In all fairness to the Target Outlet I hate shopping but sometimes you have to do what you have to do or maybe at least what your wife or daughter wants to do. My wife and I had shopped here for years before her passing as she loved the Coach store as well as some of the other clothing stores scattered about the plaza, for me it was pretty much just the Wilsons Leather, Reebok and Kitchen Collection stores. My problem however with the plaza is the parking lot and just getting in and out of the shopping center. It seems that even the times I have been here that were not black Friday traffic once you get in either sits waiting for a parking spot to open or they go driving through like a bat out of hell not watching for pedestrians. As mentioned about waiting for a spot to park I dont think that there is enough spots available for the shoppers to use and on top of that it looks like they may be expanding the outlet. Another thing I noticed is that they have very few benches for husbands fathers or boyfriends to sit while waiting, a problem that if addressed might make the dreaded trip a bit more tolerable. I will be back since the stores I mentioned are worth the once a year visit but I would not drive the hour and a half just for Tanger.

The word "outlet" implies deep discounts on lots of valuable genuine name brand products. However this place, which I would more term a "mall" isnt selling anything at a considerably discounted rate, nor are these products that you wouldnt find other places for the same or lower prices. For instance in the Hanes outlet store I saw the same products I see in Walmart everyday for much less. Tanger is ruining the term outlet because they really arent. They are large strip malls, thats it. If you are going here looking for lots of bargains youll probably be disappointed. However, if you are a savvy shopper and know what to look for you can find a few deals. I did find a fabulous plus sized genuine leather jacket in the Wilsons, which was a boon because its hard to find real jacket weight leather jackets in plus sizes--they either feel like coats or they wind up being faux. I was happy to find this deal, but I wouldnt have gone to this mall just to get this jacket.

With the new addition of stores, the Tanger Outlets can compete with its neighboring Philadelpha Premium Outlets, while simultaneously putting another nail in the coffin of the Rockvale Outlets. My problem with this place is that, like its other competitors, these "outlets" are a far cry from the original Vanity Fair Outlets in Reading, or even the Rockvale Outlets just down the road. My other problem was that traffic was about as nightmarish as you can get. Ive never seen Route 30 looked so clogged on a Sunday afternoon, and despite putting a second entrance to the park, we still sat for 20 minutes trying to make a left hand turn, at a light cycle that lasted all of 30 seconds. I expected crowds, I expected limited parking, but I didnt expect Route 30 to turn into a parking lot. All that being said, Ill still go back and explore the place a little more, when the crowds have died down.

I think the positive reviews are because people have not shopped at other Tanger outlets and they dont know how clean and beautiful these outlets are supposed to be. Went to Lancaster location and I was shocked to see how messy, dirty, and disorganized most of the stores we went to are. Nike store smells horrible and good luck getting through the aisles. I get that youre in a tourist location and weekends are busy but at least clean the front doors with some windex. Every store except for Coach had dirty sticky floors and merchandise all over the place. Disgusting. Ill stick to my local Tanger outlets. They know how to keep their stores clean and provide a nice shopping experience for their customers. They have way more stores than Lancaster too. Tanger management, please make improvements. This location does not live up to the other beautiful outlets you have.

I love the Tanger Outlets in Lancaster, I am usually very happy about my experience but yesterday after driving two hours to get there I went into the Nike Outlet to use a Birthday Coupon that I had got in the mail from Tanger and they would not let me use it! I didnt understand why being as though it was for The Nike Outlet and the date was valid until February 28th. So I asked the cashier to ask management, they him to tell me no! They didnt come out to tell me what was their decision based upon or anything just told him to tell me no, so I returned my purchase and left out of the store to go back home. I just felt disappointed that I didnt want to go shopping anymore after that experience. I really wanted to know what was their decision based upon because I know that they could have found a way for me to have gotten that discount!

I love this shopping outlet, one of the reasons I enjoy coming to Lancaster. Stores have good selections, theres a Harry & Davids (excellent choice if youre a chocolate fanatic like me). They also have a Le Creuset if youre interested in cookware. I just like to look at their colorful teapots. However do NOT come here on Black Friday!!! Its an absolute nightmare. Crowds are out of control, a lot of the shoppers are rude. The line for the bathroom was ridiculously long, and on top of that when I went inside the whole place stunk to high heavens. I was only at the DOOR and it smelled like a large group of people had eaten too much Mexican food. So disgusting!!!! Other than that this is a nice shopping outlet, just stay away during the holidays.

Overall, a good shopping experience; lots of new stores to choose from and adequately staffed with knowledgeable salespersons. We picked up a coupon book at Customer Services; they were very helpful and friendly. I was disappointed when I tried to use a coupon found in Lanc Newspaper offering 20% off at Famous Footwear; the clerk would not accept the coupon because it did not have a UPS code. I would have rated 5 stars if this would not have happened; it seems that somehow I could have been accommodated? The improvements made to the access & parking at the shopping center are great!

Wow, definitely the best shopping center in the area! The recent addition of stores like columbia, under armour, levis, merrell, and the north face has taken tanger outlets from good to great. If theyd add a vf store (theres one just down the street at rockvale square) tanger would be a one stop shop for clothing. Id say tanger is kind of halfway between an outlet and a regular shopping center/mall. Better prices than a mall and better selection than most outlets. To me its a happy medium. Usually some great deals here especially on basic shirts and pants.

NOT impressed....I suggest not providing your email info as your inbox will be flooded with coupons that you cannot use. None of the cashiers assist or suggested using in-store or online coupons. The only store that offered assistance when I entered was Bath & Body. I recommend the Reading outlets, clothing quality is better as well. Additionally, most of the clothing is wash & wear...clothing in the VF store appear as if they had been washed before. Most stores dont offer business attire at this outlet. Reading is worth the extra travel.
