Do not take you gun into Backwoods Outfitters for repair or updates. I droped off my fathers gun in the middle of August to have some simple alterations done, front & rear sights and a new butplate installed. After several stops to see how things were progressing and being told that the gunsmith they use dropes all finished guns off on Tuesday & Friday and should be finished soon. I got no reply or phone call for two months ( I stopped 4 times). To my suprise I stopped in to collect my gun because of the length of time it was taking and the gun was still at the shop. My father passed in August and I wanted some time to get this done for hunting season but now it will be very difficult to accomplish since most of the gunsmiths are busy and can not finish the job before the season opens. I thank BWO for more pain & heartache.

The men and women that work there are fantastic; very friendly and informative. Always willing to give you the real information about the firearms they sell based on customer feedback. Their prices are rarely beaten by other shops in the area. Ive bought my last couple firearms from them and sold a few through consignment as well. Ill continue to go back as long as Im in central PA.
