My review is going to be based on the customer service. One of their representatives, I believe her name was Clare, made my pretty bad day a little better with just how knowledgeable and understanding she was. Petco had everything I needed to nip my cats problem in the bud, hopefully for awhile. I spent a bit more than I wanted to, but this is my first pet and I go overboard for him, Hobo the cat has his own funds. Pets are family. I believe Petcos prices are manageable for I was taking care of and you cannot beat the sense of security I felt leaving because of their services. For those interested, here is what happened: I came in about a week ago and I was upset, because my cat Hobo, had managed to pick up fleas. He never goes outside, I didnt think it was possible and he has always been well kept, so I never noticed until that day. It just floored me, because we were going on a tiny vacation and I was worried about him already. Now I thought to myself, this makes a lot of sense. He was moody lately, he was scratching behind his ear more than usual..and he had been sleeping away from us on hardwood or tile. I felt awful. So I get ready to go back out, looking for places in the area that I can get to quickly and here is Petco at the top of the list with already good reviews. Petco was where I went before I even picked up Hobo, the morning of his homecoming, I was there buying food..a bed, a toy..a cat carrier-- I would have probably bought a cat tree if I felt that we could have got to the car. I walk in and after a few minutes of looking around aimlessly and ignoring everyone, because Im worried, I reach out to Clare. As soon as I speak up. she is smiling. I explain to her what I found..and she does not give me a "Yuck" expression or that blank stare. Those are actually my expressions. She is only, calm and understanding. Clare walks me back to the supplies they have. From there, it was a friendly, down to earth, and honest conversation. She gives me options that range from price to reviews.. and every question I ask, she has a good response as answer. So I pick up a spray for the house, a comb and the dreaded flea collar. All which have done their job, as Clare felt confident they would. The collar was the Seresto Collar for cats, which does have decent reviews and information. The comb was a generic comb and the spray was Adams Plus, Flea and tick spray. Then I pick up a toy and a new collar, just because he deserves it. A week has almost passed and he just seems happier overall. He hates his collar, of course, but I can see the difference in his attitude and his fur. I hope it continues to work.

Ive never liked it since we bought a pet rat with a quarantee to have the rat seen by a vet should it be ill.It was ill.The manager grabbed our rat and wouldnt give it back telling us to pick a new one.It was obvious they werent going to pay a vets bill.They were going to kill it.We had a heck of a time getting our rat back.We paid to take it to our own vet.We contacted the head of Petco and he was outraged.She wasnt fired as she should have been,but she was moved.I dont like the way they manhandle the rats going for snake food.When they were out of frozen rats the girl told the customer if he would wait,she would "pop a few in the freezer." I dont know how theyre still in business.Abuse isnt a strong enough word.

My review is strictly based on the grooming services.. otherwise I find the store to be wonderful. I recently took my dogs to get groomed at Petco and I was very disappointed. It was the worst haircut I have ever seen. I had to go over my dog with my own scissors. They charge you a professional price for a very unprofessional haircut. I would never go here again for grooming and Id advise others to go elsewhere. However... they did do a really good job on the posh nails and I was very pleased with the way my dogs nails turned out. So all in all.. for a haircut I would recommend somewhere else.. but if you would like your dogs nails done this is definitely the place to go.

This was my first time being at this Petco and experienced the staff are not very professional. I felt that they were also a bit disrespectful towards customer service and could be less than enthusiastic about their jobs, I would think twice about applying here for employment, getting your dog groomed nor even bother shopping here. Best go to the Petsmart, which is right down the road!

Great staff, always have different varietys of hamsters but I would recommend getting more supplies for the hamsters and mice but overall great store to shop at and I have bought all 4 of my hamsters here and they are the sweetest hamsters you could ever meet I highly recommend buying a hamster from them

Its for my fur babies, whats not to like about it? I could browse for hours. And the fur babies we see there are usually child friendly so we can teach our kids proper meet and greet cat and dog etiquette. They carry grain free kibble for cats and dogs, which my family finds important.

While the store itself is nice, Ive been there several times and they never seem to carry certain items that they should, and while the management tells me to call to see if the product is in, their inventory management seems to be broken, or someone is buying up mass quantity of filters.

Always friendly staff and lots of cute animals to play with. We go here to buy their kitty litter. They provide a large bit on litter so that you can refill your buckets with. This is such a great idea to save on wasted plastic packaging. Plus, the litter is fantastic.

Not a lot of options, staff is there I was definitely looking around looking around and not one person asked me for help, so I asked someone a question and was told a one word answer and not even shown any other products. Wont be coming back to this one.

Nice store with good prices. The only problem is finding someone to help you. If you know what you are looking for or dont mind looking around it is great. If you need help you are on your own to find someone.

My puppy is in basic obedience training and the trainer Christian has been great. I would recommend him very nice and knowledgeable. He is great with both people and the puppies.

This is a nice store to cover your basic needs on aquarium products and is more geared towards the cat and dog lovers, which I highly recommend. The staff is friendly and smart.

We have been taking our dog to Petco for years. Exceptional staff and great grooming. Even worked well when our dog was skunked.
