Went there today. Go to check out. Cashier says "This aisle is closed". Cashier then walks over to 10 items or less aisle and services a couple with 2 cartfulls of food (way more than 10 items). Thats going to take 20 minutes to process. I stand in the only other line. This cashier keeps leaving, wandering the supermarket, then returning, all for the same customer, who is paying for their food with about half a dozen small checks she got from somewhere. Wait for over 20 minutes. Couple with gigantic cart full of stuff for 10 item line leaves after 20-30 minutes. Still waiting. Another 10 minutes to process all the checks. This place is even worse than the local post office at 4:00. Shop n bag should get an award for incompetence above and beyond federal standards.

Rotten fruits and veggies; if theyre not already spoiled at the store, then theyll be spoiled within a day of bringing them home. Better to go to the Fresh Grocer, two blocks down, for those. However, I refuse to buy chicken at FG because Ive gotten bone shards in two different packages, and the whole chickens here are usually quite large, so this is my chicken destination. The customer service isnt great, but they dont seem absolutely miserable like at FG. Even when there are only two registers open and the lines are 10 deep, it is so much calmer and easier to navigate then FG.

The prices are good, and their vegatables are way fresher than the Fresh Grocer a few blocks down. They also have a great selection of Hispanic and Latin foods, even carrying pigs feet (if youre into that). I will say that the belts at the registers are usually broken and it can be hard to find specific items, but the prices are better than most places. If youre on a budget, looking for a taste of Mexico, or dont have a closer store, its a great choice. If not, there are better options out there

Smells bad, stuff on the shelf is sometimes expired, and all the belts are always broken. The selection is also pretty bad- you can get your basic pasta and sauce there but good luck finding anything remotely fancy. Also pre packaged foods (like crackers, chips, etc) are so overpriced. Walk the extra few blocks to the Fresh Grocer. Thats not exactly 5 stars either but at least I dont wonder if Im going to get food poisoning from every single thing in the store.

Not the best selection, but you can find most of what you need. Compared to other grocery stores in the area, you can get in and out much quicker (i.e. At the nearby Fresh Grocer, you can expect to wait in line for at least a half hour just to pay for your food). However, the area is a bit unsafe - so much so that they have rails up to keep people from stealing carts. Theres also an armed security guard right at the entrance.

Standard big grocery store. As others have stated there is a lane or two with broken belts, but they do have signs so theyre easy to avoid if youre buying enough items for that to be an inconvenience. It isnt a fancy grocery store, but it does have some items that Fresh Grocer doesnt that are obviously catering to the diverse cultures in the neighborhood, much appreciated. I wouldnt hesitate to shop here regularly.

Sunday - Closed a half hour early. I got there at 9:30pm, the store hrs advise that they are open till 10pm. The "gentleman" or Very Rude Security Guard stopped me at the door and said we are closed. I told him, its early and I just need to pick up a watermelon for tommorow, Im 8 months pregnant I dont want to drive to another store. Still would not allow me in to purchase the one item. Poor customer service!!

NOPE! Food is rotten. Ive seen molded berries in the produce section. I bought apricots and they molded the next day. The security guard stopped me and held my reusable shopping bags because apparently other people have tried to bring bags in and steal?!? Really!? I gave them a couple of tries but with there awful customer service, long lines, trashy store, and expired food I will never go there again.

Untidy and run-down place. Staff seem quite depressed and overworked and the manager is rude to customers and staff. Some really good prices here, but many products arent clearly labelled. On several occasions I have been charged higher prices when checking out because of ambiguity or mistakes in pricing. But I keep finding myself here because, sadly for me, its convenient!

Manager there is very ignorant & very rude. Ive been going there on the regular almost everyday but after the manager said & did showing his ignorance. They will no longer received any of my money to many markets out there for me to accept that nonsense. I see why they have so many employees quit !!!!!

This place is the worst food market EVER!!! Expired food, rotted fruits, unbelievable!! The security let me to leave at 10:30. I ask "is here close at 11?" for three times. But he said "We closed!" "Do you want me to repeat?""Go! Go to the cashier!" Again worst place EVER! Never go again.

Convenient, good sales, easy in and out. Could use better lighting outside and new check out counters...with belts that work. Cashiers are are a bit less than friendly and scanners are outdated...always watch whats being rung up. I go there frequently, overall an OK place.

Neighborhood grocery store with poor maintenance, odd organization (cereal with canned spinach?) and checkout belts that dont move, so you have to push your fresh foods down old rubber counter-tops. But really, why are the tortillas with the yogurts and Triscuits?

Large enough store with wide enough selection of items. Its a little depressing inside though, in spite of the bright lighting. The produce sometimes smells stale, but the place gets a bonus point for having a large parking lot right next to it.

After being in university city for over a year and going to fresh grocer my wife and I wish we had noticed this place sooner. Its only 3 blocks further but the store is clean, not congested, well stocked, and has a great and friendly staff.

In the 8 years Ive been shopping here (closest store that isnt the $$co-op) theyve never fixed any of the broken belts. They also dont seem to mind that the store smells bad.... Perhaps I should stop coming here.

Great selection of hard to find and ethic foods, as well as reasonably priced produce. Not great prices for certain kinds of foods, but its hard to find a place with the kind of selection they have here

This the worse grocery ever the manager there is very rude. I had brought crabmeat that was out of date and they just keep changing they dates on old meat. They is one friendly cash at this place.
