I 100% regret getting my tattoo here. The woman who did my tattoo was extremely rude, unprofessional, did a horrible job on my tat, and I found out later that she was the owner. Dont go here if you arent already covered in tattoos and piercings, she doesnt take kindly to clean cut looking people or "first-timers." Heres my story: My two sisters (family, not sorority) and I went here to get matching tattoos, something small but meaningful for all of us. The artist outwardly told us she thought our ideas were stupid. We sort of ignored her rude comments and tried to focus on each others excitement. She had no other customers waiting, but was rushing us to make up our minds about designs. When my tattoo was finished, I stood up and asked my sisters "do you like it?!" and the artist abruptly answers "NO." I noticed the shading looked sort of off on the letters, she said it was just because it was fresh and swollen. Nope, its fully healed now and the letters looks very uneven and patchy. I can only assume she did this on purpose because I took very good care of it and it was an extremely simple design I could have done myself if I had the right tools (and she clearly hated me and my tattoo). Then when we went to pay, they did not have any change and I had to go next door for change. I didnt want to tip her because she was so rude but my sisters convinced me it was the right thing to do. To the rude owner who did my tattoo- I understand that you probably dont like doing small little girly designs on discrete spots, that you would much rather do a detailed badass arm sleeve, but that does not mean you have to explicitly tell me you hate it. I have a job where I unfortunately, unlike you, cannot be covered in tattoos, so these little hidden ones are what I have to settle for. I cant just slap a skull on my ankle because I think it looks cool, and you have to accept that you will have MANY clients like me. Getting a tattoo for someone like me is a really big deal, and you need to be sensitive to that as a professional. If you dont like it, keep your mouth shut unless I ask you for your opinion. I only have two small tattoos, both were long thought out and have a lot of meaning behind them for me because they are something that will be on my body FOREVER. You not only (maybe intentionally) ruined the one that symbolizes my strong family ties, but you ruined the one-time experience of going and getting these together with my sisters.

I went into this place 2 days ago to get my boyfriend a can of H2Ocean. Walking up to the door one of the people who works there was sitting outside on the phone smoking a cigarette( come to find out later that she was the owner ). I stood inside for a few minutes and waited, the piercer was piercing someone and no one was there to help me. The girl that was sitting outside( the owner ) finally came in and continued to finish her personal conversation on the phone, she wrote down some guy named Joeys phone number on a pad standing right next to me and proceeded to tell him that she was coming home for a visit in September and they should get together when she gets there. The piercer came out of the back room with 2 girls, one of which got her belly button pierced so she was still talking to them about that. The one on the phone ( the owner ) finally finished her phone conversation and then asked me if I had a question about something. I asked for my can of H2Ocean and left very annoyed. Upon getting home I remembered my boyfriend going in their a few months back to get a piece of jewelry changed and the piercer asked him if he was going to "offer her a tip". So, I went on to facebook to see if they had a page and I came across the owners page. I sent her a message letting her that she was very unprofessional and rude and also let her know about what her piercer did a few months ago. She replied today and told me she was sorry for the way I felt which was fine and professional but...........She then, 15 minutes later let her rude piercer reply telling me she never asked for a tip. Now, my original email was letting her know that she was unprofessional and rude and by letting the piercer also reply was way unprofessional. I did reply to that and let her know that she proved me right and I would be making bad reviews about her shop. So, if you are in the West Chester area drive into town and go to Extreme Ink and save yourself the rudeness from these individuals.

My friends and I went here to get nose and belly button piercings. Tabitha Shrodes was at the register, and said that she would be piercing us. My friend went back to get her nose done first, and Tabitha invited us to watch from the window. Things were going fine until she went to put the needle in. Halfway through inserting it, her hands started to violently shake. After multiple failed attempts to pass the jewelry through the needle, we had to ask her if she was alright. She said there were just too many people watching. So we went to the front of the shop and waited for her to finish. After a bit, my friend came back out bleeding with no piercing. Apparently, the Tabitha was unable to calm down enough to stop shaking and get the jewelry in. My friend asked her to stop because she didnt feel comfortable with someone clearly unsure of how to do a basic piercing touching her, but was told that everything was fine and Tabitha kept going. After more attempts to insert the stud she gave up and we all asked for our money back before she had the chance to touch my other friend and me. We left and drove 10 minutes to Xtreme Ink in West Chester where my nose was done in 5 minutes. I highly recommend them. A professional piercing specialist should be confident in their work. We have since heard from other people that our experience at Local Color was not unique. I will make sure to warn the people I know against coming to this shop.

LISA and ALL the tattoo artists and Tabitha the piercer are AMAZING at what they do! Ive gotten more then one of my tattoos there by 3 different people and they were all wonderful experiences. My first tattoo was one of the hardest emotionally to do because it was a scar cover up and I was nervous to be showing my scars. But the environment was so vibrant and care free that it made it so much of a more relaxed tattooing experience then I expected or anticipated. Lisa did that tattoo and she did an amazing job, she took my design and added her own twist to enhance the design the way I wanted it to be and I love how it turned out! You DO NOT NEED MULTIPLE TATTOOS TO BE LIKED HERE! THAT IS FALSE! I didnt when I got my scar cover up. Nor does everyone else walking in. Its a very clean shop and its just a great place to get your tattoos, by any of the artists. LOCAL COLOR TATTOO IS LEGIT! <3 Lauren
