Here will be my first and last review of Ink and Steel as a company. I used to think of Ink and Steel as a place I could go to when I needed a piercing or tattoo and even recommended many people to go there for their work. But after what happened Oct 26th, I cannot go to a company that has shown me they do not care about their customers. What happened was last week we scheduled for my sister to have her navel pierced at 6:30pm. We left a few minutes early and hit some traffic, but we got there exactly at 6:32pm. Upon entering the store, where apparently the piercer has his own shop set up in the same building complex. Upon entering, we go down the hallway to see the shop was completely closed, yet the sign said open until 8:30pm. I walked over to Ink and Steel, where the tattoo artist had to call the piercer, to find out he was out doing other ‘work’. A moment later, another couple came in that also had an appointment at 6:30pm, to find he was gone as well. The tattoo artist would not inform me if he was at their affiliated location and seemed unwilling to assist his customers. Storming out of the building, my sister was ready to cry after having wanting her navel done for the longest time. I ended up having to call another piercing shop, which was $15 more then Ink and Steel, but we went for it now knowing what kind of people work at Ink and Steel. This is not the first time we dealt with a problem with this shop. Last year when I scheduled to have my tongue done, I called early in the morning and got an appointment for 7pm. Upon getting to the shop, I find out that the person that took my message, assuming it was the tattoo artist, never gave my message to the piercer that I had an appointment. He informs me the piercer is going to their other location, 20 minutes away. So driving there we had to wait another 20 minutes before the man even showed up and the service was just not what I expected from this company. You would think that a large scale place would care about their customers and keep their appointments when they are made. These events have shown me what kinds of people are working there and frankly, I don’t want them piercing me or anyone else I know. I will no longer be recommending people to their place of business. I guess that goods come out of bad, because I found my new location, somewhere other then Ink & Steel, which I will be more then happy to write them a good review :]

My husband got me a gift certificate for my birthday so I would stop chickening out on getting a tattoo. I was terrified the day I went to get it but the guys are wonderful and made me feel very comfortable and at ease, which helped me go through with it. I wanted a watercolor tattoo and I was more than happy when it was done. Its incredible work! Absolutely beautiful! I cant stop looking at it and have gotten a lot of compliments on it! Definitely made my first experience wonderful and Im sure Ill be going in again for another (as soon as I figure out what I want it to be)!

I had them do a tattoo of mine. The guy, Rick was his name, was friendly enough and the tattoo was nicely done. However, when I went back to schedule my next appointment for another tattoo, they completely ignored me. I had a conversation with them about my tattoo and they said theyd sketch it up, then call me. They never called and I never got an answer about my sketch when I talked to one of the artists. Apparently, they do not care about making money because I would have been a repeat customer. Too bad they do not care about their customers.

Worst tattoo experience ever! I waited close to 3 hours after my scheduled appointment to even begin tattooing. The guy constantly screwed up my drawing, not doing what I asked of him, or listening to me at all. And the whole time I was there he was throwing things and every other work was the f bomb. Completely unprofessional!! And to top it off the place is a complete dump. It looks like an old building thats falling apart, and is not clean whatsoever. Would not recommend this place to my worst enemy

Ink and Steel is the shop I send all of my friends looking for a tattoo or piercing. I have gotten three tattoos here, and I think they are great. The guys are awesome, and always good for a laugh. They make you feel comfortable and at ease. They are very clean and extremely talented. I will continue to use them for any tattoos in the future.
