Absolutely amazing! From the moment I walked into the door I was blown away. The shop was designed beautifully. Amanda greeted me as soon as I walked in & she took me, my mother & my mother in law to the seating area in front of the mirrors. I was given a paper to fill out asking about the price point & about my wedding day! She then went over the form & asking me questions about what kind of dress Im looking for, she verified everything Ive told her & pulled some dresses that fit my description completely. I tried on 5 dresses altogether, two of which I didnt walk out the room in since I knew they didnt flatter my body the way I would like. The other teo were stunning. But the third one I walked out in was it, it was my dress. Designed by Justin Alexander. I was perfect. She let me stand on the pedestal for a few minutes just taking it in & she knew that was the dress for me. She then put a veil on to make the vision complete. She gave me a hug because she knew how happy I was in it. Her & heather are by far the sweetest, complimenting me on how great I look & making me feel so beautiful. She helped me in the dressing room to get in & out of dresses, describing each dress as I was putting them on. After I told her I wanted that dress she then had me sign a contract stating that that was the veil a dress I wanted. I couldnt have been happier how the appointment went. They were so helpful, so sweet & sincere. & over everything made me feel so comfortable & beautiful. Thank you Amanda Ritchey for such a smooth, easy & great experience. I will be returning the my bridesmaid dresses & groomsmen tuxs.

I went to Amanda Ritcheys with my mother to look for dresses for her to wear at my wedding. I had been there before and the staff has always been very nice. My mom and I picked out some dresses for her to try on. They got a "dressing room" ready for her, which was just an area sectioned off with curtains. The girl was helping us, and we were waiting for her to leave the dressing room. She said "Im going to help you" and started taking the dress off the hanger. My mom joked "I think that I can dress myself." The sales girl explained that she would have to be in the dressing room with my mom. She explained that it was company policy to ensure the gowns do not get ruined. Needless to say, we had other options, none were nice enough to go through that. On top of that there were not any price tags on any of the dresses which always makes me concerned about what the true price really is. I can understand offering to help the customer get into the gown. I can also understand, asking that the sales person unzip and unhook the dress, leave, then come back and help zip up the dress to make sure nothing is damanged. I found it to be one of the oddest shopping experiences Ive ever had. I thought it was a terrible way to treat a customer who is planning to spend $400-$600 on a dress. It was insulting that my mother was not trusted to with a gown. When I went wedding gown shopping, I needed a lot of assistance getting into those gowns, but had a lot more privacy than what was offered to my mother. I wish I knew this before ever taking my mother there.

Beware of alterations with Amanda Ritcheys seamstress Anne!!! I had an absolute nightmare working with their recommended seamstress. I met with Anne 8 weeks before I needed my alterations finished and she assured me it would be finished on time. She told me that she would call me when she was ready for me to return for a fitting. A week before I needed the dress finished I called her multiple times and left multiple messages and she did not return my calls. I called the bridal salon who told me she was out of town and could not tell me when she would return. I finally got in contact with her AFTER the date that I told her I wanted my dress finished. She did not seem to care that she had been out of contact and missed my finish date. I got the dress from her after paying over $200 for alternations of the hem and side seam. I took the dress home with me to a different state where I was getting married to have the dress fixed by another seamstress since Anne DID NOT FINISH! My new seamstress told me she had only taken in the bust (not the waist and hips where the dress was still a good 3 inches too big!). I had to pay and extra $200 to rush these final alterations after I had paid Anne for alterations she did not finish. I contacted the owner who did not do anything to fix this horrendous experience!

We styled our entire wedding party through Amanda Ritchey Bridal! From the moment we walked in to the Fallston store, the entire staff made us feel like we were meeting up with old friends! They were all such a pleasure to work with! Almost all of our appointments were right before closing, but we were never rushed nor did we get the feeling they were trying to close up for the night. They were always very accommodating of our schedules. We had our alternations done at the Parkville store with Nancy who is an AMAZING seamstress. My gown has very intricate lace detail at the bottom, but you couldnt even tell it was altered! All of the staff at the Parkville store were just as wonderful and helpful as the Fallston staff. Its very evident everyone really enjoys their job. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! I also had Amanda Ritchey do the mine and the girls make up. There were 9 of us total and every one of us looked fabulous! No one looked unnatural! Amanda is such a joy to work with. She made me feel very relaxed on my wedding day. I cannot thank Amanda enough for everything! I cant wait for one of my sisters to get married so we can work with all of them again!

I first met Amanda Ritchey at the Timonium bridal show. She was there showcasing some beautiful gowns when I spotted a mannequin that had a gold, beaded, Stella York dress being displayed. I knew from the moment I saw that dress that it would be the one I walk down the aisle in. I set up an appointment to come see Amanda at the Parkville location to try the drsss on. She and her staff were so accommodating. I ended up trying on two other dresses but knew in my heart I wanted the Stella York. Overall, I had a great experience from my dress appointment to my fitting with Nancy. Nancy has an exceptional eye for detail and fit my gown to me like a glove. I felt great when I walked down the aisle and I thank Amanda Ritchey for helping me make that happen!

My experience was totally different from the previous review. Not to say that didnt happen to her or to discredit her thoughts, it just was very different from my own. The girls working there are so nice! I have been twice and yes, the girl did stay in the room with me to help me get in and out of gowns but when my bridesmaid tried on some dresses, they left us be to look around and try on whatever we wanted with no one in the room. There arent price tags on the dresses but I have been to two other bridal shops where that is the case too and if you just ask, they will look it up right away. I have been to so many bridal stores over the years and having been a bridesmaid several times and this is definitely my favorite!
