Buying in store may be fine here, but NEVER ORDER AN APPLIANCE TO BE DELIVERED FROM S. PHILLY BEST BUY. After waiting two weeks for a replacement dryer, the driver was a complete no show, and lied to get out of the delivery. My tail of woe is as follows - the delivery company called at the very end of their window claiming to be at my door with no one answering. No one was there, and when I explained this they then said that they couldnt actually get there because my street was too small. I live in S. Philly and while there are small streets, mine is not one. School buses turn down the street daily, and there is an auto shop across the street that constantly has cars towed inside so this is total BS. I tried to explain this to the driver, and he then claimed he could not come because there would be no parking. I went out side and told him I was holding a spot and he should make a pass of the street and see for him self. No trucks drove by, and after 30 minutes later I got a text telling me the street was to small and he was canceling the delivery. I called the delivery company back and spoke to Chris the supervisor, who said the truck was still in the area and he would get them to come back. After waiting another 30min in the cold, I called again and was told they would not come, and never said they would. Seriously!?! I took the day off from work, and am with out dryer until for 3 more weeks. My guess is they were running late and skipped my appointment to make the next. If this sounds like the kind of company you want to do business with feel free, but I would steer well clear of the best buy appliance delivery, they are simply the worst.

I have nothing but great experiences at this best buy, every time im in there, whether its getting something i need, or just buy something i want. to clear up some of these unintelligible reviews written: (1) yes its hard to get ahold of them on the phone, theres only 1 person answering and usually people who call keep them held up alot. (2) You can look up store stock of any item on their website for any store! If youre online writing a review, you could easily be online looking up stock of a cd. (3) When buying things online...READ EVERYTHING BEFORE YOU BUY. On best buys website, it clearly states that not all items purchased online may be returned in store, and it tells you all guidelines and everything there. You can write...you can READ! (4) The last review on this list is obviously some stuck up philly @$$ hole. But im not here to insult you bad review writers. Ive dealt with some pretty smart people at best buy, and they cant make every customer happy. some customers are impossible anyway im sure of that. This review is for some of you other review readers out there to clear up these non-legit bad reviews, dont be like them, but if so, go buy your electronics at walmart.

I read the two reviews posted before this thinking maybe they just went on a bad day, but no. I was wrong. I love Best Buy and can normally have fun just wandering about browsing or get in and out quickly if Im in a rush. I went to exchange something today and not only did I call several times beforehand to see if they could do an online exchange, I waited in line at the exchange for 20 minutes because four employees couldnt remember how to approve a credit card for the guy standing in front of me. Now, I got there expected to exchange something purchased online, but apparently you are not allowed to do this. Even if it was a gift, even if your gift giver purchases it for pick-up in the store, you still cant get it. Unfortunately I did NOT know this and ended up taking the subway, to the bus, and walking to best buy because I didnt have a car. This trip that would be 20 minutes with a car took 1 hr AND could have been prevented had someone picked up the god-damned phone. Why in the world do you have 10 people milling about in the back not doing anything and clearly not picking up the phone to tell someone like me this? I wish I could give a negative rating of -3 stars.

Worst experience spending over $700. The "associate" acted like she knows it all but too good to impart her wisdom when I asked a few simple questions about the device. I used to think to buy at a store beats buying online because u get better customer service, help of an actual person etc.... But this store has definitely changed my mind. No wonder best buy keeps loosing business. All I wanted was for her to give me some details on deals and options they offered and the diff. sizes and colors of the device. Ive never owned a tablet b4 and wasnt sure which one fits my needs... so I chose to drive to the store instead of buying online. But instead she gave me an attitude as if I was asking for too much and should just tell her exactly what I want and the color I want it in. Then shell go and check if theyve got it in stock. This store is not about customer service, its about employee convenience. I say its bad management all around. I would get more help and have had a better experience buying online. I would not recommend this store even if all you need is a pen. Try every other option you have before you go to this store as a last resort.

Very disappointed. My son and I bought an Insignia 39" LCD TV to mount on his wall. When we inquired about what would be the appropriate mounting bracket, our salesman Chris sold us an after-market bracket which was rated for 150 lbs. and cost approximately $80. When we got it home and unboxed it, not only was it too big for the TV, but the kit did not contain the appropriate fasteners. When we returned it and explained the situation to Chris, it took him about two seconds to bring back an Insignia bracket which matched the TV perfectly and cost $50, yes $50 less. His half- hearted apology and, as your representative, Best Buys attempt to gouge us for an extra $50 were both abject failures. So after 4 trips through mid-day South Philly traffic and a quarter tank of gas wasted, the TV finally got mounted, but the enjoyment of doing it was overshadowed by the aggravation we had to go through due to your not getting it right the first time. Nice.

I bought a Samsung refrigerator & washer/dryer during a Memorial Day Sale for my new home. They got my business over HH Gregg because they claimed they would guarantee delivery the following weekend. Well, the delivery van never showed up & we do not have the appliances in our new home. We were able to call Best Buy south philly & cancel the order. The store manager said the order was cancelled-- I have the credit card app on my phone & noticed it wasnt refunded. Thus, I called the main Best Buy 800# & they said my order was never cancelled-- they were still charging me $3800 for items never received. Then the main number tried to cancel it...they could not because the SHADY south philly Best Buy charged my credit card but used a GIFT CARD to process the order & the funds would only be given back to the gift card.... I NEVER USED A GIFT CARD!!!! Dont trust them, still have not been refunded by Best Buy!!!
