their vehicles. How can a shoe salesman/saleswoman own multiple SUVs? Lets talk about the shoes. Sadly most of their shoes are LAST years styles, or discontinued ones, which they can buy for cheap and sell at high prices, giving the employees higher commisions. So the customer is getting ripped off more than they think. Check out their supply of shoes, then look on the internet and find the same shoes for 30-40 percent cheaper and ask yourself why.

(Note: I can only speak to the mens shoe area) This is the best shoe store Ive ever been to. The selection of shoes here is the best youll find in Pittsburgh. The service is amazing. And all of the merchandise is very high quality. If youre looking for high quality mens shoes, there is no other place to go. Ill admit that the prices arent exactly cheap (theyre reasonable and on par with MSRP), but if you want discounted shoes go to Payless, DSW, etc. The service here is a model for how all retail service should be. Its honest, polite, and inviting (and not pushy). After each purchase I make here, I get a handwritten postcard from the salesman who rang me up thanking me for my purchase! After the first, I was hooked. Theyve always been helpful when Im coming in simply to look and get a better idea of whats out there, and theyve been very accommodating in matching manufacturers online sales. I cant say enough good things about this place. As long as I live in Pittsburgh, this is the only place that Ill buy my shoes.

This is the best shoe store ever. The service is impeccable. I love great shoes and they have a wide variety of makes/models. Sure the prices may be high, but they guarantee their prices (Ive looked up prices on-line while Ive been in the store and have found on-line prices to be the same as in store prices). My mom travels 2 hours twice a year to go shoe shopping here and the staff is extremely accommodating. My sister wears a size 5. She has a very hard time finding shoes. The last time we visited, she asked the salesman, Ed, what shoes came in a size 5. He brought her out several styles and was knowlegdable about the products he had in stock. If you are looking for a bargain- probably not the place to shop. If you are looking for the next shoe/purse to complement your wardrobe and will love every time you wear, then I highly recommend checking this place out. And ask for Ed. He is a pleasure to work with.

I have been shoe-shopping in Pittsburgh for the last few weeks and had been very frustrated with the selection anywhere else. Finally, I found exactly what I wanted here. The selection and quality is fantastic, and I immediately got the help I needed in finding what I was looking for the second I walked in. The guy helping me had great tips on shoe care for the winter season coming up but he also didnt push any cleaning products on me. Finally, a word about some of the "pricing" comments below: yes, some of the shoes are expensive. But for the particular shoe I bought, the original retailers price was exactly the same.
