I went to Petco at1945W Palmetto Street Florence, SC 29501. on 5/23/2017 as well as 5/24/2017 . I was assisted by Jacquella who was such a refreshing very friendly and helpful store associate! The second I spoke with her on the phone til the final transaction she had the most genuine smile and absolute awesome attitude! We see "customer service" folk all day in every corner, 90% could actually careless about helping you let alone making sure you have a pleasant visit while you are there, however, Jacquella exceeded what has become the norm. The next day I had to go back for an entirely different item and as I waited in line, again, she smiled, greeted actually had conversation with each customer. I was sure to mention to the not so friendly person who waited on me, Beverly, who took to be a store manager, why I am not sure. However, as Jacquella noticed my son and I was back in the store she came over to speak, so I told the "manager what a good employee Jacquella is. Beverlys response in the presence of customers was "well well give her an A for effort" . I responded, "No she is awesome at her job". And truthfully she really is! What kind of manager would not be pleased to have a customer say an associate is doing as awesome job? Jacquella is awesome, genuine and very helpful. Its not often nowadays that there are employees who show any level of customer service.

the staff doesnt know what theyre talking about nor do they care for the animals. There are too many fish in the small tanks, reptiles are overcrowded in their enclosures which are not set up properly; their humidity in their habitats are completely off. they have to be miserable. the birds are kept in glass enclosures which are also glassed in giving them no way to interact with humans which the quakers and sun conures (the birds they currently have) desperately need. their social and mental growth is being hendered due to this and will not be good with people. their animals are not handled meaning they have no social skills and will not make good pets. if petco truly cared for their animals they would be taken care of properly and not left in poor conditions.

The store is quite small. If you need simple pet supplies this store is for you, however if you need bigger or less common items then you will need to go somewhere else. When I went for cat flea medication they didnt have any

I love this petco. The staff is very knowledgeable and I love how my dogs look when they come back from the groomers. Ive only had one problem and the manager went out of her way to make sure it was taken care of.

I have been in this Petco at least 4-5 times since adopting a cat a month ago. It is well stocked and clean but the staff are sparse and very unfriendly. The customer service is awful.

I really love this Petco. They carry Merrick which is my favorite brand of food to feed my dog. I also love that they hold puppy play days on Saturday starting at 1pm.
