I had the WORST SHOPPING EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE at KING BEAUTY SUPPLY, located in Victory Crossing, right next door to Tropical Smoothie. If you are shopping for a beauty supply store, heres my advice: DO NOT GO TO KING BEAUTY SUPPLY-unless you want to be treated like a shoplifter.While wig shopping on 5/10, I made the mistake of going in there. I entered to find a line of customers being helped by the owners/employees at the front. I made my way to the wig section and saw a sign posted saying "no cell phone photography". Since I wasnt prepared to buy that day, I knew I wouldnt be able to snap any pics of the wigs. I took my notebook out of my purse and jotted down some quick reference information: style, color, brief description so I could remember it. I had planned to come back and purchase it-if it was still there. There was no price tag so I went to the front and asked the Asian female for a price check. She followed me to the back and when she saw my notebook asked me what I was doing. I replied that since there was no picture taking allowed, I was jotting down some information. She flipped out and raced to the front where she told the Black man behind the register, the owner I assume that she "caught me writing things down" and said that I had 20-30 pages of notes (so much for her X-Ray vision). He accused me of being some sort of beauty supply store spy (whatever that is), and started going off about how I was trying to pull something and then publicly humiliated me by asking me to leave in front of a store full of customers. I tried to explain that I was taking notes for my own use so I could identify the wig when I came back. He yelled that I shouldve asked first. Huh? Asked to use my own property? He went on to say that I disrespected him by coming in and not asking about writing things down and that he had been in business for 20 years and if I didnt realize that what I had done (whatever that is) could be damaging to him, then he didnt know what else to say. I left. I HAVE NEVER been treated like a criminal while window shopping in all my life. The owners of this establishment may have been in business for 20 years but they know NOTHING about how to run one. To say that they are unprofessional-as well as beyond ignorant-is the understatement of the year. Theres a beauty supply store on every corner, it seems, in Portsmouth. FIND ANOTHER. Going to one where you can be treated as if you broke the law for simply taking down some reminder notes is NOT an option. Heads up: THEY ARE CRAZY! He accused me of trying to damage his business, Think Ill just leave that to this review.

Victory Crossing is always crowded, it has a range of shops from clothing, to banks, to appliance stores, food, hair salons, and even a car repair shop. I visited for Lowes and was in and out. I think they could cut down the bushes on the end of the parking lot by Farm Fresh to make it easier for cars to see oncoming traffic prior to pulling out (causing accidents)

Home Depot, Lowes, Walgreens, Dennys, Cook Out, Panda Express, all in the one complex. Travel from one side of the complex to the other is a little poor due to a public road with an odd traffic pattern between the two halves and the complex sits at one of the most congested intersections in Chesapeake so best avoided during heavy traffic hours.

I only shop at Victory Crossing for 4 places: Gamestop, Jumbo Buffet, Tropical Smoothie and Krispy Kreme Donuts. Aside from that, the parking lots are terrible and terribly congested (especially the closer you drive towards Farm Fresh). There are decent restaurants and plenty of fast food places around, so thats always a positive note.

Was getting ready to get out of my car when this young black girl pulled in and hit me. Than she tried to say it was my fault. Get this she did not have drivers license and no car insurance. She asked to pay when I said 300 dollars she says, Ill have it for you on Friday. Yeah right.

Lock your car door when in this shopping center. Between loitering and shady gift card sellers I limit my stops in this area of town. With the tax rate in Portsmouth you wouldnt think this area would be a lot nicer, however that is not the case at Victory Crossing.

Need to get more stores there and police need to patrol more to keep the beggars at Bay because no one wants to be harassed going it coming out of a store. Especially by those so call church people always claiming to be collecting for the youth.

So many places to shop, so many good deals and options. Everyone who i encountered was very nice and upbeat. The location sucks which is why i gave it 4 stars. Literally had ppl asking me for spare change every 20-30 feet i walked.

The shopping center is typical. It has a grocery store, shoe and clothing stores and the EZPass store is located here as well. If you live in Portsmouth come here, otherwise its not worth to drive from anywhere else to shop

Do not like shopping where bums are allowed to stand outside of stores and beg for money. Told management and they did NOTHING. Will not return. Would have given 0 stars but the minimum that I had to choose was 1

Theres a hardware store (Lowes) and a couple other places but unless you want to get begged for money go somewhere else. Cant even get out of the car before someone is asking for money.

Its convenient to my house. I shop at the Farm Fresh store mostly. Also enjoy Krispy Kreme and the Jumbo Buffet. Theres a nice Lowes store there, too.
