this mall is truly a sad story.. after the mass exodus last year they lost i believe 5 or 6 stores.. this hits keep coming.. radio shack now gone.. this place is a posterchild of how not to run a mall in 2016. they exclaim that the number of small businesses give the place a more local feeling, but when most of them arent actually open a lot. (ive been to the soap shop twice and on 2 separate occasion theyve been closed. the coffee shop is now only open 11 to 7..The antique store only open 11 to 5 most days.... and i dont even bother trying with the wicker shop anymore) i dont know if the owners/management believe their own lies and BS, but this place is going downhill and fast. you can tell that along with the decor the attitude of the management team is also stuck in the 80s . AND OMG always playing 60s music on the radio...come on...is this to accommodate the elderly mall walkers who dont spend really any money in the stores? so basically this mall is becoming nothing more than an indoor field.. its sad because on paper this location has all the potential in the world, and im sure whoever buys this in 2 years when its beyond help/saving will show the community how it shouldve been the whole time.

So sad! To me this was "the new mall" in the early 1980s, this place supposedly was recently sold and I have no idea what is in store for the future of this once great mall. The sad thing is the movie theater there has recently been upgraded and it is wonderful, mostly because you can get a beer in a movie theater! The mall has more 5 gallon buckets collecting rain water from the dripping roof than people shopping and open stores combined. Should make it into an indoor motorcycle track paintball air-soft zombie attack live action haunted war zone house playground open pit bbq place.

Its a garbage mall. There is a reason it is being torn down at the end of 2017 and two warehouses are being built there. Only good thing left there is the movies and they are getting screwed by the mall. All that money put into it and now its all going to be destroyed. I hope they can find another location for it. The movies know what they are doing and offer a great viewing experience. After the mall is torn down the only things left up there will be McDonalds, Cracker Barrel, a hotel that I forget the name of, Big Lots, & I believe A&A Auto.

Was there last year as we were passing through on a Saturday evening. Not sure if it is improved since but the place was dead. Most of the stores were empty or closed. The location of the mall is cool (way up on the hill) and the design is interesting but its just a place that feels forgotten. We both felt like we should be walking around in hazmat gear with backpacks and guns - it felt just like a place you would hide out in and restart civilization from during the zombie apocalypse.

The mall is pretty dead, not a whole lot of stores. It was surprisingly big too, not the largest mall, I mean its a one floor mall but it still felt large. The atmosphere felt very old and a little depressing, most of the mall was unoccupied, it felt a little dirty in there too. The mall made you feel almost unwanted excluding the area around the movie theater, which was surprisingly nicer. I hope they get this mall fixed up.

This is basically the "Timberline Lodge" of malls. Sadder than Steamtown in Scranton, and thats saying a lot. Its on a desolate hill in the woods, and theres little sign of life outside the oldies hits playing on the speakers. Most of the traffic up the access lane is headed to the adjacent McDonalds. Come here if you want to take some pictures of commercial history before the age of the mall up and disappears entirely.

The only redeeming value this structure has is the movie theater which is really nice. There rest died years ago and no one appears to have told the owners. The whole thing could be consolidated into one wing and then rent the rest out to doctors offices and other facilities so they were all under one roof and while you were waiting for your appointment you could get a bite to eat and maybe a movie.

What used to be busy is now, almost dead. The few stores left are trying to stay open and I really hope they can make it. The mall itself is laid out well to walk for exercise and its a cool idea to have a "drive in" movie theater when the weather is good. They still have some dinning options inside and folks were there eating so hopefully not all is lost. The Arbys looks brand new.

It was a good local mall (within 20 minutes), now soon ready to close and be demolished. Currently only the movies are in business until I think the end of the year. Dunhams Sports will be relocating. Big Lots may stay as will Cracker Barrel. The roads up to the mall from Frackville are under dispute as to wholl repair them but do belong to the mall. Not a mall within 20 miles soon.

Its horrible, the property owner is sucking this place dry of every penny im surprised he isnt ponzi scheming someone to get the change out of the water fountains as he runs in into the ground. Used to be a great mall , ten to fifteen years ago. Support local buisness and this wouldnt happen. Get off the internet and physically shop.

Love this place. My favorite part is the "Crackle Barrow" restaurant located halfway up the hill where the road looks like its been hit with mortars from overhead military choppers. The over all deadness and aesthetics make this a mall you shouldnt miss. Get there before its gone!

I can only assume that this mall is still going because of the movie theatre. Otherwise; it really needs to die out already. Everytime I visit theres yet another store closed that I enjoyed, or just liked browsing around. The only time I visit is for the movie theatre.

Bathroom was disgusting, we witnessed a theft, oldest arcade ever for kids. The entire place is just dirty, dull, and outdated. Worst mall in America. Its a good place to go if your dog needs a rabies shot and you need a diabetes clinic at the same time.

Woe be unto the soul who enters this bastion of the damned for behind its gates lies purgatory. Except for Vertigo Systems, that place is cool. Thankfully you dont have to walk through the actual mall to get there.

Dead mall. Roads leading to McDonalds and Cracker Barrel are riddled with pot holes and over grown weeds. Relatively easy access to those restaurants from I 81, considering there is no other traffic to deal with.

This mall pretty much has nothing in it anymore, I still think it had potential for a come around and I remember growing up and it always being busy. It would be nice to see this mall return to its former glory
