I really wanted this purchase to end on a positive note. But, it hasnt. I was looking to replace my beloved 2012 Fiat 500 after an accident. I searched online and found the same year and model at Brown-Daub, which is located an hour and a half away from me.. I contacted them to arrange a test drive of that specific car. I made the trip after work. I was told they had just gotten the car as a trade and hadnt yet reconditioned it, but they would do that anyway, if I chose to buy it. They also pointed out a dent that they said would be repaired.Took a test drive. It felt like coming home and decided to purchase. I came with a pre-approved loan. Got some pressure to apply with their lenders. As is the usual MO, they insisted I drive it home right then. The next few days of trying to close the deal was a comedy of errors. First, the sale price was about $2,000 over the value of the car, so my lender would not finance it. Again, pressure to apply with their lenders. I dont know how many they submitted to, but its been over a month and Ive received at least 8 denial letters, so far and they keep coming. Made a nice ding on my credit rating.Obviously, they made no attempt to match me to an appropriate lender, even though they had my credit report in hand. I said I would return the car and start my search over. Of course, they wouldnt let that happen. They lowered the sale price to its value (shouldnt have been that much more than its value in the first place). Then, in dealing with my lender, there was fumble after fumble just getting the right info and paperwork to them. Its as if theyd never done this before. Through tge process of verifying the VIN fir my lender, I discovered that the car I agreed to buy wasnt the car I asked to test drive. It was another one of the same color, different trim package. I was furious. Felt like a bait and switch. I confronted the sales manager. They had tge other car, too. But, he felt this one was a better deal so thats the one he decided to show me. Without telling me ir offering to show both. He offered to show the other car. Still leaning towards ending the deal, he asked what I wanted in order to close the deal. I said I wanted new tires because what was on it would barely pass inspection and not last the season. I wanted it reconditioned and the dent repaired. Additionally, there was an outstanding recall for the clutch. He agreed to everything but the tires. My gut told me to walk away, given the entire experience thus far, but I went with it, with the promised additional work in writing. Took it back a week later to have the work done. I also reported a problem with the ignition or starter... Some times the car hesitated or failed ti start. I was told it was still under warranty, so fixing it wouldnt be a problem. Picked it up two days later. The dent was still very much noticable and the rusted area it created wasnt even painted. It hasnt been reconditioned and I didnt have any paperwork that documented the recall work had been done. No one ever checked the ignition or starter. It was very close to closing time and the manager was not there. The salesman said he agreed it was shoddy work and he would do what it took to make it right. That was two weeks ago and I havent heard a peep from them. Im posting this negative review because 1) they tried to get by with doing the least amount of work possible; 2) they were generally deceptive in dealing with me; 3) they didnt do what they promised to do and 4) they chose to ignore it, hoping it would go away. But, its worse now because, in addition to this review, Ive lodged a complaint with Fiat USA. Next is Consumer Affairs.

Okay I seriously dont know how this place has almost 5 stars, there is NO WAY these reviews are legit.. Im reviewing Brown Daub Chrysler On Hecktown.. BEWARE of this car dealership as they run a very shady & highly unethical business, even as far as car dealerships go they are bottom of the barrel! Went in to meet with Mark, after coming to terms over email on a Dodge Ram Tradesman.. Only as soon as we arrive, we come to find out that "Mark" is busy, but "Matt" was more than happy to help us out.. (Later found out this is standard for them, make an appt w/Mark but you get whoever upon walking in). Okay, we went with it. After discussing our options, we decided we wanted a 2500 as opposed to a 3500 and after we waited for some time discovered that they did have access to the truck we wanted but theyd have to go get it & needed a $1000 deposit. Ok no problem, did the paperwork, left a check, & were told wed have our truck early the following week. Long story short, 2 days later we are informed "somebody already bought that truck" and if we wanted it, then wed need to order one (6-8 week wait).. Ummm no thanks, well look elsewhere no hard feelings.. Only 3 days later, brown daub cashed our $1000 check despite not having the truck promised to us. Called Matt up & he was so rude! Made every excuse under the sun, to include saying, "Its not my fault you are looking for a needle in a haystack!" I had enough at that point.. Said our money would be immediately refunded but 4 days later it is still not been returned. He gave a made up managers name to contact, which we discovered when we called, and left a message for a real manager to return our call. Still waiting on that return phone call. Please do not go to this dealership if you value your time, money, and sanity! Dont just take my review, other review sites (which I wish I looked into before) have loads of reviews on them, 90% of which tell a very similar story as mine. See for yourself.

We went to get a price on a new ram pickup. Our salesman was Roc Walker. I cant begin to express how much we appreciated his style. He tried to find us a truck with an 8 foot bed.Only found one but it was not what we were looking for. We then asked for a quote on the exact pickup we wanted. It was a really good price because we had already gotten one from another dealer. We said we would have to think it over. When we got home that afternoon Roc called and said that we would have to purchase it that day because they were shutting down production of 2013 Rams and that was the last day to order, He mentioned that it sounded like a scam but it was not. Went back up and placed the order that evening. He was great to deal with, no pressure!!! He always kept us informed of what was happening with the pickup. Took a while for it to come in but we just picked it up and it was worth it. I cant say a bad thing about the dealership or of course Roc. The finance department was great as well. I highly recommend them and Roc Walker to anyone buying that brand of car.

We have been trying to help my niece with repairs on a used Jeep Compass that she had purchased from your other store, Gary Lees Brown Daub Kia. She purchased a 2015 Compass that had electrical issues that the Kia store washed their hands of and directed us to try to get it fixed under warranty at the Hecktown Jeep store. We then find out the Jeep was in a major car accident with wires spliced and unacceptable welds. Gary and the staff at a kia never returned calls after numerous attempts. I hope all of the other Brown Daub stores realize that what actions their sister stores take or dont take for that matter have an effect on the reputation of the rest. My family will never purchase from this company again and we will be sure to share our stories. I hope the money they made on our family was worth it. I leave 5 stars because the service staff did what they could to help us for the time being.
