I tried on my bridesmaid dress at the Lancaster AA July 12. That went fine, the lady who helped was prompt and efficient. I was in between 3 sizes and the lady suggested the bigger size because they would be able to rush the dress (3 weeks) and have it in the store in time for any alterations needed... I thought it was weird but With the assistant being the expert I decided to trust her opinion. 4 weeks later I get the call the dress is in. We go to the store after renovations and it was a mad house. No organization, horrible customer service and just utter chaos. Finally after about 5 minutes standing in front of the register I was acknowledged. I let the lady know I was there to pick up, she went back to get the dress and asked if I would like to try it on. I told her I did and we made our way through the chaos to the dressing room... I tried the wrinkled dress on (the recommended size) and I am swimming in it. Thinking it was maybe me I asked my boyfriend and he agreed its way too big. I stood in front of the mirrors for a couple minutes, while the other sales assistants watched, playing with the dress and trying to figure out how to make it smaller on the limited time I have. Not once was I asked if everything was ok or if I needed assistance. One commented how she liked the color, but that was it. I changed and took the dress to the front to pay and then and only then did the assistant who rang me up how everything worked out. I blurted out, terrible! She looked mortified. I told her the assistant who helped me recommended the size and now Im swimming in it (I personally believe its a ploy to do alterations there and pay over half of what the dress costs - which after overhearing a conversation earlier the seamstress wasnt even there yet and she was already backed up). I then let them know it was supposed to be rushed and was not - assistant had to verify via cell phone calendar when I said this. They offered to take the rush fee off but to be completely honest its all BS seeing as I wont even be able to get it altered as there was no seamstress. Now Im in a dilemma because the wedding isnt even on the east coast so alterations anywhere are pretty much out of the question. Disappointed doesnt even cover my experience. This is the first time Ive ever felt my experience warranted a review. But the last time I will EVER do business with AA. Now I get to be part of my brothers wedding in an ill fitting dress off the horrible recommendation from an unknowledgable staff. Thanks for taking my money, yall sure had no problem with that.

I would not recommend Alfred Angelo in Lancaster. I am the bride, and yesterday my mom and one of my bridesmaids had their dress fitting (the wedding is one week from yesterday). Upon arrival they are told that they didnt have an appointment and the dresses were not there, by the seamstress. Four store employees stood around like deer caught in headlights. Long story short, the seamstress admits that she forgot the dresses and was unsure if they were even finished. She got their phone number and left for her house to get the dresses. The seamstress called and they went to her house to pick them up. Luckily the dresses fit and the seamstress was incredibly apologetic. The store manager later called my mom. My mom mentioned to her how upset they were and how they wish they would have been compensated because there dresses were not there and the appointment was forgotten by Alfred Angelo. My mom also told the manger that they are not from Lancaster, and because the store forgot her appointment, they had to spend an extra 4 hours in Lancaster until the seamstress was finished with their dresses. The manager blew it off, and they were not compensated in the least. The management team at this location is incredibly unprofessional! So shop at Alfred Angelo in Lancaster, PA if: - you think appointments are stupid - you would like to waste your entire day off because the store forgot your appointment - you didnt really want your dress to be ready when the wedding is one week away - you like to deal with unprofessional "managers" - you would like to have to go to the seamstresss house 4 hours after your appointment because she forgot you dresses Do yourself a favor and purchase your wedding dresses from Davids Bridal in York. I cant imagine what would have happened had I bought my wedding dress at Alfred Angelo and gone through this with THE DRESS rather than bridesmaids and mother of the brides dresses.

I would strongly encourage women not to even consider this place! My Mother and I picked up her Mother-of-the-Bride dress today. The woman asked if she would like to try it on and so she did, To begin with the dress was wrinkled, All the buttons were loose and one even fell off. My Mother told the 5 women (and I mean 5 women) that were standing there she was not happy with the dress at all and laid the button that had fallen off on the counter. Not one of the women apologized or said anything. The one woman said your balance is $101.04 gave my mother a paper to sign to prove she picked it up and my mother told them she will never do business with them again. We walked out the door without any of the women saying a word to us. We got about 10 steps out the door and my mother realized she did not have the button that had fallen off so she went back into the store. She asked all 5 women standing there where the button was, they all looked stupid like they didnt know pretending to look all around on the floor till the one woman said oh it must of slipped over here (about 10 feet) away from the counter but the shocking part of all is the one woman literally dug it out of the trash can. So we were not out the door for more than a minute and they had already threw the button in the trash.True professionals would have come out looking for us to say excuse me but here is your button you forgot, but no....theses 5 women threw it in the trash. So I would never ever recommend this place to anyone especially for a very special day like your wedding day! Maybe if they eventually hire decent bridal consultants, if thats what you want to call them, things might be better, but the 5 women there today are horrible!!!! Alfred Angelos is overpriced for the poor quality they sell and overrated!!!

My whole experience was absolutely terrible! I purchased my wedding dress, veil, headpiece, bra and slip from Alfred Angelo in Lancaster. I had 8 bridesmaids, 1 junior bridesmaid and a flower girl who purchased their dresses from there as well. I went there because, I fell in love with their dresses online. My 1st couple of experiences with this store was great! My wedding dress came in right on time. However, if it wasnt for me liking my dress so much I would have went else where. There were so many mistakes. My wedding gown was taking in way too much and they charged me for bra cups because, they ordered the wrong bra for me and lied about it. Then promised to refund me for the padding they placed in my dress and they never did. They ordered two of my bridesmaid dresses in the wrong size! Both were two sizes too big! Then tried to charge them $90 for alterations until I demanded that they reimburse my bridesmaids for their screw up. A couple of the girls that work at the store are very rude. Then there are others who are extremely nice. They only have 1 seamstress and their scheduling is terrible! Some of my bridesmaids had to wait an hour or more pass their scheduled appointment time to have their alterations done. This store stressed me out beyond belief. I loved my wedding dress but I wish I would have went somewhere else for a stress free feel. I was not fond of the way they treated my bridal party at all! Especially after all the money that we spent there. Do your self a favor and believe the reviews that you read on here. I know I wish I would have.
