The Dewitt is an Ithaca legend. Moosewood - THE Moosewood - is here as well as a creative restaurant/cafe in the center. Local bookstores with University-town selections, an awesome guitar store and more. All local, no chains. Always fun to read the community announcements here, some great, some hillarious.

Its an old elementary school, not much renovated since the days of hall monitors and crossing guards. Some excellent places there, the famous Moosewood restaurant, Greenstar natural market, vintage and new booksellers. It gets 3* for the building, 4.5* for a few good stores.

This is an interesting downtown gem that houses a cooperative market, Moosewood restaurant, guitar shop, toy store, and more. The Cafe takes over a good portion of the hallway when they are open (and itll be loud) but there is a lot of good stuff in this sub-level mall.

This is a funky little place. It has some very unique and Ithaca-esque shops, including an excellent toy store, a couple of very good book stores (one new, one used), and Moosewood restaurant, which is always full, so Ive never eaten there.

I had brunch in the Dewitt café and it was very good. I loved the atmosphere but the food might have been a little over priced. (I love building that have history and Dewitt Mall was formerly Ithaca High School)

Sweet building with the iconic Moosewood Restaurant in it. Also a lovely brunch/lunch restaurant called the Cafe DeWitt. A few lovely shops and also a natural foods co-op are also inside.

The stores were very interesting and unique. Most of the items had a story. Also, I could find tourist info which is always useful in such small regions!

Set in a old school corridor, surrounded by fish tanks. Sounds weird, but its charming. And most importantly, the food is top. Great for brunch!

Its an alright little mall. I like going to the Cats Pajamas store to let my son pick out toys and so he can play with the train tracks/set.

Nice variety of little shops, GreenStar Natural Foods, yet the building is antiquated...
